As a beginner, my two main mistakes were lack of sleep and not eating enough. I was disappointed because my weight stagnated for a long time. Then I decided to get a meal plan (I think it was from Next Level Diet). I realized that my previous food intake was way below my needs, although I thought I'm good. At the beginning it was hard to eat so many calories in a day, but I got used to it. I started noticing real gains and it felt amazing. I wish I'd understood the importance of diet earlier.

I noticed the same thing bro. For myself, I noticed that just adding homemade shake (1k calories), that was a difference maker for my caloric intake
Yeah I agree my first couple years 1-2 maybe even 3 I was just eating whatever not tracking enough.. come to find out it was way below what my body needed to recover, too much volume in workouts too, PRs every week, not the right split and I spent too much time watching the wrong info…so instead of my entire body growing from recovery, it almost plateau’d forever, until I did the right meal plans and did the right amount of volume/weights/sets/intensity. I had to stop watching the Brah and pump workouts and realistically look at it for my body. 16 sets of intense 3 second contractions did the most amount of growth as to before I did 20+ sets/week of each body part just repping heavy manageable weight but it was not controlled weight.
