I also add a small amount of better than bouillon with the water for a bit more flavour and it’s only around 5 calories when you add in such a small amount and no need for extra salt either
Build habits is a good idea. I think l am doing that. Oats and fruit every morning. A salad and starch every lunch time. I will get back to having a micro wave potato in the afternoon. Great tips thank you
I followed you for past couple years and adapted your principles. I use many of your recipes and started walking. I lost 30 lbs and kept it off. It took 4 months but each week I added more exercise as I began to feel better. Now I juice too! Thank you❤
I absolutely love microwaved potatoes too! Pile steamed veggies and beans on top, and for a sauce, i mix (1:1) hummus with whatever flavor I want, for example, a half cup of salsa and half cup of hummus. Or a half cup curry sauce and half cup hummus. These make amazing sauces, and then i dont need margarine or other high calorie flavorings. And sometimes, a potato just out of the microwave is very satisfying!
Get yourself a non stick pan 4 no oil cooking. 😊 u dont need water either! U can microwave broccoli for a few minutes with plastic wrap too. If you're in a hurry. Hi Chelsea 😊
Veggie box for the win and swapping more calorie dense baked oatmeal clusters with chocolate chips for nice cream. Over five years in and feeling the need to refocus and clean things up a bit. Always attainable and approachable Chels. Appreciate you tons.
I don't know why I just saw this video now. Because I've subscribed to you for at least 6 months and I get a notification when the new videos pop up, anywho, this is one of your best videos yet! Such great tips and the best part is they're all easily achievable. Thank you so much for your continued advice. It really helps!😊😊😊
You can saute in broth too vegetable broth, chicken broth, beef broth, just get the low sodium. If you care about salt intake. Love your videos. Not even a vegan but great principles!
Love the helpful tips! I didn’t realize how many calories I have been consuming with roasting my veggies in oil! Anyway I was wondering what kind of dips do you make for your veggies and potatoes?! 🙏 I love dip!!!
I don't know HOW you ended up on my timeline, as I searched for clearly something else...😂😂😂 But I'm GLAD you did!!! God knew Best for me. I truly need to lose weight! Thank you for these realistic tips.
Love your channel girl, all you say seems so feasible and logical. I'm a mom with young kids and its easy to get into their pasta/fries/salty fried everything routine, but I really try and implement this for myself. Also the Atomic Habits make me think of a book I read about Kaizen that said basically the same thing: start small and realistically and increase a bit daily. And I do think thats key, to allow yourself to make the changes gradually, so they'll stick. Thanks so much for sharing all this with us. You are an inspiration.
Finally, some actually helpful, sensible weight loss tips! My TDEE is pretty low (short, office job) and I was running out of ways to reduce my calories without feeling hungry. Will definitely try these ideas.
Incredibly wise and sound advice! I'll be shopping for an air dryer asap. Love the idea of 2 minute bare minimum. I will adopt the veggie box idea. The taking away rather than adding more idea really resonated with me. I've been doing a minimum of exercise, so it's good to know I'm on the right track. Overall, I'm super inspired!
My 2 hacks: stop using oil! totally agree, most recipes do just fine without them AND I do intermittent fasting (from after dinner until lunch next day) 3 or 4 times weekly. If I wake up hungry I eat, if I know lunch will be very late, I eat. Pretty relaxed about it. I just went for a checkup, and had lost 15 lbs in the past year without much effort.
Chelsea, thank you so much for demonstrating practical applications of each concept. While I already knew each concept, I get stuck with “how to” implement it, if that makes sense. It’s currently late in the evening here so first thing in the morning I’m pulling out a covered storage box, fill it with veggies. Them I’m going back to water sautéing, and getting myself to the health club, and cook the 2 sweet potatoes sitting in a veg bowl on my counter instead of walking past them. Question if you have time: your thoughts on the common advice to avoid white potatoes because of higher carbs than sweet potatoes. P.S. You look stunning with your new hair style!
You got this! Love the plan. And eat the white potatoes. They’re low in calories, super filling and AMAZING for weight loss. I have eaten a ton of them throughout my journey
The teaser at the end was great. I put Melinda's hot sauce on everything and that helps- my favs are their Scorpion, Chipotle, Scotch Bonnet ( all 3 amazing on pizza), and the Habanero or Ghost pepper wing sauces. The wing sauces are perfect for tofu veggie scrambles. Chickpeas salad made with just Dijon, sauerkraut, and a load of finely chopped celery is so good on the wasa sourdough crisp bread and lil hot sauce and Cucumber slices.
I always get stuck on this veggie vs. oil calories per pound, because no one is eating 1lb of olive oil in one sitting. So, for reference: 1lb of olive oil = 4,000 calories 1lb fresh green olives = 300 calories There ya go, calorie density 🤷😁
I'll definitely start with the veggie box. I do eat a lot of vegetables in a day, but I have no idea how much. I loved the potato idea and using the air fryer to crisp them up after microwaving! I went from vegetarian to vegan with the New Year and lost 3 pounds last month, but have stalled out. My target is to lose 10 more, so it's not a lot, but ever so difficult! Thanks so much for your insight and encouragement!
I got a microwave and I do potatoes already, we just bought a air fryer a week ago we got the giant one it’s wonderful has a tray, I’m gonna try your recipe for banana and ice cream which I’ve had in the past, but looks good, and definitely going to start the daily veg box for my husband and myselfwe prep our veggies and put them in bags all different kinds of containers and carry them with us but I think the veg box is a great idea
I'm going to have to try the veg box. Unless I prepare stuff ahead of time I am too lazy to chop things up when I need it at the moment. Hopefully this will help me up my intake of veggies:) Thanks for the ideas!
You’re so inspiring! I want to get to the place where workouts are fun too. I’m starting a habit of doing a set of squats, wall push ups, and dips then a 30 second plank first thing in the morning. A delicious cup of coffee is my reward, but I plan to start prepping a veggie box. What type of dip do you use?
Can you make a video about how long it takes for the weight to come off on this eating lifestyle? I only have 5 pounds left to lose and I feel like it is taking forever and my body is having a difficult time releasing the weight. Or maybe a video about the last 5 pounds?
Can I ask why you don't put broccoli in a bowl with some water and microwave it? I've been getting frozen broccoli put 1/4 cup water and microwave for 6 minutes rather than using a pan.
Veggie box and to microwave potato... both habits i am going to do now thank u ❤

