Ron On The Grill
США
Добавлен 10 янв 2021
I'm an average guy who happens to love grilling and bbqing in my back yard. I try to make my videos reflect that, from the feel of my videos to the channel name. No company or business name, just me, Ron-cooking on my grills.
For me BBQing is about so much more than the food. It's the sights, sounds, atmosphere and overall peace it gives me. I try to include those elements in my videos so you they give you same feeling when you watch. And, since nothing completes a nice relaxing evening out in the backyard like some good music, I often include some of that too. My hope is that when you watch the videos you'll find them both informative and relaxing. At the end, I hope you feel like you've been hanging out with a friend while he's cooking up something good on the grill.

The One BBQ Tool I Never Cook Without
I use this tool every time I cook on the grill. This tool makes you cook better. Makes your food come out just right, every time. I literally use it every time I fire up the grill, and unlike many other grilling tools and accessories, I use it when I cook inside too.I even taught my wife to use it. I'll demonstrate my most important tool in this video.

Oak tail is just as high as steak always has been
There is no substitute for ox tails👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿☹️🤫🤫🤫😠🥶🥵🤯🤬
A lot of people feel that way! But those people usually just spend the money to buy what they want, then STFU about it. . You saw the title and clicked on this video anyway.
Great video
Hey Ron, even though My Favorite is Fried Catfish, this one here looks Bangin'. ❤ 🖤 💚👍🏼 B1
Well I haven’t fried any catfish but I’ve grilled some. I actually have 2 grilled catfish videos- one where it was really good but it stuck to the grill (happens a lot when you grill catfish) and another follow-up video where I show how to keep it from happening.
Watching you cut food on your cutting board word of advice use a wet paper towel under your cutting board for safety reasons so you won’t never cut your hands
Ron, So Sorry you Lost Your Uncle, May He Rest in Power. Wow, Your Grand Ma had 11, that's Magnificent. My Grand Ma had 9, all are gone except 1. I Kept My Mom until I turned 22, I have been without her ever since. Please continue to spend time with your Mom as Much as You Can My Brother !! ❤ 🖤 💚👍🏼 B1
Thank you friend.
Ron, I have to try this with the Montreal Steak Seasoning 👍🏼
Let me know how it goes!
Heck yeah man
Thanks Cap!
I need these!!!! I love smoked mac and that looks good fam!
It’s amazing man! Thanks for watching.
Well this one blew up, didn’t it? Looks great as always. You served that slow cooked beef with the vegetables over the rice, that speaks to me man!
It did blow up! But I don’t know that very many of the people who saw it are interested in the content I do. Still grateful though, very exciting to have one do those kinds of numbers.
I can tell you like that weber kettle, they are nice units. And it looks like you are a Kingsford charcoal man. I used to use Kingsford. But a while back I found Cowboy Charcoal at Walmart. By far, the absolute best charcoal I ever used, and I've used a bunch. The best part is, Walmart sells it cheap. 40 pounds for about $18. It comes in a 2x20 lb 2 pack. It's not lump but it is all hardwood briquettes. I was blown away, I stocked up, I hate wasting money.
Man, you know what keeps me buying kingsford? Convenience. It’s available EVERYWHERE. I don’t want to drive out of my way to find something When Kingsford is a block away from everywhere I am, lol. But I do want to check it out, man. Might have to put my big boy drawz on and just go a little out of the way to get some. Especially if it makes that much of a difference.
@RonOnTheGrill I hear you. My only complaint with Kingsford is the price, cause I'm cheap, and when you clean up your ash pan, with Kingsford, the ashes are heavy. Idk if it's sand or gravel or some additive they use , but its unburned and it's heavy. All that weight is not charcoal and that's what you're paying for. Ashes should basically weigh nothing, like with lump charcoal, so light the wind blows it away. But, Kingsford is always there and very consistent product.
@eltomas3634 you’re making a very compelling argument though man.
@@eltomas3634 do you smoke low and slow with it?
@RonOnTheGrill I've done both low and slow in a smoker using it and direct grilling or indirect. I've even used it, shut the vents and lids to choke the fire out and reused the half burned charcoal again. The cowboy charcoal has large briquettes. It doesn't crumble apart. It's just good stuff.
I Agree With You Ron, it Makes Perfect Sense to Dump those Charcoals the Next time you BBQ, not the Same Day You BBQ, to Be On The Safe Side. Another Nice One Ron !! ❤ 🖤 💚✊🏽 B1
Thanks, my friend! Glad you liked the video.
Thanks for the info Ron, it's going to be helpful
You bet!
Ron, I really have to Catch Up Watching & Commenting On Your Videos. I was in RUclips Jail, but I'm Back Now !! Mac & Cheese and Yams Look Bomb !! ❤ 🖤 💚✊🏽 B1
How'd you get tossed into RUclips Jail??
@@RonOnTheGrill Oh, I have been in RUclips Jail 4 times already. Some folks think Your Sister is Radical on Some Issues !! LAWD !! ❤ 🖤 💚✊🏽 B1
@Queen_Amenarina That shouldn’t be enough for RUclips shouldn’t be enough to get you censored though.

