This came in as a blessing. I was just looking for gear to practice at home and gig yesterday because if God allows it I’ll be the first guitarist for my small church. I’m still learning but I already got the green light from my Pastor and I’m very excited.
Amazing to hear. I'm still trying to get into the band at the church I go to. Maybe some of the pedals shown will get me a much better sound than I have currently
The Drop pedal is amazing. I like to play along with live albums and they are often in E flat, so it's way easier to have fun. Saves you a heap of time. Plus you run into songs that are a full step down and I used to just not bother learning them haha.
I really want to get the drop pedal now. Means I don't need to spend money on new guitars to have them in different tunings. Just kidding, I'm skill going to get more guitars even after I get the pedal.
For the mini wah I ended up doing differently than Dagan. I usually turn off the wah and play with my toes. It works best for me. So both are valid options I guess.
Metal Zone is my distortion pedal too! Two H9’s, whammy pedal, vox wah, switchable cry baby wah and a noise gate. If I want more effects I’m running through twin Peavey Vypyr’s !!
The MXR Distortion + has always needed the volume to be dimed out to be at unity. A DOD 250 is a very similar circuit that doesn't have the MXRs volume defect.
i’ve recently built my own board and i just thought it would be worth dropping in the comments for the people looking to do a more wacky/untraditional build. I’ve started with the BOSS BCB-60 pedal bored just to make my gig rig easier/faster to set up. Then on the board i’ve used a cry baby, poly tuner, and a digi tech whammy ricochet and freqout (freqout is highly recommended, it’s a feedback generator so u can get feed back without molesting everyone’s eardrums). Now for the more ‘wacky’ element; I’ve bought the EHX chill-switch so I can run an effects loop momentarily. The only thing in that effects loop is an EHX canyon delay pedal set to ‘sample/hold’. This lets me activate a glitching effect based off the previous note i’ve played. I’ve also included a boss single foot switch to use as a tap tempo as i prefer how it feels on the foot. Really pleased with the board, just thought that leaving this comment would be a good way to share what I have done :)
My go-to pedal combo is the Blues Driver linked to Cock Fight Plus Wah. Simple. Sweet. ALSO: Full disclosure - depending at what I'm doing, I do have the EHX Triangle Muff and EHX Hot Wax. You know, just in case.
You didn't say anything about the power supply you used. That's an added cost, too, especially when using that tuner and mini pedals that take no battery.
Not semi tones but steps. Half step/whole steps. Hotone Harmony allows go up and down with the option to tune down with actual semi tones. Like quarter steps.
No and no and no, MXR Dist plus is not the same thing as DOD 250 which is way better (and which is why Yngwie uses it). Had you observed Josh Scott's series you would have known that DOD 250 came first, a year before MXR (1974). And that Kramer you're sporting is just plain crap.
Captain lee meets dagan
I like Dagan alot. He is a very skilled guitarist yet humble. I can feel the genuine love of guitar in him. 👍🎸♥️
Love how the boots match the guitar!

So metalzone then?
@@JoelCaseyJonesMusic That and a wah pedal
Rock on my religious brother
Amazing to hear. I'm still trying to get into the band at the church I go to. Maybe some of the pedals shown will get me a much better sound than I have currently
I’m a big fan of this channel, especially Dagan. He’s cool and humble. You wouldn’t think so with his chops. He’s great.

Mint!
Someone do a 'Dagan says Mint' compilation.
Similar to the Fast Show's Jazz "nice"
My next purchase will be The Drop of Digitech.
That’s a pointy boot
It's how you get the tone to poke through
Good job on shoe horning that joke in...wheeeey.
We call em roach killers
It is incredible the way this guy loves play the guitar, thanks for your videos Dagan, regards from Lima Peru.
Blues driver is great, but for blues I mostly choose ts9 tube screamer or superdrive1. Strat in 4th position is best for these pedals for some reason.
lmao that’s john mayer’s favourite setup but ig he prefers the 808
@@devvkhemani3628 John Mayer is one of my fave Devv, no wonder I lean towards that tone!!
I have a blues driver and a TS9 and I have to say the TS9 is my favourite. The blues driver is great, but the TS9 is better IMHO. And yes, position 4
This guys awesome. Even his 'blues' solos are still metal. Lol. ;)
more like rock I guess
I mean, most metal solos are just faster blues solos.
This seemed like 3 metal boards to me. Suits me fine
@@thomaschilds8781 haha
@@RJW14 that's pentatonic scale. Yeah many blues and metal licks are based on this scale.
that drop tune pedal is soo cool! i didn't know that existed
The drop pedal is well worth the price.
That is the coolest looking Kramer i've ever seen!!

