What a difference!

Thanks John mate hope your doing alright . People seem to be going for the cheaper trades people option with us aswell . Very frustrating when all we care about is doing a really good job but that extra detail thought and attention costs .You get what you pay for with us and if people want cheap let em carry on . Difficult times followed by what thats the big question. Not a lot of confidence to spend money out there at the moment. 43% materials have gone up on average since 2021 .Its difficult now to win work as its difficult for people to afford the work its natural for people to look at cheaper options. For us we set out who we are we have an identity of a trusted company that do top work and that cant change John. Good luck pal speak again soon mate for a catch up . Justin 👍
First of all what a great job. This is on my agenda next year. One question the run off from the flow point slurry do you worry about it setting in drains?
Brian if your were closer to Cardiff id love to help .Surrey is a bit far for us unfortunately sorry but i appreciate your thought about us doing your work .Good luck . Justin 👍
Had my patio repointed three times in six years, now needs doing again as they used the expensive Sika fastfix (over 150 sq m) which is useless and not able to sustain jetwashing!! I appreciate your attitude and hard work to get best results.
Thanks David yes unfortunately the sika stuff is useless in my opinion. These companies sell products saying its this and that and its not fit for the intended purpose. The contracter uses it because they believe its good but it falls short .👍
Thanks for the video. After using the squeegee to drag the cement slurry, how do you clean the excess off the paving, without removing it from the gaps, please?
Great result, but two questions if I may: 1) won't the hypochlorite kill the grass as well as cleaning off the mould spots? 2) The flowpoint seems to leave a very rough finish with that approach - isn't that just going to accumulate dirt, moss, mould? Looks as if a brickie's jointing trowel could fix that, but not sure at what stage. I have a large buff concrete patio that needs completely repointing and wondering whether to try flowpoint over the traditional soak, let slabs dry in sun, brush in dry mortar mix, point method.
You have to be careful using chemicals obviously. I didn't create any damage to plants and grass and ive never found hypo do that although it can be harmful to green growth but thats the chance you and the customer take if you want your patio cleaned i guess. All i will say about flowpoint is in my opinion its at this time the best product to use to point or re point indian sandstone. Its very strong and durable and comes in different types and colour so may be look up flowpoint smooth for your requirements 👍
Thanks. 4.25 lts per bag of flowpoint..the wash off is dependent on temperature. Warmer weather wash off it 10mins or colder weather way more .so i cant answer that its on the day really 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscapingthanks for the amazing video! As I was going to ask the same I rather continue here... What consistency are you going for before deciding is read for the wash off? Liked and subscribed!
@ignaciobarcia1549 Welcome to our channel. Flowpoint needs to be firm to the touch in the joint before it's washed off. Be careful it doesn't stick to the slabs though it's all about timing with it . Good luck 👍
Flowpoint can leave a haze in some areas of the paving. Sometimes we use a weak dilution to clean this off to give those perfect results we look for .It has no immediate or lasting effects on the Flowpoint. 👍
Great video! Wondering what the best way to clean up after is? Want to do this for my mum but want to prevent as much run off into her garden as possible! Cheers!
the whole point of using both hypo (bleach) and slurry based pointing is you must rinse off afterwards with copious amounts of water. Run off is therefore both essential and inevitable. You'll notice that the (keen gardener) householder removed certain plants before they started, presumably to eliminate any risk to them The only other safeguard you can use is to thoroughly soak the borders so any run off will be entering totally saturated ground where it will become so dilute it is much less likely to do any lasting damage.
Wow that’s such a transformation. Can I ask 2 questions? Can you use the same technique with slate? And is it a reasonable DIY job or is it one of those things that’s waaaay harder than it looks?
