  • Whether you’re a brand-new white belt or a highly experienced black belt, these 16 warm up drills will
    improve your BJJ game.
Although I don’t expect you to perform all of these daily, I do recommend choosing 6-8 of these drills
and creating different warm up routines to follow.
Not only are these a great way to warm up and get the blood flowing, but these specific drills will
    improve your jiu-jitsu as well.

Love these warmups. I’m a new white belt so I get to improve when I’m not at class. They’ve made me a lot more familiar with my hips which really helped me this past week when rolling.

Thank you sir. These are great. I'm a brand new white belt and have not been taught any type of mobility movements like this. Question: What movements would you suggest to do during a rib injury, when I can't train? I injured my ribs the second time ever rolling and I'm out for a bit. That very last one you did, side shuffling on my back hurts quite a bit. Also, any exercises to do to prevent further rib injury when rolling? Thanks!

I do a lot of hip escapes, forward & backwards and wrestling shots to warm up. Also, yoga flow to loosen up. But, I will start incorporating some of these.

I just wanted to say thank you I just started I'm training a brand new to it and I almost quit because I feel very awkward cuz a lot of the movements don't feel natural to me because I'm not used to doing them so I feel stupid and training but so I really appreciate this thank you I think if I did this I would feel less stupid in class

Maestro, obrigado por compartilhar tão boa routina, techniques or disciplina!! 🙋🏾‍♂️

Those drills are awesome. How about do a video where you actually do it with full rep for each, not only explaining. It would help to follow them better while doing the whole warmups, I think. Thanks.

We did the initial hip rotations he does in my bjj class, and it kinda hurts the inner part of my knees, I’m hoping by practicing I can develop the flexibility to where it doesn’t hurt

I can’t even do sideway switch stand up because of feeling of discomfort soreness in my knees. I can do it only with hand support on the ground. I am 27 and have done boxing for a time. However, I am very inflexible on joints and tendons. Can I do jiu jitsu? How can I improve it?