I have tried every diet to lose weight. I used to eat anything when I was young and I was always slim. It is hard now that I have hit menopause. The only thing that works is calorie deficit and the older I get the lower the calories. I have started eating the way you have shown me and I have finally seen results. The moment I deviate, the weight starts creeping up again.
You've literally changed my life with your videos and podcasts. Thank you Chels. Today's win.. no vegan ice-cream but I have bananas in the freezers for later :) Also, I found a microwave steamer like yours, which I've been looking for for months. Yay. Thanks from South Africa :)
I love using either nuts/seeds (like sunflower seeds) or tahini in sauces for veg... Anyone know if these are unhealthy due to the oils in them or are they not too bad?
Wow! I really LOVED this video! So many great tips. I have a question. I’ve been putting walnuts on my nice cream. I know that’s calorie dense. Can you recommend some better choices that would be more weight loss friendly?
Well nuts are healthy and cashews andd peanuts would be most caloriedense but how often you have ( N) ice cream? Pick berries or maybe kiwi or plum depending on which moment of the day you have this >> too much fiber will have you digesting longer...I know diabetes patients are told to avoid cherries/ bananas/ oranges and to prefer berries...
I wish I could eat that but my lack of teeth prevents me from eating raw veggies..what kind of dip do u use? I like hummus but it has a lot of oil in it
Such great ideas!!!
1) daily veg box 1.06
2) stop cooking with oil, 2.25
3) microwave potatoes, 4.53
4) get an air fryer 6.03
5) banana, Nice cream 7.04
6)Set minimum Targets 8.28
Your hair looks SO FANTASTIC!!!
I was just thinking the same thing. 😍
Really suits her and her personality 🎉
I bet all the hair comments come from women. Looks like preparation for granny look to me.
You're the most realistic weight-loss guide on RUclips. I found your suggestions very helpful. Thank you for inspiring. 🙏
Right??? I send her videos to all my friends who are just starting to try eating healthier/ losing weight.
I've heard the 2 minute hack before but it's like I needed to hear it one more time to get it to sink in 😅 2 minutes is so achievable
I also add a small amount of better than bouillon with the water for a bit more flavour and it’s only around 5 calories when you add in such a small amount and no need for extra salt either
That veggie box is genius! I'm going to start doing that
Build habits is a good idea. I think l am doing that. Oats and fruit every morning. A salad and starch every lunch time. I will get back to having a micro wave potato in the afternoon. Great tips thank you

I've been vegan for a loooong time but wow, these tips are certainly inspiring me to get OUT OF THIS RUT!! I now have a plan, thank you 🙏

The veg box alone is a great tip. I am going to start that today.
You can saute in broth too vegetable broth, chicken broth, beef broth, just get the low sodium. If you care about salt intake. Love your videos. Not even a vegan but great principles!
The North American equivalent of "fan forced" is a convection oven. Air fryers are just mini convection ovens:)
Love the helpful tips! I didn’t realize how many calories I have been consuming with roasting my veggies in oil! Anyway I was wondering what kind of dips do you make for your veggies and potatoes?! 🙏 I love dip!!!

