We couldn’t believe how evenly it salted the steaks Ki. And you can totally wam this up in the oven, same process. But you can also use it as a cold serving tray! Put it in the freezer for a couple of hours and serve your cold appetizers on it.
Such a brave man. Risking those beautiful ribeye steaks with no salt on them.... they look amazing at the end. I never heard of these salt blocks. Will have to look into them. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. Happy Cooking, UB
Hey UB! Well I figured if I didn’t get the salt transfer I could just salt them afterward. But it was really nice man. Very even, mild salt flavor through and through. And not just on the surface! It penetrates the meat really nicely.
Between de baumz video and yours im sold on this process. I got my salt block for xmas and I'll be trying it out tonight while watching football. Thanks for all your research ans the video!
very informative video Ron! You really did you research so the rest of us don't have to. This video needs to really rank high in search since it'll be super useful to people trying out this method. terrific job!
I'm sold on this process. I have never seen this done before so I'm excited to give this a shot. The steaks looked delicious. Cheers to a awesome video man
It’s really cool man. Don’t skip the last step like I did though, lol! Do the 15 minute increments until the baskets are completely underneath the salt block. And use my link when you buy yours, lol!
Cool man! Glad you found it useful. I’ll be posting a video on how to clean it tonight or tomorrow so be sure and subscribe and hit the bell to be notified. Thanks for watching!
Thanks bro! I didn’t intend to go quite that pink but now I see what the medium rare crowd are such fanatics about. That was probably the most tender steak I’ve ever cooked. I just took too big of a bite, lol! But the way the salt block transfers salt to the steak is so cool! It’s so evenly distributed man. Every bite has the same amount of salt, and not just on the outside. I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t done it. Oh and since you gon buy one anyway (because you can warm this thing up in the oven and cook on the stovetop) use my link! 🤣
I wouldn’t have done it before I started grilling man. Learning what all the proper safe internal temps are showed me how much of our foods are just over cooked man.
Those steaks look good 😋I never heard of a salt block but now you got me convinced that I need to try one .
