- Ethan Must Die is very luck based, to get a good playthrough, you NEED Gunpowder, STRONG chem fluid (Both 1 star box items), and the Albert gun (4 star item box), if you don't get these, then you need to restart.
This is why this speedrun took about 2 months and about 100 attemps.

Ethan Must Die is very very challenging and the speedrunning part of it is just too stupid.
You'll die for no good reason, sometimes a molded spawns where it's not supposed to be, you'll block but still die and there's nothing you can do about it!
It's very unfair.
I played this all through christmas holidays in 2021 (i miss this time so much, i get sad looking back, best time of my life)
i put about 100 attempts and FINALLY got a speedrun that was GOOD.
I did get better than 6 minutes 34, but i was NEVER able to re-create that so i had to just record and hope i get one.
Without the albert gun and all the gunpowder and strong chem fluid, you just have to quit and try again. This was NOT enjoyable at all!
Am gonna try prioritizing Handgun+ Ammo and the Albert this time. Really great production value too! Keep up the good work and creativity

It means a lot to me, I like making unique video editing and things.
Yes, always get enhanced handgun ammo, and don't use it on any hangun apart from Albert and the next best one which is m19 handgun (I think).
Don't even pick up .44 mag, it's not that good In Ethan Must Die,
Neither is Grenade Launcher, that thing is terrible.
Play like how I play, try and copy my momvements and pretty quickly you'll understand the do's and don'ts.
Some parts are quite fun to do when you have the right weapon for it (like how you see me do the living room part.) If you didn't have albert there, you'd have to camp next to the machine gun and do something but then that's not gonna get you World Record times.
This game is so, so luck based that It's really stressful because I'll get one good speedrun every week or month and that's all.
@@loansharkjoe6687 Can you stunlock her if you just keep shooting? I really don’t want to deal with the jump attack, it seems too unpredictable, I’m afraid she’ll jump at me when I’m reloading or something
@@CodPatrol Hello! To be honest, you sort of can.
I actually beat this time and got a much better one and made a really really good fancy video of it.
To answer you, yes, she's on madhouse difficulty so her silly jump while you reload can actually happen. you just have to do the usual and keep a distance and just keep shooting, or if you're really stuck, there's a sneaky way to do the fight if you're low on ammo if you hide behind a certain turret and you'll always win. you'll have to look that one up on youtube. it's a hard game mode, but you'll nail it and let me know when you do it!
please check it out, I stun locked her (sort of) by keeping her in the same area and getting REALLY lucky that the machine gun kept shooting her and that made the boss fight really fast. it's really lucky though, if you're very fortunutate by repeating what I did, then that's really lucky, but use my strategy and get her to spawn in that particular window becuase that's a good route to make her walk into the machine gun turrent which will really help you with injruing her as much as possible!
I don't think anyone will have the energy to beat my time now!

I really wish that WR video got more views, that was a really difficult video to make. THIS one was SO easy becasue the time is really slow and gameplay was stress free.

@@loansharkjoe6687 the speedrun's great,i watched the wr one now and i was amazed by some of the tactics,like slipping through the last fat molded and the crawlers,or taking on Marge on the bottom floor,the editing was so good too. I'm so glad you came up on my recomennded page lol.

But i'll tell you, Ethan Must Die is probably my favrouite thing about Resident Evil 7, they just made it SO addictive.
But, if you want a time like mine, then you will have to sit through about 100 attempts because if you don't get gunpowder or the albert, then you'll need to reset.....
It's no wonder it took me all Christmas 2021 to get this ahahha.

I really wish that one got more views, the amount of luck/skill required for that one is so rare it was exhausting.
I enjoyed the editing (capturing the insanity of ethan must die because it can be you know) though the last bit where you killed her made me a whee bit sick.. i myself I am trying to get it done quickly ooh boy it is really hard (i have stupid deaths from horrible histories on repeat in my head at the best of times)

It wasn't really a tutorial, but yes, there are some things you can do to always make a sequence work for you!
The albert is the most important weapon in the game, sadly, it's very rare. That's why this took so many attempts.
Also, if you don't have enhanced handgun ammo, you'll struggle A LOT!

@@loansharkjoe6687 i enjoyed it as well. I never knew that you would need the albert. I always tought: take every weapon with you. But then there was no space and that was challenging. But now it was the albert, the m21 shotgun and another handgund. These "shooter" things helped a lot as well^^

handguns are weak, and regular handgun ammo will not help you that much. Enemeies are strong and the handgun ammo is just not strong enough.
Burner is very good, even the magnum isn't so good, neither is the machine gun.
You just need albert with enhanced handgun ammo if you want a fast time.

That was done on Janurary 3rd 2022, and i've NEVER got a good inventory all the way to Margeruitte ever since. It's very luck based.

I did like RE7 but i fully understand why you call it boring.
I hated the ship and the end and the story, other than that. it's a good game hahaha.
The DLC's were good though, ethan must die was very fun and i still find it addictive!
I strongly reccomend RE8, that is much better, but still the story is a bit bad.