Love this video Chelsea! Great job with the weekly uploads as well! ❤
You look amazing with your new haircut! ✨
Thanks for making these amazing videos. You helped me so much!
Lost 25kg yet
Your hair looks amazing. Love the video very helpful for me. Like the box of veg for the fridge idea. Watching from Toronto
I will commit to making potatoes in the microwave or air fryer daily. Thanks, Chelsea! Your hair looks great!
Fantastic video !! A daily veg box yessss !!! Thanks so much for
Another great video. Thanks Chelsea.
The crunch on that potato! yeeesss, girl! 🙌🏼 Thanks for the video, Chels! 💕
Wow you are strong… seeing your pull-ups made me a believer!

So Happy about every new video🎉
I love the way you explain. Gives me a boost. Great tips thank you so much😊
This was very insightful, I've never thought to do a vege box to ensure I'm meeting vege goals. Thank you.

Great vegan tips, thank you !!
I was going to say the same thing. Your hair is so sassy cute! ❤

Love this approach! Way to go sticking to your video goal! Keep them coming, so helpful🎉
Ok. I'm a potato chip junkie. I love crunchy salty snacks. I'm going to try the potatoes ripped in the airfryer!!!
Great video Chelsea, such useful and practical tips and I love your haircut, it sure suits you 🥰🥰
Valuable tips for sure. I just started plant based to lose some weight and u helped a lot. Thousand thanks ❤😊

Wow impressive pull-ups! You look great! Thanks for the tips. I’m going to try prepping the veggie box. I struggle with getting my vegetables in. Thx!

I love these tips❤ Two minutes hack is brilliant. Thank you 🙏
This is wonderful advise.
Great Advice! Thanks.
I'm going to have to try the veg box. Unless I prepare stuff ahead of time I am too lazy to chop things up when I need it at the moment. Hopefully this will help me up my intake of veggies:) Thanks for the ideas!
The daily veggie box is a winner! 🫒🫐🍒
Very helpful! Thank you! Will be adding the “go to the gym” hack!
I do veggies, but not on the regular, so I'm aiming for that this week❤
Thank you!!
You’re so inspiring! I want to get to the place where workouts are fun too. I’m starting a habit of doing a set of squats, wall push ups, and dips then a 30 second plank first thing in the morning. Really love your video's! Can really see all the work your doing in the gym.
Your arms look great!! 🐱
New subscriber. Hair is darling - and I love your ink!
Chelsie,please, light healthy breakfast ideas!!!
Can you make a video about how long it takes for the weight to come off on this eating lifestyle? I only have 5 pounds left to lose and I feel like it is taking forever and my body is having a difficult time releasing the weight. Or maybe a video about the last 5 pounds?
Im usually 50-55 kg (170 cm tall, and look my best at around that weight).. im probably 85 kg now 10 months later. Thank you dear
Ill try ur tips ❤
Fantastic video ❤
Can I ask why you don't put broccoli in a bowl with some water and microwave it? I've been getting frozen broccoli put 1/4 cup water and microwave for 6 minutes rather than using a pan.
I am a new subscriber…
Amazing video and tips!
Thank you so much. 🎉🤗⭐️

I had no idea about how bad the oil was
I subscribed. Just looking for vegan weight loss tips
I subscribe to everything: well done on the videos, the stamina. BTW, you are gorgeous! :)
im embarrassed to say ive never microwaved a potato - going to start doing it!!
I’m so glad your “tiny bit of Nutella” is the same as my “tiny bit” 😂
So where so you get enough Omega-3 fats from? (And im not talking about the small amount of fats that comes from walnuts)
Flax seeds everyday.
@@ChelseaMaeso you get enough ALA, but what about EPA and DHA?
What was the green stuff in the blender food processor?
It look like Pea hummus
I wish I could eat that but my lack of teeth prevents me from eating raw veggies..what kind of dip do u use? I like hummus but it has a lot of oil in it
Excellent
💚☮️
Uou can wrap the potato in a humid paper towel and they get cooked faster and dont get mushy
In US, fan forced is called convection roasting.🙂
Daily veg box is a great idea but it's so expensive in the UK now :(
O wauw you look so beautyfull with this haircut ❤
Is it eat Whole Foods and get outside at least 20 minutes a day?
