I just want to point out the fact that Bruce Johnston, who was nearing 70 when this concert was filmed, is singing the highest harmony (the falsetto) during the coda of the song. He gets a lot of hate but him hitting those notes just shows that he still has his voice and is definitely a talented guy.

Nonsense. Brian is simply having the normal degree of unhappiness at facing ones own mortality, and the fact that his failing strength and fading voice make him a less active member of the band than he was. He is probably deeply missing his brothers.
Mike love kicked Brian wilson and al Jardine out of the group which Brian wilson started after their 50th anniversary tour...it's simply not the beach boys without Brian wilson

He can play, and does, but sometimes he takes some rest every now and then. Thing is though, since he wrote the music, he can pop in and out as he pleases and not mess it up at all. He’s done it at his concerts post 2000s as well. Case in point: Brian Wilson does what Brian Wilson wants. And he’s earned it.
I love how Mike Love treats all Beach Boys songs like a drunken Karaoke outing. Here he even adds a jaunty outfit. He sings it like a Friday night exec letting off steam who's just been handed a beer soaked microphone. And lauds over it all of the audience at the end like he invented all of this. He came over to the Wilson house as a teenager to play ping-pong and the Wilson boys asked him to sing along in the garage. Garbage human.