@@Queen_Amenarina Ok I got cha now.
Osso Bucco, the dish is a casserole I guess. Delicious slow cook. All that meat falls off the bone and gelatinous into the tomato based Italian amazing dish. That's the shin bone.
Thanks for watching!
shukran habibi
Pretend ox tails lol
Nope! A cheaper alternative for people who don’t want to spend the money for Oxtail.
THANKS
You’re welcome!
Ron I really like the way you did the yams. Very nice
Thanks my friend!
Proper. Well done, sir.
Thanks bro!
Nice sides!! Had friends over last night for bible study and we served prime rib cooked on the grill. So good!!
Wow, impressive! I haven’t even done a prime rib myself yet.
@ You gotta get one Ron!! Costco has some real good ones. I like to remove the bone before grilling then tie it back on with some butcher string, it makes slicing the roast much easier. Prime rib doesn’t need much love to be yummy. Best served with a big red wine!!
Impressive, man!
I COOKED THIS MEAT THE WAY I PREPARE MY OXTAILS. MORE MEAT AND IT'S GIVEN ME THE TASTE OF OXTAILS.
That's It Ron, I Need A Chef !! 😅😊 👍🏼
LOL!
Oh My Ron Now that Looks Delish !! ❤ 🖤 💚👍🏼
thank you friend.
I Never Knew About This Ron. I have 2 Favorite Cakes & 1 is 7Up Cake and that is like a pound cake, wonder how it would taste grilled ? I need to try it.
Yeah I spotted people doing it on youtube. Most of them were putting fruit on top of theirs. They all looked great.
My question is why do all eat ox ass...as big as an ox is why you dying to eat its ass....ox chitterlings 😮
My question is why even click on a video whose content you have no interest in? You’re just like the ox’s ass, full of shit, lmao. Just having fun with you, but seriously; I’m you know this, but Oxtail is just that; the tail, not the ass. You may not know (and it probably doesn’t matter) that oxtail actually comes from cows now. They used to come from Oxen but they stopped using them many years ago. I feel you though, there’s some things I just won’t eat. Chitterings is one of them (now THAT is ass, lol).
Looks really good! Great grilling as always!
Thanks friend!
Hi Ron. I have a chargrill and i have 3 vents. 1 one the right. Another under the the chimney . How should i adjust that on.
The two vents at the bottom are just there to give you options on which end of the grill you want to put your fire on. For example, if you're placing your coals/wood on the right side of the grill use that vent and leave the other one closed. Same thing goes if you were putting your fuel (aka whatever you're burning for heat) on the other side. Use the bottom vent closest to your fire, because that vent will control the heat. If it were me and I was smoking meat, I would use the vent on the opposite side of where the chimney is, then put my meat on the on the end where the chimney is so it draws the smoke over the food as it goes out of the chimney. When you're grilling it doesn't matter which end you put your fire on. You just want to use the vent closest to the fire for heat control.
Great advice, Thanks Ron!!👍👍
Thanks buddy!
I think you should try smoking them in a pan right from the beginning next time. Catch all that juice and flavor.
It’s a good idea, but on my grill space is limited so it would be a smaller pan that may not fit 10 neck bones like I did here. I don’t think I’d do fewer than that. I’ll definitely look into it next time I make them though, thanks!
Looks delicious bro I am gonna smoke me some today
Let’s go! Please come back and tell me how it went.
Make it happen Ron!
Thank you brother! Any tips? I’m thinking raising the temp during the braise would do the trick. Your thoughts?
This looks so good! Thanks for sharing 👍
My pleasure 😊

You Are Welcome
1:11 The music comes on like he about to make love to em. 😂
I did, lol!
@RonOnTheGrill 😆
Great and delicious recipe man!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching and commenting.
See if I make these I'd eat the whole pot at one sitting.
I don't think you can do it, lol!
Sure do got some and tried and they are cheaper did a little research of course ox tail is the tail but shine bone is the leg cuts are identical and fat taste just the same
I thought they were very close too, but some commenters disagree!
Alright Ron, when are you going to Open Up your Restaurant because, We will be there !! ❤ 🖤 💚👍🏼
Oh nooo, no restaurant for me. I want to keep enjoying what I do. Restaurants are extremely difficult to run. The most I’ll do is cook something for a friend or coworker that wants to pay me to smoke or bbq something for them. I’ve done that a couple of times and I enjoyed it.
Great informative vid fam!!! Keep doing your thang bro!!!
I appreciate cha man!
I enjoyed watching your process Ron. ❤ 🖤 💚👍🏼
Thank you friend.
Impressive video, Ron On The Grill. Looking forward to your next upload! I hit that thumbs up button on your segment. Keep up the fantastic work. Your insights on the connective tissue of neck bones were enlightening! Have you considered experimenting with different smoking woods to see how they affect the flavor profile of the meat?
All the time!
I do cook Neckbones and pinto beans, Neckbones and cabbage but I never considered Neckbones on the grill. Thank You Ron for this idea. ❤ 🖤 💚👍🏼
You’re welcome! Go low and slow and smoke them for about 3-4 hours, then increase the temp and braise them covered until they’re tender.
I've started to turn the temperature up in the stall because I saw someone else do it. Just watch the meat and keep it moist, and it will turn out the same. Slow cook all the way up to the stall, then go to 350- 400, depending on how behind you are.
I’ll have to try that, man. That was probably the issue right there.
@RonOnTheGrill Yeah. I saw it on a " BBQ Expert" RUclips channel.
Dope. Thanks for sharing
Thank you brother!
mmm-mmm-mmm😂😂😂 I can eat that right now!!! Love some ox tail, beef shank and lamb shoulder, all cooked on a grill y'all.
I’m with you there!
You're the Man bro. Great video 👏🏿💯✊🏿
Thanks bro, appreciate the love!
Osso Bucco I usually for soup.
