Honestly, you summed up right from the start what made its qualities, which is a true modeler, but without the complications of today's screens, with real easy-to-use buttons, not a dozen of sub-menus and enough effects for most people, like chorus, tremolo, etc. It convinced me, I'm buying one tomorrow.
I bought this a few weeks ago and have been watching reviews for weeks on this. Your vid has been super comprehensive in terms of range of tones and styles. Great job love it.
"Vox, fender and Marshall...the 3 main food groups!" 😂🤣 So true🤔 yet again Leon you've come up with a guitar related t shirt print idea. Oh fantastic demonstration by the way.
@@heavybrett-al4082 I actually avoided Marshalls for ages (30 years?) out of some desire to be different. Finally bought the JCM800 last year. I only need something like a Jazz Chorus and maybe a super hi-gain amp (although I do have an ADA MP-1 & 2) and I'll pretty much have a complete collection.

Look you ladies and wimps who are negatively commenting about this pedal - for classic rock you can't beat this pedal it has that classic rock feel does it better than any other modelar or profiler out now for classic rock
Great Demo! Waiting for the competition but this one looks prefect for my need. Adding a Beebo in the loop would nail just about anything you want imho...
This does a lot as a blank pedal platform - but the filth tones from the Amp1 Iridium still dunk on this unit. The name similarity is cringey tbh. Not the best call Blackstar. “We’ve got a new modeler the Fractaled 3!” Line6 did it the right way with a tip of the hat to the Boss Katana with their Catalyst. We see what they did their!
It's a really cool device. Though, the one thing, i think it lacks, is a switch between two amp channels. Because you can't get a clean/Drive switch unless you use the drive boost... Better if you could switch between two amp channels...
I just started watching and love this thing already. I would leave it on classic and EL34 or 84 and crank the gain and maybe push it with an SD1 and be in music Nirvana. 😂 Man, that modulation sounded great I thought. Especially when you first started playing with it. ♥️🤘♥️ Sounds like it would be a great amp. ♥️🤘♥️. I would probably want more gain though. 😂. I just love high gain. Not fuzz though, but fuzz is cool too ♥️. I loved the gain cranked on the 6l6 mode and you adding a drive as well. Sounded great man! Great demo already as usual sir. ♥️🤘♥️
I got one and like it alot. But my 2 complaints are 1, it's only a single channel amp and 2, the tuner buttons are too far apart to simultaneously stomp.
Hey Leon, great video, however I was a bit surprised and perplexed by the noticeable difference in tone with the tube response. Most videos I've seen haven't produced any noticeable eq or perceivable difference other than gain structure. I think what's going on is that it's copying the tones from the overall circuit from different power amps, a lot of which I don't think really has much to do with the actual type of tubes. Maybe I'm completely wrong here, but those are my thoughts at the moment.
A box like this could make me play more. Currently I'm getting lost in all the presets, parameters and options my modelers have to offer .. I seem to do more knob twiddling than actual constructive playing ( fun yes, but I'm not getting any better.) This box sounds plenty good. The only thing I see missing is a compressor. Maybe it's not needed here?
Great vid mate , been waiting for this one to come out. Question-when using this with midi , what is saved per patch? All Knob and switch positions ? Effects on / off ? Or is it more rudimentary
Good question - you can control the fx stuff individually with midi cc's but I'm not sure what midi pc's do. You can definitely save presets using the software.
The amp sounds great, especially the EL34/84. I'd use those at a gig anytime. I suppose the effects are ok, but I think there's a bit of a tone quality issue there. Regardless, nice.
It's really interesting to me that the market is responding to people who love digital products, but also those purists who don't like digital products or menu diving. I'm going to make a bold statement and say AMPs will always be around, but much much less prevalently in the future because pedal board amps are easier, smaller, cheaper, and sound at least good enough. Digital representations I believe sound as good and better in many instances. The tech has really caught up. If they can just get the feel down, it will be complete, and I think co panties like Boss / Roland are well on the way to that. Speaking of feel. Leon. Have you thought of doing a review of the old Eleven rack? It's really good and sounded great I thought and even better felt like a real amp to me. Have a great day kind sir and I hope all is well for you and your family and friends. Pet the kitties too for me! ♥️🤘♥️

Don't do a video for launch day - get comments asking why I didn't do a launch video and when I'll do one. I figure if people are interested in this and they like what I do they'll get something from it. If they're getting launch day fatigue they can watch any of the other 2000 or so videos I've done on here.
Can’t believe that’s over £500 , seems like someone would make use of it, simplicity is good but very limited also sounds pretty bland and uninspiring to me with not much wiggle room to tweak it for different scenarios. £250 -300 is wheee I feel something like that should be priced.
@@BubbaHotepLiveBand not if you look at sub 500 amp heads / floor preamps. Do t forget most of this is digital with a cheap solid state power section . You can get a great small valve head for less than this with cab sim.
Cost of a standalone preamp pedal + drive + delay + verb + chorus + power amp + IR loader + power supply + midi switcher + DI + headphone amp would likely run way over the price of this.