Yes, i don't think there is ANY kind of speedrun edited the way i did in this video to be honest.
I like making the videos fun to watch and almost all the speedrunners out there do it lazy and boring and you can only enjoy it if you know all about the game.
Man I was living with my wifes(girlfriend) at the times parents house when RE7 came out. I’d play the shit out of it after work in the basement, truly some amazing times on that game. Thanks for sharing this

Yeah - this game is special to me as well. I just love the colours, the first person and i just thought it was a good game except from the ship, i hated it and the story was a bit rubbish too.

make her spawn in that window I make her spawn (copy my trick to make her spawn behind me)
Then get her out the window and walk towards the greenish area.
She will follow you and get hit by the turret machine gun AND the neck-wire shotgun trap.
That will give you a headstart on some good damage, walk back to the window again and the machine gun turrent will shoot her a few times again!!
@@loansharkjoe6687 When you say the turret, do you mean the one on the upstairs floor? Can she jump attack you in that corner area? Also how far does the jump attack go? Do you need to hide behind an object or can you just stay a certain amount of steps back and it won’t happen?

you really don't need that much ammo, but make sure to follow his steps so that you don't get hit by trip wires, play safe and block earilier than you need to.
You can get her shot by the turret a few times and then you'll only need a small amount of ammo to kill her.
You can do it man! just needs some time, but it's really do-able and let me know how it goes.

Yes, the magnum is actually weaker, BUT remember - the Albert is stronger with ENHANCED HANDGUN AMMO.
with the normal handgun ammo, it's only stronger than the other handguns by a little bit.
Yeah, it is very stressful to go for 5 minute speedrun,
I really loved this DLC, I wish they made more tracks, maybe one for the marge house, or one in the ship but the same Ethan Must Die style.
30 minutes is good enough! This is torture to speedrun.
Wtf I didnt realize you could block the trip wire bombs and survive. Do you need to perfect block them? Im not 100% sure on this assumption, but if you block attacks right before you connect you take less damage than holding block for a few seconds before an attack?

no, it's actually easier than it looks,
just sprint into the wire and as soon as you touch them just hold the bock button.
and no, you just block whenever you can it doesn't matter if you block an enemy as late as possible or as early as possible, you'll take the same damage.
Fuck, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Getting to Ms. Baker isn't a problem. The problem is surviving more than a few seconds because she instantly does that unblockable attack.

also, I'll be honest with you, if you want an EASY Margeuirtte fight, you really need that Albert with ENHANCED handgun ammo.
ANY OTHER weapon, and it will be a longer fight, and a harder fight.
so i'm sorry, but this is a very high luck based game, and it is awful. but I always reset if i don't get the Albert by the time I'm in the living room.
that unblockable attack is terrible, I know. You need to just shoot her the way I do it and keep distance.
The marge area isn't really thought well, I just sort of improvise in that area, but I always make her spawn in the same way, so it's a bit easier to stay safe and I always make sure I only go into the greenhouse with Albert with enhanced ammo. If you do that, you will be a lot safer with any other weapon, trust me.
I am still playing this, and I am hoping I record a faster time, I will make a better guide.

This is quite a good DLC and I really wish it got more attention because it's just really addictive and has that really "hard mode" type of feel to it.
@@loansharkjoe6687 Look, as I've said, the main problem wasn't getting to Ms B. The main problem was Marge Simpson doing her best impression of Spider man and surviving that. But honestly, after she fell and crumbled like the economic state of Greece, I could not stop myself from yelling around the whole house. One downside only is that she died to a turret. Which means I could not go up to her to gloat because I'd be in range... If I could, man I'd Teabag the crap out of her moist-ass spider crotch like there's no tomorrow.

the turret is on the RIGHT as soon as you open the door. they've always been there, no mods.
@@loansharkjoe6687 i rewatched it and the turrets where there. i recently played ethan must die and didn‘t know that the turrets don‘t fire while you standing between them. my bad.
i watch those kind of videos after i was able to beat such modes and always laugh about how much harder i make it myself by not knowing/finding these little tricks :D

it's not as bad as it is if you just know how to manage in the early part of the game mode.

it's a big shame that THIS video gets seen and my really amazing world record 5 minute version just doesn't and i put a lot of effort into that, youtube sucks.
I'm sure you can do it, just sort of do the speedrun tricks and you will find that you will save a lot of ammo (because you don't have to kill everything and can get around things without shooting etc)
some guns are really rubbish, magnum is one of them. although it shows up in 4 star box, it's actually not very good in ethan must die

@@loansharkjoe6687 if u have the rocket flames with the blue ammo and pistol with strong chem fluid ammo she is done in seconds i think the rocket with the blue ammo is more strong then the pistol that took down eveline
Wow, your route is suicidal, not to mention wasteful. You should be luring monsters into the traps, not just blitzing through them yourself.
