AMPED 2 is a 100 Watt pedal power amplifier with drive pedals in the front end, and an advanced effects processor capable of delivering the tone and feel of a traditional valve amp. You can use it to power a cabinet, go direct or connect to the front end of a traditional amp, ensuring you can take your sound with you anywhere. Power reduction down to 1W and USB-C connectivity means it’s equally at home in the studio or the stage.
The power amplifier’s unique, high-headroom design does not compromise on output even at 16 Ohms. Get maximum power and optimum tone with any cabinet set-up at 8 or 16 Ohms. Blackstar’s patented Response control offers distinctly different and authentic power valve responses and guitar amp dynamics!

What do YOU guys thing of the new Blackstar AMPED-2? Personally, I love it (if you couldn't tell, haha) and it's now the heart of my live rig! Blackstar have started 2023 off with a BANG! 💥🤘 - Dagan
This is so close to the Boss Katana100 I modded into a floor amp 2 years ago because no one made what I wanted, this is neater than I made but in function, I think i still have this beat, I'd love to know if Blackstar seen my video and thought "ooooh that's a good idea"
R.I.P. to everyone who drank whenever Dagan said "mint".
He's a Geordie, by law he has to say it at least every 2 sentences. Otherwise he gets deported to Sunderland! 😂
Lol I'm dying dead😂
Can’t wait to see your updated pedalboard with this on it 👍
I love this channel I learned so much and I love guitars this is the best channel for people who want to learn about guitars and equipment
Sounds amazing!
This channel helped me get my first guitar and amp from pmt. Thank you.
Please do small reviews on the practice amps like Nux Mighty Plug or the newer Pro.
If I still played gigs I would just bring this and call it a day, really cool piece of gear!
I love blackstar amps and gear and this thing is super cool going to have to pick one up for sure!
The tapping at the end 🎸☠️
Impressive!!!
Super cool 🤩
All the people need to know that you CAN change your presets. Easy as programming a midi controller. It frustrating Blackstar isn’t getting ahead of this. Cheap easy and flexible answer to a common misconception.
Reminds of when someone created a pedal enclosure for a Katana and the GAFC controller.
Too bad they didn't add dedicated switches for the different amp models so you can switch on the fly live.
My thoughts exactly. From everything I've seen, this is a ONE channel amp with three possible amp type options.
They missed big time not having channel switch feature. They should have done same as NUX Cerberus.
Amped2 Manual says:”Local Patches cannot be saved to your amp. They can only be recalled and loaded to your amp when connected to Blackstar’s Architect [software]“.
Exactly. You need to change channels live. It's the only reason why I didn't buy this. I am sticking with my Silverline 100W for now.
Dagan .. what is that blooming amazing Kramer you are playing
So many tones
I’m assuming it’s yours and modded
Thanks as always for a great demo
It cheered up a miserable morning in Berwick 🤣🤣👍
Ps Huge addendum ( can you get cream for that?) that unit is so good thanks for that too 🤣🤣🤣
Another great video. What model is your Kramer?
It's definitely been an embargo lift day for this product.
Hello, nice vid. Question: the Kramer guitar your shreding, is that particular model for sale in the market n if so where can I find it plz?? Keep up the great work your doin man.. you rock!! From Michigan USA!
Did you receive the new ToneX pedal? It’s crazy good (tried one!) , first videos to come mid February but do you have preorder?
I want that Gibson explorer!
CAB SIM. Sounds pretty good, but mic'ing cab sounded better. Does Cab SIM has a Room setting ... via App?
Can you change channels on the amp with a footswitch
SO you plug this into your cabinet? or head?
Can it save 1 or 2 presets which can then be toggled between?
how does it sound being used with other pedals like reverbs or wahs or do i even still need other pedals after this
How do you change channel and presets?
Sounds great! can you change from a clean, to distortion, say for a live gig?
sadly not, you can't change channels or even save presets
Like that AC DC sound at 22.00
That is NOT the ACDC sound.
now if peavey could do something like this with the vypyr .
For those interested TC Electronic has released a pedal that combines, I believe, the majority of their pedals into one with multiple footswitches. I recently ordered it and it's amazing for having many pedals in a practical format.
Plethora x 3. You can get the X 5 which is much larger and has been out for around 3 years.
@@RT-if2ij yes I was talking about the X5 , just bought one and waiting for it in the mail
Sounds great!it would sound even better possibly with a couple pre-amp valves or a nano tube but I'm impressed for having nothing it definitely Sounds very good better than the katana especially the clean tone!
Hello
Does anyone know if I could use this as an amp+cab and just plug this straight into my usb interface and dial in some good tones?I dont need to use an actual cabinet right?
Ive been thinking about getting an Iridium but then I saw this one and im really torn about wich one to get? Im a intermediate-ish guitarist thats just looking to having a simple and decent enough headphone/recording setup at home, and I love that this one seems very hands-on with actual psyichal knobs and stuff!
To specify, I just want to use it as a headphone amp and be able to record DI into my daw directly if its possible?
I believe the answer is ‘yes’ to your questions. I also believe that the Amped 2 can serve as an audio interface on its own via its USB port.
Aftre some consideration and the need for a lightweight amp for ampless rehearsals and.or gigs, I've bought it more than a month ago, and I'm a happy camper. 🤩
It does exactly what I need it to do, and combined with my TC Electronic PlethoraX5 (that does all time-based or modulation effects I might need, and has e ton of savebla settings and patches) and two drive pedals or a dual drive, I'm all set sor ampless rehearsals and/or gigs. 👌
I am a big fan of tube amps, I have several, and this pedal, hooked up to my 2x12"sounds exacly like my tube amp heads, without the colossal weight. 😅
Too bad my parents can’t afford a creamer 1984. one of my favorite guitars ever Especially the red one.
Get a job
I'm really curious to see what Thomas Blug's ampX is going to sound like the amp1 mercury edition sounds unbelievable it's definitely the best pedal board amp ever !imo
I can't even begin to understand why this doesn't have presets, that is a huge step backward for this kind of device.
Low down dirtiest reviews on the youtube!
Not bad. I would probably use it, being a technosaur… However, it does seem a bit backwards, considering where other brands have progressed to. For instance, this cannot even compare to something like a powered Kemper, and that’s 10 year old+ technology. Then again, it’s also in a different price bracket. Nice demo.
I’ve owned Kemper and Axe-FXs, and while they are good for professionals who need a huge range of tones and effects, they are WAY too much for most players. This is not only far less expensive, it is far more useable for home players and even some gigging players. I could dial in 90% of the tones I listen to with almost no fuss and fiddling, and could get close enough to the others. So for me this is pretty much the answer I have been waiting for.
@@donadams5094 yeah, I suppose it’s good enough for a bedroom player, with some effect pedals or plugins. But you are correct, I am a pro player.
@@jimmcdougall9973Where is your album?
Nice product but too overpriced. With it's price I buy a Boss Katana head 100watt with way more effects and amp models paired with a Harley benton g212 v30 celestion
You can play with toy. i'll stick with my marshal
Cool
He has over 300,000 subscribers and you don’t even have a channel, his toy wins
@@tommilitello198 Marshall wins. I don't need a channel to make a point. Just look at how many popular bands use Marshall amps. I will just mention 2. Ac/DC- Angus Young, Slayer- Kerry King
Why nobody in these reviews shows the damn freeze function in reverb
