Your video popped on my recommended feed, probably because im revisiting Resident Evil 7 since its my favorite game of all time so I’ve been watching tons of content for it on youtube and your content is obviously relevant to that. I clicked because I was amazed that Ethan Must Die was being speed ran so efficiently, as I had never seen a speed run for this game mode before.

The RNG god is really on your side on this run! Thanks a lot, I used a lot of the strategy you used in this run to put it into my run. At my final run, I had 27 Strong handgun ammo but no Albert. I was thinking I can beat Margaret easily with 27 enhanced ammo right? RIGHT? However at the garden room, there is a very last 4 star box. And inside? THE ALBERT! Blasted 16 rounds of enhanced handgun ammo in her face and finally, I beat Ethan must die after nine hours and 57 tries.
yeah! But the RNG really took like 240 attempts it was disgustingly stressful and I aim to beat it again because someone beat me, and oh my god it won't be fun at all! Yep, the 4 star box can be in the greenhouse, that's awesome you got the albert hahaha! It's awesome you had that happen to you, it created your memorable first completion. Oh man, this DLC is really good, it means so much to me, even just the music or the red sky colour just reminds me of winter 2021 which was a really important time in my life and really personal to me. I used to play ethan must die a lot during that time and I really miss those days because i match it with my current life events and winter 2021 was just beautifulf for me. That's my memory of Ethan Must Die haha

It's a very important dodge and it can just fail because of his follow-up attack (even if you dodge, you'll get hit right afterwards and die) Blue rockets? not sure what you mean by that, the only blue thing i can think of are those neuro rounds for the grenade launcher, but those are pointless in ethan must die. Also, please let me know how you found my video because i'd like to know how people are finding this video. Someone put it on Reddit and I thought it was going to blow up in big views, also my channel is such a failiure that none of my videos get 1000 views anymore

I really loved editing this and making it all in time with the music and showing the subtitiles so that people understand what is going on. Yeah I always imagine that too. It's okay though, not much of a big deal because you're only supposed to get the 1 star box's where it's worth it and I got so lucky that I got the one after pool table room, sometimes nothing spawns there. so happy days.

My brother just revisted the mode for the first time in years and was surprised how easy it was after he did it on his 2nd attempt, considering some people take 50+ attempts to beat it. So we wanted to see someone make it even easier than he did, and this was the first video that caught our attention.

Some other ethan must die world records get so many views and they're slower than me. Glad your brother did that, I did the same, but in 2021 at Winter, and it was SO personal and nostalgic to me, I can't put it into words. 2nd attempt is great! Your brother probably has a very good memory and remembers the general strategies and how to get around. EMD is my favourite DLC, i wish they added more levels, maybe one in the ship or marge house and you play as Mia or someone else. Instead, they put too many "jack's 55th Birthday" stuff and to me, it wasn't a great game mode. He has a good memory and we are both RE nerds so anything RE is kind of second nature to us (besides RE3 original dodge mechanic) lol. Thanks. I also wish we had more EMD but RE7 does have a lot of extra challenge mode type stuff like doing the time challenges on End Of Zoe but they also are nowhere as fun as EMD. @@NicerNine I don't like the Statue speedruns, it's not that interesting to me and it's no fun getting the albert and killing yourself at the start so you can get the albert as soon as possible, it's a lot of stress, if you think you have a failed speedrun then you'll have to go to the start, discard everything apart from albert and then kill yourself again. No statues is the most impressive thing you can do in this game. hahaha thanks, i do wish someone would try and beat it for a while but actually no one really plays the DLCs in this game anymore

I used to be very active in Ethan Must Die back in winter 2021, honestly I miss those days A LOT because it meant a lot to me about my current life state and things, even just playing RE7 and EMD i get reminded of those times. Speedrunning this is really fun, however when you get a time like mine, you'll find it's really not fun and not good for your mental state anymore hahaha. Even just not getting flamethrower at the very beginning is a reset for me because I need to burn the fat molded who blocks the door, otherwise i will not get my world record back. And yes, youtube is disgusting now, unique really good content is just buried sometimes and i don't like social media in general, i stay away from it all, But I do like logging into my youtube to see comments like yours because I like it when people leave comments on videos that I put a lot of effort into.

