its not well done, well done...its well done, done well. and to the other reply about knowing daves score...why dont they give an odds book? i had dave at 7.9 on this 12 seconds before he sed 7.8 ...i'm always within a point. its how to read dave.
Yep, amazing as soon as he opens the box and takes out a slice you can tell that's a great pizza and boom it gets a great score of 7.8 definitely stopping in and getting a pie at this place.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 for the love of god Dave was more worried about having flappy tits than the pizza but when the girl came out he gave that score real quick 🤣🤣🤣 everybody knows the rules
This pizza place is definitely one of the best on long Island..Frank Montana and his brother are probably the most humble hard working people I have ever met.Everything on that menu is fresh and authentic everyday.Wish they had pizza like this in Texas Well deserved score
If that bald guy owned the pizza shop, we all know Dave’s emotions would have been too enamored to not give at least an 8.1, everybody knows the rules!
I was wondering when he would get to Long Island! Suffolk County- Colliseo Pizza(plain or peppers & onions the best! ) Port Jefferson Station, corner Rte112 & 25a ! & yes, Freeport is on the South Bay Long Island… great seafood & fishing boats!
I’ve been going there since it was in the old parking lot across the street. Growing up in Freeport right over there off Atlantic Avenue! The owner is frank he’s cool!
I like how they always make it the way Dave likes it when it's supposed to be how they make it all the time for everyone😂🤦♂️ Even though well done and crispy is the only way
I get your point. But its different when you are pumping out pies. We always had regulars and if they had preferences for more or less cooked. We did our best to provide that. But the average person doesn't necessarily want the char believe it or not... You go on these pizza places google reviews and you'll find people consider it burnt lot of times. Best thing is to make it for your average customer and then encourage people to let ya know if they prefer more cooked.
@@lawrenceshdow cause theyre used to pizza hut and dominos n lil ceasers n shit. not real pizza thats actually good, thats how pizza is supposed to be like. a little char. the oven is hot asf, ofc theres gonna be a little char. ppl dont get that though

I’m a pizza chef looks pretty good Grande cheese is part of an equation pizza is art as well as science the flour everything you do is what you get♥️♥️♥️
Next time you're on Long Island, you gotta try "Molto Pizza" in Babylon. It's right up your alley. It's coal-fired, nice and crispy, it's got that delicious charred crust, very fresh tomato taste. Their "regular" pie is a Margherita style. Get that, but also get the "Rosso Pomodoro", which is made with Buratta cheese. Seriously, this place is top-notch. And I've been a truck driver in NY for 20+ years. I eat pizza for lunch nearly every day, so I know all the pizza spots in the outer boroughs and Long Island. I've considered starting a RUclips channel myself.
Honestly, overall, Long Island is really best for its "specialty" slices. I can recommend some amazing places that have great Buffalo Chicken slices, or chipotle chicken or cajun chicken pizzas. Chicken bacon ranch, chicken parm slices, chicken marsala slices. Vodka slices are very popular on LI. The "Grandma" pie was actually invented at "Umberto's" of New Hyde Park, which I know you reviewed. you didn't try the grandma's, but you scored the Sicilian, I think, 8.6. "White slices" are very popular on LI, ziti slices, either with marinara or vodka sauces, are also very popular. I know a few places that make a great ravioli alla vodka pizza, killer. LI is famous for its seafood, so there are many seafood style pizza's as well - shrimp pesto slices, calamari marinara pizza, etc. Most LI pizzerias have huge displays of dozens of styles of pizza. So just trying a plain old "regular" slice on LI is not a real review, really. Brooklyn is really more known for regular cheese pizza. LI is home to the specialty slice. Huge selections
Would be a psycho or an idiot not to. The guy spends decades perfecting his craft, and he has the only reviewer on the planet who has sampled thousands of the best pizzerias in the country, doing a once-in-a-lifetime review of your place. Normally I wouldn't say that about an owner watching the review -- just cases where the owner/chef is a perfectionist type, treating it as an art form. People in that category are going to watch, it would be nearly irresistible if you could do it without being seen or interfering with the review.
@prez!! Since you're in the area, please, please please visit Marinara and The Pizza Place in Hewlett on Long Island in the 5 Towns (I know, lengthy name; watch Goodfellas to see where Tommy said Karen was from lol). These joints are close to Oceanside and deserve your review. Both joints are thin crusts with really great cheese to sauce ratio. As close to Pizza Amore in Flushing as you can get on Long Island!! They're each the down the block from each other. COME THROUGH Prez!!!
The Sicilian pie is much better than their regular pie. If you're on southern state pkwy near the meadowbrook pkwy head to Montana Brothers in Freeport on your way to the Hamptons and get a sicilian slice for the ride!

I kept getting distracted by the string of cheese dangling out the side of the box 😂
That pizza maker is the type of guy you want as an owner!
❤

Your pie won't look like that though. Guy said he made it well done just for him. You're getting a doughy mess.

That looked perfectly cooked to me. Another 45 seconds in the oven = a Dave 8.1.
It really was an 8.1 but he chickened out.
