Again, only reason I'm looking at the 5T is the storage. Apps and updates keep getting bigger and bigger and I wonder if I'd struggle a few months down the line
i'm a small phone chaser : it's time to change my 5 years old nokia pureview 808, witch i'm still happy but if don't have my ipad , going on internet is just pain on ass ( also i'm still on 3.5G if i use the modem of my nokia ) well the only concern is in zoom condition i will loose detail on that sony, but the low light performance seems pretty well. Come from symbian ( before lg own os ) i think android matches good, also good compatibilty i guess with my google drives and youtube. i will keep my ipad tho.
Thanks for the review. I will be picking up mine tomorrow. TBH considering the price difference between the compact and the xz1 you can easily pick up a 64gb micro SD to fill that gap without touching the price of the xz1, come closer to the xz1 price range and you can have 200gb+ micro sd.
This phone is so awesome to hold. Weight is zero compared to other heavy devices. Also it doesnt fill up your pocket. With that being said, of course there are better phones on the market for the same price. But they are huge. Why do the cheapest phones always have a 5,5 inch display? Cause they're easier to build.

Overheating is the problem of snapdragon 810 SoC, not Sony fault. They did manage to make the Z5 line useable even with that shitty chip. Must say they are very good huh?

I had a Z3 and it was the best phone I've ever had. If the camera on this is anything like the one on my Z3, it was easily the best low light camera I've ever used also.
I phones came with 32gb till last yr whats the problem with this one? Plus Android lets you integrate your sd card into the system so ya storage is never a problem
if i am not mistaken, get a CLASS 10 SD card and it is as fast as the internal storage. well if not as fast then its the closest. just get a CLASS 10. its expensive though

MyhcA Just got a Nokia 5 which has bigger screen and it is still 720p.. there is no way you can notice a resolution difference.. What you do notice is performance boost on the go as videos arent trying to pull FHD from the the servers of an already congested network.

Why doesn't anyone mention the cumbersome gallery? It's very unintuitive, with the default screen always changing from what you left it on last (chronological vs albums), random "highlighted" photos cycling at the top of the screen, and the worst thing: it takes like 9 steps to crop a photo. There's no crop in the gallery so you have to launch an editor each time, and you can't set a default, so you have to select your editing app every time you want to crop one simple photo for social media. Third party galleries are much better but Sony forces cropped photos into a separate album on ALL third party galleries. You have to exit the current album to search for the photo you just cropped/edited. And there's no way to make any third party gallery default, anyway. You will always be brought to Sony's half-assed one if you go from the camera app.
That depends - Are you already invested in iOS or Android? Have you bought a lot of apps on any of them? If you're already financially invested in iOS, there's no point switching to Android and vice versa. For what it's worth, I think the i8 camera is slightly better, but I'm not sure.

GAURANG MHATRE Phones right now aren't offering Oreo because it's barely out and almost all phones didn't launch late enough to ship with it. The OP5 just about does this other than that, though. I'm also still using an N5 that did that for $350 four years ago. This phone also has lots of bloatware, a tired design (I happen to like it, but it's still old as fuck), plastic construction, no wireless charging, a disabled fingerprint reader in the US, and a 720p LCD display. It's a great phone, don't get me wrong, but these sacrifices are why it seems too expensive at $600. The only reason I wouldn't be tempted to get the Pixel 2 instead is the lack of a headphone jack.