I don't know if this applies to Ethan Must Die, but in the base game, her egg sac is actually a strong point, and she takes less damage if you shoot that as opposed to her head or body
from what I understand, this is the same as Madhouse difficulty, the Head is actually her weak spot, you should aim for the head. fortunately, when you enter the fight, you just have her head to aim at and when you see her again in the hole in the wall you should get her head again so you're going to be getting the max damage easily.

me too i thought it was an excellent DLC, it's a shame they just made 1 map for it. I would love it if they made 2 more maybe in the ship or the old house with different charaters like Mia and Zoe or even a Lucas one. Thanks this is the hardest speedrun in the game and I hope people apprecaite how difficult it really is. Glad to get world record though
@@Kincott go for it! theres something really addictive about it, but when you get a time like mine, then you'll need to cope with too much luck based things and enemies to hopefully not kill you as soon as you dodge them, because that happens a lot in this game. it's so frustrating. You can get an excellent attempt and make it far enough to the albert where it actually spawned after 30 times of trying, but then that's where the anxiety kicks in because after 30 attempts and failing in the kitchen, or dining room means it'll take 50 more attmpts to even get a gameplay good enough to not reset really early into the speedrun.
Many thanks for your comment! Well, maybe not best RE7 player but certainly the best at this DLC right now. IF you get Burner BEFORE the first fat molded blocking the stairs at 1:46 then you can save some time by killing the fat molded with the burner. I had that happen in my previous world record, check out that video, I was really lucky to get the burner there. I think it saves about 3 seconds. Good question, I'd probably say 5:35, I could've done a risky bit at 3:00 where I carry on going forward and block the molded and run past him. But doing that, even if you block, you can still get killed if they do that dumb glitchy follow up attack, I normally just risk everything but at that time I finally got the 4 star box and the Albert, I didn't want to risk that part. And burner helps a little bit I got to just burn the trap in the pool table to that saved me walking around maybe saved 2 seconds haha

It could perhaps be, but honestly sometimes even if i play slow, he's there. did some looking in and i think this happens on ps4 as well.... not sure why, but it's very frustrating and adds on more unnessesary stress. @@loansharkjoe6687 yeah and another crazy fact when not doing s speedrun than u have like so many more boxes/chances for good things that its acctually really easy this mode but with speedrun where u dont get many boxes and with speedrun only 1 4starbox spawn location can happen
@@monkey75499 yeah, to beat my time you must ignore certain boxes. There's also places that almost always get you into danger health if you go for a box you will just get attacked from behind. For example the one at 1:19 even if you turn around as fast as you can it's very often that you'll just get hit.

You were right, I got even more impressed. This run should have more views than the other ones. I know it's a bit sad to do a exhausting video and it doesn't get as many views as they deserved, but that video I saw and said that was the best run I've seen that far was recommended by RUclips for me (this is probably one of the means that video is more viewed). But yes, I got even more impressed with this run and the other run you told me to see. This is amazing. I don't think it'll be beaten (not in our lifetime at least XD) either.

Yes, videos like this which are SO RARE and unique and just different from the rest are the ones that deserve to blow up in views. Yeah, as far as my channel goes, my videos don't get shown to people anymore, there were times where a video would stay on 300 views for 2.5 months and then all of a sudden that video would get 300,000 views a day. (that video is "my obvious fake speedrun that got verified") yeah and about the lifetime thing haha i think it's right, don't think anyone is going to beat me in resident evil 7, this was so exhausting in a number of ways. SO many times I'd reach to the greenhouse and not have enough ammo, but still had the Albert. And even for that to happen, many many attempts and luck is needed all the glitched molded follow up attacks that people do not really know about... Hope you liked the music and my editing style I always like making things in time with the song and really make my videos different.

do you have the problem in the room with the fat molded and the normal molded right at the start sometimes a second normal molded spawns?? either in the room or behind the fat molded behind the door??? CUZ THAT ALWAYS HAPPENS TO ME AND IDK HOW TO DEAL WITH IT😭
i thought it was because forcing the normal molded to hit u right before walking down the stairs would cause it to move to the side and fall through the floor?? but it definetly isnt that i checked??😭 it just happens sometimes to me and its so frustrating
@@capteye6774 Hello! I'm so glad you brought this up, in 2021-2023 I was the only person who played this game mode as a speedrun, alongside like 1 or 2 people. YES, sometimes there will be an extra molded that is JUST THERE when you reach this place. It's very annoying. When that happens I just restart, but SOMETIMES he will be there, but unable to hurt you. Glad you brought this up, you're the first person EVER to mention it in my youtube comments, how did you find my video? I really want to know because my channel is really bad now and my videos don't get big views anymore even though this is the most unique re7 speedrun when it came out and very rare gameplay. Personally I think it deserves way more views than some of the other re7 videos that aren't that impressive.

