    In the US, found a store that was doing an amazing sale so I figured I had little to lose. Enjoyed your demo on the Amped3 as well... I wish they made this thing as a 2 channel amp but for the dough, it is an amazing piece of gear. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Your advice to start with the USA channel using the drive for lead is perfect. Always appreciate your wisdom and playing!

    I bought my first Charvel, and a my Yamaha THRiii because of Cameron's videos. And I LOVE them! Although this Blackstar appears to have what I'm looking for (power w/ choices, and speaker out [Yamaha's big fail]), I'm not sold on the tone.
    Cooper, dial in the Blackstar tone like your normal Yamaha sound, make a video, and make another sale!
    Peace everyone.

    I have one and it is a badass compact all in one rig no doubt, but the only thing that really sucks about it is 1, it's a single channel amp, 2, it's only mono not stereo and 3, the 2 footswitches you need to push simultaneously to activate the tuner are too far apart for a single foot stomp. Other than that the drive tones and effects sound amazing, and has more than enough power to make a 412 speaker cab roar!

    Cameron great video as always..one question....one click from 80"s hi gain to clean sound is it possible....i am watching with drive turned off, and amplifier gain set over 12"o clock it has pretty good gained sound, but in that case is not possible to get clean sound or am i wrong...is it possiblle from clean one click on drive button get hi gain 80s sound or the amplifier section should be in hi gain mode for that kind of sound...thnx

    • @CameronCooper
      @CameronCooper  Год назад +1

      If you watched this video to the end I recommend a setting so you can operate the AMPED 2 as a 2 channel amp by using the US voicing alone as a clean channel then turn on the drive to suit you needs. If you needed to, you could always hook up a distortion pedal to the 9V out and use that as your 80s drive sound.

    How is the headphone out?
    Do the impulses come through very well with headphones… I have some other units that are great in every other way but the headphone out is always terrible even with high end phones… I practice in the middle of the night outside and must be completely silent… A rig that would do that and sound good through phones would be treasured…

    For me, I would like to have seen how you hooked up the special effects board with your amplifier. In other words, from the guitar to which Jack on the effects board and from there to where on the amplifier. Also I would like to know do the knobs on your amplifier head change the overall tone? if so, what are your knob settings on the amplifier?Or does the special effects board bypass the amplifier head settings?

    • @CameronCooper
      @CameronCooper  Год назад +1

      I say where my guitar's plugged in during the video. I recorded the audio directly and not into an amp so nothing to think about there.. and since it has built in FX I wasn't going to hook up the AMPED 2 to a pedal board since the whole of the device is to be an all in one solution.

      @@CameronCooper So once you plugged your guitar into the Blackstar, from there where and how does it get to your computer? Is there some kind of interface device between the Blackstar and the computer? How are you getting to hear what you are playing if your not going through your cabinet that is sitting underneath your EVH head? I would love to see a video showing how you go from the Blackstar to your computer, or how one would or could use the EVH head and cabinet and then go to the computer to record your music.

    • @CameronCooper
      @CameronCooper  Год назад

      I'm going direct through my THR30II amp which is set to a flat signal (doesn't change the tone of the AMPED 2 in any way) and that is connected to my computer via USB. If I wanted to connect to a cabinet, I would simply plug a guitar lead into the back of the cab at 16ohms and then plug the other end into the 16ohm input on the AMPED 2. EVH head not needed. All sound comes from the AMPED 2. FX and all
