Made this today. I read the comments from someone saying its too eggy. Since we get big eggs, I cut down to three. My whites didn't form stiff peaks because the weather is so humid but still the recipe turned out fantastic. In fact, it's impossible to eat one slice only. My mother loved it too. 30 mins bake time as in the video and it was perfect for tea! Thank you for this recipe! Turned out fab!

That's not technically "flourless" as baking terms go. Just wanted to suggest calling this "Gluten Free Almond Cake" instead. People who are allergic or intolerant to gluten don't typically search for "flourless" as a search term or keyword. Using a more accurate title will help more people who need this recipe to locate it more easily.
I consider this flourless just like when I use oat flour. This is ground almonds and I think most people when they think of flour it is the traditional flour like my Mama always used. We can call almond, oat, coconut flour but it isn't. It bakes differently and doesn't have what regular flour has in it.
I tried it , everything was fine except that it didn't puffed up like yours 🥺. Should I try adding baking powder or baking soda next time or is it because I didn't beat the egg white properly? Thanks
Well now I like the look of this but can I make it suitable for a diabetic, or someone concerned about their blood sugar levels? The eggs & almonds should be fine. Very nutritious in fact.The sugar is an issue. Maybe I can make it a lot less sweet. Perhaps a little mashed banana or a little stevia but not so much as the sugar in the recipe. Maybe just enough to make it slightly sweet. I'm finding I prefer things less sweet now anyway.
You can use erythritol or munk fruit sweetener. It measures just like sugar and tastes great. I'm on a keto diet so I can't have sugar, but want to try the recipe so that's what I'll be doing