Yes my video is very unique, I like putting text commentary in this so people know how to speedrun it and what tactics you do. and all of the music and edits too. for me, getting the albert is so rare, as you can understand in the intro, and I find it very stressful to lower my time because everything has to be super lucky and perfect. Yes, i had lots of fun making my other 6 minute video as well. It's a pitty my slowest EMD speedrun got the most views, and this one doesn't get shownt to people on yotuube despite being one of the most unique and impressive RE7 speedrun ever
it looks simple but theres some things to know, I close the door a a certain time, i use his feet as a cue, after his first step, wait a bit then close the door. The door will shove him closer to you (skipping you waiting for him to walk slowly to you) Then he can either just attack you, to which you block and run past him, or the best outcome is how I do it in the video. There's also other ways to get passed him. Now there's a ps5, this trick actually won't work as well on the ps5 for some reason, I believe it's because of the frame rate differenes, I play on pc and i play on 120 fps, it's harder to do this trick on ps5.
The "Hello Zepp" music makes this feel like a Jigsaw trap, maybe one designed by Amanda where your supposed to die, (Ethan must die lmao) But Ethan is just running through it like a power goblin on speed

My brother just revisted the mode for the first time in years and was surprised how easy it was after he did it on his 2nd attempt, considering some people take 50+ attempts to beat it. So we wanted to see someone make it even easier than he did, and this was the first video that caught our attention.

Some other ethan must die world records get so many views and they're slower than me.
Glad your brother did that, I did the same, but in 2021 at Winter, and it was SO personal and nostalgic to me, I can't put it into words.
2nd attempt is great! Your brother probably has a very good memory and remembers the general strategies and how to get around.
EMD is my favourite DLC, i wish they added more levels, maybe one in the ship or marge house and you play as Mia or someone else.
Instead, they put too many "jack's 55th Birthday" stuff and to me, it wasn't a great game mode.

I also wish we had more EMD but RE7 does have a lot of extra challenge mode type stuff like doing the time challenges on End Of Zoe but they also are nowhere as fun as EMD.

@@NicerNine I don't like the Statue speedruns, it's not that interesting to me and it's no fun getting the albert and killing yourself at the start so you can get the albert as soon as possible, it's a lot of stress, if you think you have a failed speedrun then you'll have to go to the start, discard everything apart from albert and then kill yourself again.
No statues is the most impressive thing you can do in this game.

This is my favourite video I've ever made, i put a lot of editing and interesting visuals and text commentary, I really like this video a lot and watch it every now and then.
I aim to beat it, someone beat me but honestly playing through this again is really toruture because I'll have to play like 200 attempts just to make it to Jack hahaha, the luck needed is like winning a lottery now.

I used to be very active in Ethan Must Die back in winter 2021, honestly I miss those days A LOT because it meant a lot to me about my current life state and things, even just playing RE7 and EMD i get reminded of those times.
Speedrunning this is really fun, however when you get a time like mine, you'll find it's really not fun and not good for your mental state anymore hahaha.
Even just not getting flamethrower at the very beginning is a reset for me because I need to burn the fat molded who blocks the door, otherwise i will not get my world record back.
And yes, youtube is disgusting now, unique really good content is just buried sometimes and i don't like social media in general, i stay away from it all,
But I do like logging into my youtube to see comments like yours because I like it when people leave comments on videos that I put a lot of effort into.

I don't know if this applies to Ethan Must Die, but in the base game, her egg sac is actually a strong point, and she takes less damage if you shoot that as opposed to her head or body
from what I understand, this is the same as Madhouse difficulty, the Head is actually her weak spot, you should aim for the head.
fortunately, when you enter the fight, you just have her head to aim at and when you see her again in the hole in the wall you should get her head again so you're going to be getting the max damage easily.

I don't really know, but my channel just never gets views anymore, my subscirbers never see my videos and a video like this (which was world record at the time) and SO unique with really rare gameplay and really impressive video editing is the type of video I am really proud of, I was hoping this would get more views than my slower EMD speedrun.

just minutes after I uploaded this, someone put me on r/speedrun and I had high hopes I'd ramdonly get 100,000 views in a day because my other video called My obvious fake speedrun that got verified was put on r/speedruna and all of a sudden i got 260,000 views in a day and a million views in under 2 weeks.

me too i thought it was an excellent DLC, it's a shame they just made 1 map for it.
I would love it if they made 2 more maybe in the ship or the old house with different charaters like Mia and Zoe or even a Lucas one.

