STOP WHEN I SAW MY ART I WENT CRZY 😭. this is such an awesome project pufuu! the way you’re so determined to help others out with this beautiful mess of a style is honestly admirable, and amazing. keep up the awesome work!
I'VE BEEN SO DESPERATE TO FIND BRUSHES TO REPLICATE THE ARTSTYLE AND I WANTED TO BE ABLE TO DRAW TENTACLES YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The amount of editing work, visual style and attitude you out into your videos is so amazing Pufuu! This is another banger, thank you so much for the well explained tutorial. (Also loved seeing my art moots featured in here y’all are killing it) 💛✨
It makes me jealous how much you love Splatoon and proudly show it in every bit of your personality… Makes me angry just how talented you are… Yet I have nothing to compete with, and I did use your brush pack to create some of my best works! You really deserve more subscribers than 25k 💜
Well half of this went over my head, considering I'm still a pencil paper artist (me = broke) and don't understand things like clipping masks and overlays (How about light sketch pencil and eraser?) but still, I said it in the first one and I'll say it again THANK YOU. This was SOO helpful in so many ways. I aspire to be an artist as good as you Love drawing Splatoon, looking to get better. I'd send tons of artwork, if I could. Currently going through a long bout of creative block (writing AND drawing? Ugh), but nothing gets the creative juices flowing like amazing art from an amazing person showing me I can do amazing things if I try. Thanks again!!! And Stay Fresh ;)
I wanna say something I found actually helpful. So if your learning anatomy for like fan made pop stars or even just the inkling and octolings, the pokemon Splatfest Art with shiver on team grass gives you a really good look at good curves on inklings and octolings, like they have a little bit of a perk on there hips anyway shivers body shape helped me a lot with anatomy hope it helps u too
this was amazing i have seriously been thinking about going into animation for a career, so, seeing art and learning about things like this really get me exited for the fact that I could be animating things like this some day! Finding something i'm truly interested in has been a struggle and with graduation coming up soon I feel like its crunch time, and this really just gave me a push in what i hope is the right direction. I have drawn my whole life and really enjoy it but cant draw things that aren't just copies of pictures or things i see, this really inspired me to try something new and experiment with color since i usually only use pencil. Thanks so much for such a great inspiration!
Thanks for the tips Pufuu! I’ve always loved the Splat art style (even before I knew anything about Splatoon.. my first exposure was the Splatoon Smash poster) and would try to replicate it in my own art. Your advice on over rendering is something I actually had to catch myself because my default art style looks very 3D while it’s not bad, I personally prefer a more 2D style to my art. Also, on over-saturation - that was really helpful. My default colouring and art style is generally very muted and earthy (for regular animals, landscapes and other character art) yet for some reason the second I decide to draw Splatoon characters I let myself get too carried away. Same with shading, I should really be more brave to use textured brushes - I think a generally good tip is to also avoid using too smooth of a brush. My go-to shading brush is actually the Procreate native Gouache brush, which while not as untextured as a round brush, airbrush or the smudge tool, has a very subtle texture and tends to give my art a smooth, 3D finish, unlike in official art which uses something much more textured and applied rougher (the closest native Procreate equivalent I found was something called the Nikko Rull, which I have a love-hate relationship with - not sure for other art programs). Either way, this video (and the last one) is extremely helpful and I will definitely return to refresh myself on how to replicate the Splat style much more effectively. Thank you!

0:46 True, “Target Town” was the most difficult and longest stage. Besides “Those Aren’t Birds” with the Squiffer, I had prolonged that way after I beat the story mode and even “After Alterna”.
Can u go in on the splatfest sketchy art style? The one where that characters r in theme with there respected teams. Its so loose and fun to look at I just love it.
There is something about the ink coloring for the hair that confuses me How come Squid Sisters and Off the Hook have a primary color and then their ink color (for example Callie with her black and then the pink that changes color depending on her ink) but then the playable characters and Deepcut just have their hair as their ink color Are they just born with that primary color or can they choose their color because Marina in the Chaos vs Order has her hair completely white. sorry if this confused you i suck at explaining things
Quick thing I noticed about line of action, the leg that is supporting the character’s weight is always on the line, it gives the idea of freedom with the other leg, imo
Don't compare yourself to others! There isn't "good" or "bad" art and with enough theory and practice, I'm sure you'll be able to find the art style that matches you best! Good luck and I'm sure you'll figure it out!
hey for the CSP brushes, for some reason the textures on some of them seem to be inverted, don't work quite like how they would in the video (which is kinda obvious considering you're using procreate but still)
i used your tutorial to draw my icon 😭 it took me a while to get a hang of it but i think it turned out pretty well
AHHH IT LOOKS SO GOOD!
i recognize you from the art channel on the salmon run server! it turned out great
What drawing Peterman
your icon looks so good!
So good
Honey, wake up! Pufuu uploaded another tutorial! Time to expand our brains with the juicy Splatoon knowledge!! 🤓🧠
why would you said that to your wife
@@NIGHTBLOODUSAGI they're both part of the Splatoon fam?
I mean who isn't?

This video will definitely make my splatoon art WAY better. I've been drawing splatoon for a while now, and I still need some tips! Thanks Pufuu!

you're literally so awesome Pufuu thank you so much for this and the last video on how to draw in the Splatoon art style :]
Yes a pro guide I wanted to learn and now part 2 released
I want to get into digital art, but it's hard for me to get used to the delay when I've been drawing on paper my entire life.
I finally got my Nintendo Switch Splatoon 3 model and Splatoon 3 game for Christmas and now I’m enjoying playing Splatoon 3

Don't compare yourself to others! There isn't "good" or "bad" art and with enough theory and practice, I'm sure you'll be able to find the art style that matches you best!
Good luck and I'm sure you'll figure it out!
