Are you or did you forget to install the Faceplate? Looks like you can still see the cage all around the radio.

Thanks, makes it nice and clear. I’m going to buy a refurbished factory original stereo to replace the dying one in my 2000 S10 but I’ve never had the dash apart. I love that original Delco stereo but over the years the CD player has died and now the FM is barely audible, looks like it’s a breeze to replace!

I'm going to do the same thing in my s10, I've got an older pioneer super tuner, trouble is I don't have the pigtail for the power and speakers. I bought one on ebay once and it was too small, half the size in fact. Did you have to buy a new one or did your stereo have one already?
I see this post from 2 years ago. I have a Sonoma with exact setup as you have. I am going to install a touch screen that uses a double din setup. Is it time for you to upgrade? There are no videos out there on setting up a double din system in these older 1998 sonoma and s10

What is the mounting kit you used? I'm trying to do the same with my s10 and when I look for the installation kit I get ones with a 1000 little pieces.

Did you definitely need the antenna adapter ?
Yeah, on GM vehicles, they require an antenna adaptor if you want to listen to the radio. It is so silly they have a different size, but they do...

Could you put in a touch screen radio?
Do you have to solder / electrical tape the wires? I don't trust myself doing this.
Soldering is not to hard if thats the concern if its getting the right wires together then just try crimp connectors for a test but please do a solder on any wiring thats not near fuel or flamable its way stromger and has a better connection also cover the area your working above incase you drip

What's the name of those tools you're using to unscrew the screws?
+TRAPBULLY I am using a 1/4" drive ratchet with a small extension. Then the corresponding socket to fit the screws. Thanks for watching!

+Emily Elizabeth bummer! if your radio is a brand the sell at Best Buy, go in there and ask them if they have any extra. They usually have them lying around
Same for the square body’s?
I bet it will be similar, but it won't be exactly the same. You may have to do some Google-ing to make sure you get the right harness and dash kit.
Way more of a PITA on the old square bodies.