@@Kincott go for it! theres something really addictive about it, but when you get a time like mine, then you'll need to cope with too much luck based things and enemies to hopefully not kill you as soon as you dodge them, because that happens a lot in this game. it's so frustrating.
You can get an excellent attempt and make it far enough to the albert where it actually spawned after 30 times of trying, but then that's where the anxiety kicks in because after 30 attempts and failing in the kitchen, or dining room means it'll take 50 more attmpts to even get a gameplay good enough to not reset really early into the speedrun.
Congratulations I think you're the best Re7 player ever what time do you think a speedrun with perfect luck would have?

Well, maybe not best RE7 player but certainly the best at this DLC right now.
IF you get Burner BEFORE the first fat molded blocking the stairs at 1:46 then you can save some time by killing the fat molded with the burner. I had that happen in my previous world record, check out that video, I was really lucky to get the burner there. I think it saves about 3 seconds.
Good question, I'd probably say 5:35, I could've done a risky bit at 3:00 where I carry on going forward and block the molded and run past him.
But doing that, even if you block, you can still get killed if they do that dumb glitchy follow up attack, I normally just risk everything but at that time I finally got the 4 star box and the Albert, I didn't want to risk that part.
And burner helps a little bit I got to just burn the trap in the pool table to that saved me walking around maybe saved 2 seconds haha

@@loansharkjoe6687 yeah and another crazy fact when not doing s speedrun than u have like so many more boxes/chances for good things that its acctually really easy this mode but with speedrun where u dont get many boxes and with speedrun only 1 4starbox spawn location can happen
@@monkey75499 yeah, to beat my time you must ignore certain boxes.
There's also places that almost always get you into danger health if you go for a box you will just get attacked from behind. For example the one at 1:19 even if you turn around as fast as you can it's very often that you'll just get hit.

You were right, I got even more impressed. This run should have more views than the other ones. I know it's a bit sad to do a exhausting video and it doesn't get as many views as they deserved, but that video I saw and said that was the best run I've seen that far was recommended by RUclips for me (this is probably one of the means that video is more viewed). But yes, I got even more impressed with this run and the other run you told me to see. This is amazing. I don't think it'll be beaten (not in our lifetime at least XD) either.

Yes, videos like this which are SO RARE and unique and just different from the rest are the ones that deserve to blow up in views.
Yeah, as far as my channel goes, my videos don't get shown to people anymore, there were times where a video would stay on 300 views for 2.5 months and then all of a sudden that video would get 300,000 views a day. (that video is "my obvious fake speedrun that got verified")
yeah and about the lifetime thing haha i think it's right, don't think anyone is going to beat me in resident evil 7, this was so exhausting in a number of ways. SO many times I'd reach to the greenhouse and not have enough ammo, but still had the Albert. And even for that to happen, many many attempts and luck is needed all the glitched molded follow up attacks that people do not really know about...
Hope you liked the music and my editing style I always like making things in time with the song and really make my videos different.

do you have the problem in the room with the fat molded and the normal molded right at the start sometimes a second normal molded spawns?? either in the room or behind the fat molded behind the door??? CUZ THAT ALWAYS HAPPENS TO ME AND IDK HOW TO DEAL WITH IT😭
i thought it was because forcing the normal molded to hit u right before walking down the stairs would cause it to move to the side and fall through the floor?? but it definetly isnt that i checked??😭 it just happens sometimes to me and its so frustrating

YES, sometimes there will be an extra molded that is JUST THERE when you reach this place. It's very annoying.
When that happens I just restart, but SOMETIMES he will be there, but unable to hurt you.

I really want to know because my channel is really bad now and my videos don't get big views anymore even though this is the most unique re7 speedrun when it came out and very rare gameplay. for me, getting the albert is so rare, as you can understand in the intro, and I find it very stressful to lower my time because everything has to be super lucky and perfect.
Yes, i had lots of fun making my other 6 minute video as well. It's a pitty my slowest EMD speedrun got the most views, and this one doesn't get shownt to people on yotuube despite being one of the most unique and impressive RE7 speedrun ever
2:00 when i try this the fat one only stands still and damages me xD
it looks simple but theres some things to know,
I close the door a a certain time, i use his feet as a cue, after his first step, wait a bit then close the door.
The door will shove him closer to you (skipping you waiting for him to walk slowly to you)
Then he can either just attack you, to which you block and run past him, or the best outcome is how I do it in the video.
There's also other ways to get passed him.
Now there's a ps5, this trick actually won't work as well on the ps5 for some reason, I believe it's because of the frame rate differenes, I play on pc and i play on 120 fps, it's harder to do this trick on ps5.
