Thank you God for my birth in the 50's. What an amazing time to grow up listening to music of the 50's, 60's, 70's....Awesome upload and thanks for rekindling remarkable memories!!
most 14 year olds would think this music is for old people, but to me its for people with good taste, for people who know what a real legend is. i love Neil Young, reminds me of my childhoood, my dad alway used to sing and play guitar to his songs to me before i would go to sleep, and now thats inspirerd me to play guitar, soo i picked up a guitar tought myself some neil young tunes, now me and my dad jam out to Neil Young together :)
Rock & Roll will never die,,!!! we have to teach our children & grandchildren about the best music that's ever graced this earth.... I can't imagine being on this earth without rock& roll. 🎸💜☮️
+turtletwi - Neil was helping Cobain with his addictions. I believe he was scheduled to see him shortly after he chose to shuffle this mortal coil. What did he say in his suicide not that Neil wrote. Maybe it comforted Neil and fans to know Cobain made a lucid cognizant choice. But I sincerely doubt it. long term solution for a short problem.
"It's better to burn out cuz rust never sleeps" Neil Young. General MacArthur's farewell speech, proudly, "“Old soldiers never die they just fade away”. Poor Kurt. He was unable to accept the reality of a life well lived.
Neil Young is a genius. Love his edgy, impossible to forget music of the late Eighties onward, as much as the wonderfully sweet songs like Harvest Moon we so loved in the 1970's. If listeners haven't checked out Neil's bio on sites like Wikipedia, do so. Well worth the read to understand the extent of Mr. Young's musical contribution.
Amazing. My dad puts CDs of Neil Young, Greatful Dead, Tom Petty, Jackson Browne, CrosbyStills&Nash, and tons of other oldies in the truck when we go out. I'm probably one of the few thousand 13 year olds out there who love musicians like this.
Neil is an artist who has not only made the journey himself, but appreciates the route that others take. Musically speaking, a most generous man -- and a great artist and chronicler of our time.
One of my favorite artists... Then capitulated to state mandates... The most punk rock people I know nowadays are engineers and IT guys that stood firm. Crazy times. Even if they erase time, our absences will remember X
Es un maniático de la perfección del sonido en sus conciertos. De los mejores directos que he visto en mi vida. Suena como el cristal. Un grande sin duda alguna. Jamás lo olvidaré.🍁
Never say that. There are people arround you that have left their lives fade away in their struggle to help other people just to surrvive. People with no names,no past and no future.Shadows moving among us, ballancing between heroic and oblivion.Be gentle and let big words to the fools. Wishes from Greece!
Neil young is part of my history. maybe he's gone but his not forgotten. and mind you guys, I'm a filipino but I do appreciate a lot his song. so as you should
Great post. The Neilster defends his copyrights. So it's hard to get his studio stuff on RUclips (even though I paid for the vinyl), So I thank you. If you had to pay artists for the pleasure they gave you, I'd have to give Neil my first born. It's better to burn out Than to fade away Love you, Neil
Love Neil Younfg. Tonight is the night of his Bridge School Benefit Concert At Shorline, Mountain View.. Crosby, Stills and Nash reunited with him for the concert. How amazing.
I will always rember the time I first heard this song, me and my best friend were stuck in a traffic jam on a big bridge smoking a 3 gram blunt out my car window. It was a great moment!
so i heard this song just today in a store and fell so in love,i started writing down lyrics on the napkin, just so i could type them in and hope for the best!!rick and roll can never die!!
Angel thank you for your kindness and friendship, I loved your video very beautiful music, congratulations, success, has an excellent night, a thousand kisses in your heart
can't believe i forgot this one, it is so good it hurts !! i really love his music, and the poetry of it, it all makes sense, somehow. . . . kinda magical and cool . . . .
From Wikipedia... Neil Percival Young,[3] OC,[4] OM[5] (born November 12, 1945) is a Canadian singer-songwriter who is widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of his generation.[6] Neil Young was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The music is the best, not all the glam and new re-makes as he gets older.... we all do. I am in awe over this man's music, very honest, outspoken. Wonder why he never had to hide as Cat Stevens felt he had to?
This recording is top QUALITY like Mr. NEIL YOUNG! And, I have to add along with this prized song and recording that the design for Neil's "Harvet" record cover is so magnificent too! Love the Young forevr!
Why compare? Music is evolutionary. One person hears something magical and goes on from there. To make judgements about who is better makes one a non appreciator of creative people as a whole. Love it, Hate it, but understand it.
This is some good music... I have tons of old music on vinyl I've been buying up... and yes music then was just better to me.... it had it's soul still
yeah, totally agree bro. Just for 100 %. All your arguments are well-chosen and real. Plus, I like that light irony in your post, peppered with the life experince and some carcasm. Especially, I like the words where you say that Neil Young is the best singer in the world.
"Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)" is a rock song by Neil Young. Combined with its acoustic counterpart "My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)", it bookends Young's successful 1979 album Rust Never Sleeps. Inspired by proto-new wave group Devo, the rise of punk and what Young viewed as his own growing irrelevance, the song today crosses generations, inspiring admirers from punk to grunge and significantly revitalizing Young's then-faltering career.
I can feel the emotion and anger on the first note Neil Young plays and I can tell the crowd feels the same way. I LOVE this version and there's just something about accoustic guitar that makes it better. If I spelled accoustic wrong, I had a few drinks while writing this!!!
Neil Young is one of my heroes. I wish I could meet him and tell him of the influence he has had on my life. I am truly one of the biggest fans of his music ever. Neil, you rock like it supposed too. .hey hey my my! !

This is probably the greatest song I've ever heard.
One of my all time favourite Neil Young songs, even better when you're sat watching him play it live!!

And Gordon Lightfoot Too

+Yiğit Uyumaz Cobain was a big fan too. quoted his lyrics in his suicide note...actually from this song..

Beautiful song and rendered so marvelously by my guitar hero, Neil Young. Love him!
"It's better to burn out cuz rust never sleeps" Neil Young. General MacArthur's farewell speech, proudly, "“Old soldiers never die they just fade away”. Poor Kurt. He was unable to accept the reality of a life well lived.
