Not sponsored here. For a cheap alternative to Mitutoyos, instead get Shars Aventor absolute dps calipers. Power draw is almost zero when off and you don't have to zero them. Battery life is similar to Mitutoyos, I know as I own both Mitutoyos and the Shars.
