I put the 4.5 inch lost horizon in my new EVO2 tent. I took the free spirit mattress out. The Lost horizon pump does not work on the Free spirit mattress but you can buy other brands that do. I had used the lost horizon before and found it to be very comfortable and I am a stomach sleeper.
I've been thinking about putting the LH in the Evo V2. Haven't done it yet. Stock mattress in the Evo V2 is def more comfy than stock in iKamper. How's the reduced headspace??
Great demo all around! That fan makes is a game changer! I believe the valve and fan are proprietary. I'm not sure though - I saw someone else mention that in another video. Santa is bringing me one! Along with a hot tent. Love winter camping (New Jeresy, US), but my increasingly older bones enjoy some creature comforts. Liked and subscribed!
@@MikeTrachtenberg A hot tent is a tent with a wood stove (or propane heater). Makes life considerably warmer when camping in the winter months! Some might think it's "glamping", but being warm is kind of important! For car camping or backpacking short distances. THere are different brands and some are REALLY expensive. Check out the One Tigris Rock Fortress for an example.
I have one double bed from lost horizon. Slept on it last night. Very warm pad no ground temp felt. I’m looking to get two more for my kids. I may get that pump. I like that one pump can do my old mattress and the new ones too! Thanks for the video.
What’s up man, I just got mine today.(airmatress 4.5) excited to replace my stock mattress on my ikamper 3.0 yes deflation is a pita. I will def get one of those gizmo. I was looking at a similar product called flex trail gear. Thanks for the tip.
I got the flex tail gear one and the nozzles don’t fit for my king camp mattress that is very similar to this. I’m glad I came across this video. It appears the nozzles that come with the pump fit perfectly so I ordered one which comes tomorrow. Hoping it fits the inlet of the mattress better
Im not sure it was intentional that you showed the manual takedown in a gym but its well suited. This thing is a beast to roll up. Im laying on it right now watching your video. Ill be buying the pump for sure. Love the mattress otherwise. Thanks
How does it bend around the structure of the tent ? I can see it inflating around the pole on the inside. Can it wrap around structures when fully inflated without bending the middle of the mattress?
Can you comment on how much air is removed from the mattress compared to removing it manually? Specifically, when you get to the point of rolling the mattress up for storage, are you able to remove any additional air as you roll? I am asking because we would like to get the mattress volume down as much as possible for transport in our car and have yet to find a pump, other than our whole house vacuum, that removes more air than the manual rolling method.
I have not attempted to squeeze any extra air out after using the pump. It seems to get just as much air out as it did when I would roll it up and squeeze. I will say though, it was not any more challenging to close the tent, so it's definitely getting a lot of air out.
This was a follow up to a more detailed review I had already done of the mattress and not much had changed. I would recommend you check out my initial review of the mattress. I'm still "blown away" by how helpful the pump is! Thanks for the comment!
Good to see Linustechtips outside camping and enjoying nature for once ; )
Haha I guess he's my "celebrity" look alike
ahhahahaha
Great explanation!
Thank you very much

That looks awesome! I love my diesel heater (made a video on that - not sure if you saw it!)
Great review. You can get both the double mattress with pump for $199 together. Thanks!
Yes! It's 100% worth the extra!
@@MikeTrachtenbergdoes it require their own pump, or can you use any 3rd party air pump?
That’s really neat
It's so helpful!
Very interesting!!! That pump looks pretty darn tootin helpful! Great info!!
Thank you!

That’s so cool 😎
Thank you so much!
I have the same mattress bought last year, and my son’s friend dog bit it. How do I fix this? Thank you.
I suppose you could try a patch kit? That sounds like a tough one
I just ordered the mattress for the tacoma/pump
I'm sure you will be happy with it!
That’s awesome
Thank you!

Yup! It just kind of was l wraps around like you at but there's no bending in the middle!

Are you reviewing the matress or trying to sell the air pump?? worthless review