Very nice video! Excellent energy and playing as well, you are a true entertainer
This has bin Dagan... Always amusing and entertaining! 🤟
1:48 “...hell yeah! Guitarists love something like that!...” yeah! Sure I do!
Thanks, I really love wahs, they sound great.
You'll love this then! ruclips.net/video/mOj6sC3ZyF0/видео.html
Yes mini wah for the win
The low harmonies on the whammy pedal are awesome for mean metal
It's about your soul, not your gear. But even some decent gear as displayed can sound wild.
Look at dagan just messing around sounding dope.
Dime the Metal Zone brother.
No snake has been harmed in the making of these boots.
I would swap out the blues driver for a tube screamer on the blues board but either way I think they both sound great. 👍
Metal Zone is my distortion pedal too! Two H9’s, whammy pedal, vox wah, switchable cry baby wah and a noise gate. If I want more effects I’m running through twin Peavey Vypyr’s !!
5th below sounds great for rhythms
He's like the Jack Sparrow of Rock
Jack Sparrow was inspired by Keith Richards
The MXR Distortion + has always needed the volume to be dimed out to be at unity. A DOD 250 is a very similar circuit that doesn't have the MXRs volume defect.
I also use Jazz 3 and ultex picks and some blue one with a thumb grip.

love the videos btw
Great idea, loved the video!
Glad you liked it!!
Wah helps really bring out pinch harmonics and squealies
Boss ds1 can work for heavy metal stuff too if you're not a fan of the MT2
That effing blues pedal b setup is dope. Im a beginner. Might try that
Is there a video in your Kramer Custom? Awesome guitar
Always great videos
Great advice on pedals Russell err sorry dagan👍
Love this video!
Keep doing. Cheers
Which picks are this, Dagan?
The Drop is the BEST
My go-to pedal combo is the Blues Driver linked to Cock Fight Plus Wah. Simple. Sweet.

Dude love the boots. Could you please find some that are larger? Your content is fun keep it up!
For your all round board you def need a nice chorus
The metal zone into the fx return was better than in front of the amp imho.
The crazy thing about this comment section is that there is controversy about the Blues Driver but not about something as infamous as the Metal Zone
Metal zone is the most essential stomp box.
Those peavey amps a so earpiercing turbo treble..
Love you dagen
Hate peavey amps.
Fullbore metal from MXR is a good one. I never tried the yellow MXR distortion, but the MXR Badass one is not that great more metal.
Those boots will give you hammer toes.
You didn't say anything about the power supply you used. That's an added cost, too, especially when using that tuner and mini pedals that take no battery.
Great video!!
Judy for 500 yea no pedals are like crack once you get your first hit you keep coming back for more and more and more.
Is that your 87 Pacer ughh I kinda want one now.. but its gotta be a Kramer pre 90's before gibson nic'd em
you look a like 80s KIP WINGER in a good way
Hi Dagan a question where does the eq pedal go in the chain ?
Is it just me or does 9:43 sound kind of like beautifully depressed by down?
My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to rock!
i'm not a big fan of Boss pedals except for stuff the at RC500 or Tu-3. The Metal Zone has to be my least liked distortion out there.
Is that just tape for the picks or some other product?
Yeah, just duct tape folded over. 👍
Metal zone is capable of any sound you want
It sounds better when it’s in stereo!!
For metal overdrive we're all set, but what about a clean effect?
Where are the twin H9’s ??!!
what guitar he got
oh god look at that guitar
those shoes mate holy heck lol
My favourite thing to do is boost my distortion with my overdrive by having overdrive on half volume and distortion on 1/4 volume
I wanna know the pickup he is using!??? Help
Dagan fucking shreds and yes these are fantastic pedal lineups! Also love tape delay!
Naughty Dagan making mistakes talking about tuning. Smacked bum! 😂
What's going on there with the pics? are they velcroed on? 'cause that's brilliant.
Double sided tape. It's a very 80s thing to do.
that Kramer is rather fetching. Looks like its made out of a butchers block but thats cool in its own way :)
Hey Dagan why the video don´t have legends?
Goddamn I love that guitar!!
What that annoying fuzzy buzzing ?
I always figured he wore Vans or old school airwalks🤷♂️
£60 multi effects can do the same job saving a shit load of dosh
Metal Core > Metal Zone
Will that drop pedal also work with a ukelele?
We need to try that!!!
Wow. What´s that Kramer?
It's Dagan's ol' 1987 Kramer Pacer Custom II 🤘
What guitar is that I need one
bit late, but it's a 1987 kramer pacer custom II, hope it helps
Video is nice but that shoe though!!!!!!!!!
I wish fuzz pedals would be made illegal worldwide. Man those things ruin everything lol.
I hope Dagan got rid of those boots.
I need that guitar.. what model is that?
little late, but I hope it reaches you, it's a 1987 kramer pacer custom II
Not semi tones but steps. Half step/whole steps. Hotone Harmony allows go up and down with the option to tune down with actual semi tones. Like quarter steps.
The saddest shoes🌵
"keyboard warriors" lol
that loop is horribly out of time lol
Metal zone.. nah wtf

Lol you have a board with 4 pedals on it...why bother?
