I absolutely loathe superstitions that label certain animals as omens of bad luck or death. Aye-ayes may not be pleasant to the eye as red pandas, but there is no excuse for people to commit genocide to these creatures. I simply do not want aye-ayes to suffer the same fate as the Zanzibar Leopard. If it happened once, it happened too many times.
Also, don't let red pandas or maned wolves go extinct either.

I went to chidiyapur forest range a week ago. Last time(5 yrs ago) I saw a group of spotted deers and some Asian elephants and some langur primates but this time I saw no animal.Deforestation is done on a large scale to create a highway. A 6-lane road is created there. This time I didn't see any animal. The numbers of animals especially Apex predators like royal Bengal tiger, sloth bear, Asiatic black bear etc are decreasing due to habitat loss. It is such a shame that we are destroying our own planet.

The issue of threatened and endangered species deserves to be catapulted into public consciousness the way that climate change has been, most probably even more so. When we lose species - and certainly entire habitats - we lose ecosystem services that benefit us humans, such as flood control, pollination, and pandemic prevention.

Speaking of red pandas. Have you seen the movie turning red? It's about this girl who turns into a red panda. And it's a generational thing for girls. In the movie, And it talks about the Red Panda and where they live. And their fiery red coat. But when red pandas are frightened, they stand up. And some people revere the red panda. And I had three hard plastic red pandas. That looks so realistic. There's not even funny. When I get mad. Sometimes I say. I'm going to panda. That's a metaphor. Like my face turns red. When I get real mad. But Red pandas are very cute. And turning red showed. What red pandas are? I would highly recommend Watching turning red.

@@tryllon4774 ...ur joking right? Whales, big eye tuna, wolves, so so so many species of shark, and bees. Not to mention that even without actually making any animal go extinct, fishing and hunting can cause an ecosystem collapse. Take for example, some idiots bought and released lionfish in Florida, not they have no predators, and they're destroying Florida reefs. Then the animals that can actually eat them, like barracuda and sharks, are turned into game fish and hunted to death in that area. No one went extinct in that scenario, but a whole reef system was destroyed, potentially destroying an entire ocean food web causing potentially hundreds of species to go extinct.
