New Fuel Pump Module Assembly from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AFP...
This video shows you how to install a fuel pump on your 2002-2005 Ford Explorer. Combustion engines need three things to operate: fuel, air, and spark. If your fuel pump isn’t delivering the fuel your engine needs, it will run poorly, or not at all. Or, the pump is fine, but your fuel gauge isn’t working. Many modern pumps include an integrated sending unit. Either way, a new engineered to fit fuel pump for TRQ is just what you need.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2002 Ford Explorer
    2003 Ford Explorer
    2004 Ford Explorer
    2005 Ford Explorer
    Tools you will need:
    • Flat Blade Screwdriver 1aau.to/oCh/1AX...
    • Pry Bar 1aau.to/ohR/1AX...
    • 13mm Wrench 1aau.to/oim/1AX...

This is a grade A example. I work in the rust belt...new vehicles come with rust before they can hit the dealership. This gives people a realistic look at what theyre trying to do themselves.

Great video Lenny! You are a great teacher. As an aside, it's always a good idea to replace the fuel filter with a new one at the same time you are installing a new fuel pump. Also, those two charcoal canisters on top of the fuel tank can be replaced as well; on many older vehicles these are clogged-up and it makes it difficult to pump gas in.

Your video is so comprehensive! I appreciate that you showed each step to get everything off and then back on! I watched other videos that only showed a few steps which made it very confusing.

I'm having some issues getting the bolt out of the fuel strap. It seems to be angled towards the driveshaft too far to get the socket on. Any advice, or do I just need to drop the shaft?

I replaced the fuel pump and filter, in my 2005 Ford Explorer but the engine seems to be starving for fuel. I replaced the fuel pressure sensor on the fuel rail, also, but it doesnt want to rev any higher then about 1200 rpm , and the fuel lever doesnt register properly. it shoes a negarive sweep towards empty,. would a stuck fuel level float arm keep the engine from running properly , by telling the ecm that there is not enough fuel in the tank..i know that im gonna have to drop the tank again to properly seat the fuel pump/sending unit in the tank because of the stuck float, but this float issue is driving me crazy. Thanks in advance.
