    Thanks for the video...just purchased a box of this Sika fastfix in deep grey for £26.40 Inc. Vat, from a local supplier after searching online. (Usual price seems to be around £36 at present). Just need a grouting tool/iron or trowel to do the job. 👍

      Nice price😊 I don't use that brand anymore, takes too long as a contractor for it to go off ... about two days!
      It's fine though. Just don't let anyone stand on your paving after you've pointed it😉

    Yes Mann, good point. On point my guy. At one point I was low, but this was a real turning point in my life. Pointing out the obvious right here man, stop trying to prove a point, there's no point. I think I've hit my highest point ever. 10/10 points. This was just a bullet point list of my life.

    Nice vid,
    Is this product durable as the method looks too easy to apply.
    I am haveing a patio priced and the company use this or a similar product, I am really not convinced by it compared to proper cement pointed in .
    👍🏻

    • @naturalhabitatlandscaping3681

      Hi Hovermotion,
      I've changed back to Pavetuf rather than Sika Fastfix.
      Pavetuf goes off a bit quicker than Sika but, they are both fine.
      It's just so much easier than cement pointing as you have to wait for a dry day to do it but, with a resin based compound .... the wetter the better😁
      I've put a link below for how to apply
      the Pavetuf. Enjoy

    Iv used your 6:1 dry mix for laying my slabs. Worked a treat. Now, iv come to pointing. Could I just use a 3:1 mix totally dry, and sweep it into the gaps?

    • @naturalhabitatlandscaping3681
      @naturalhabitatlandscaping3681  2 года назад

      Hi Jon, You can do yes.
      I used to do it that way but, its dependant on a nice dry day.
      The Sika all weather pointing is great for me as a contractor as it can be pouring down when you do it!
      Hope it goes well mate

    @666Bern666 Год назад

    So having just tried this stuff, my main issue is its cost. My 1 box barely did a 3rd of my patio. Another couple ordered. thats £90+ whereas a bag of cement and sand would have been under £15 and would have done the lot. I am now questioning whether I've wasted my money.... The only advantage I can see is its handy for builders when its raining?

    • @naturalhabitatlandscaping3681
      @naturalhabitatlandscaping3681  Год назад +1

      There is some truth in what you say. Definitely more expensive than sand and cement but NOT being constrained by the British weather is a real advantage .... particularly if your cement pointing is ruined by the rain and you have to do it all again!😠
      On the plus side you get a better choice of colours with resin based pointing compound. I guess you pays your money and takes your choice😁

    • @666Bern666
      @666Bern666 Год назад

      Yeah I saw lots of people online using this and thought it must be the way to go. Was expecting to do the patio out of 1 box.... Errr no. Doing my own patio and having chosen dry summer days, now wondering why! :-) Not bothered about the colour just wanted to stop all the weeds as half my grout had fallen out. I can imagine its a godsend for builders in the winter! Just hoping its going to set properly....

    Is the sika long lasting? Or is 3 to 1 cement brushed in as good or better?

    • @naturalhabitatlandscaping3681
      @naturalhabitatlandscaping3681  Год назад

      Sika will last for about 6-8 years before you need to repoint.
      3 to 1 cement brushed in? .... used to do that years ago but, it really doesn't last.
      If you are gonna use cement , use a wet mortar mix and do it as you lay the slabs. I've put a link below.

      I don’t tend to seal them as I like the fact that they are different colours depending on whether they are wet or dry. If you seal them, it will fix their colour if you understand. Anyway, probably Thompsons one coat patio sealer is what you’re looking for.😁
