Dave meets himself. Everybody knows the rules
🤣🤣🤣
Pretty much talking to the mirror
This comment deserves to be at the top
😂
Spot on
I have never seen two people not understand each to this extent. It was like they were speaking different languages.
It's like they were having completely separate conversations

It's the east coast tradition to talk at people instead of with them.
the fucking confidence in his eyes when he told Dave the cheesesteak is excellent
Dave, you are going to eat this cheesesteak. I don't care that you have 10 pizza review lined up. And we both know it.
dave looked into his soul and he knew the guy was about it
He had the Most serious "It's Excellent" & I'll kill someone if they say anything different look on his face. haha.

Holy shit that cheese steak looks absolutely amazing.
I would seriously drive for that steak, incredible looking

Matt seems like a very cool guy that puts his heart and soul into the food.
True
Dave low-key trolling Matt - “we were rapping, then he cruised out …” 😂😅
Yeah I saw that..... It was a low-key diss hahah
Dave's Doppelganger, but even more impaired and obnoxious. Love it!
Man that guy needs to chill the hell out and let the pizza be the review!
God, that guy's annoying
Lol
I thought same thing
They could twins
ahh by the end he grew on me. Not a bad guy
@Spring Fox Can I get 1 cheesesteak no talking please? Thanks.
8 minute review, everyone knows it’ll be a classic
I love the influence Dave has. "YA PHILLY REAL QUICK MAKE IT NICE HUH." Man, I absolutely love it.
The man exudes confidence, but not in an overbearing way. He just knows what he has.
I think he got a bit overzealous on the hovering but the food looked great. Hope he gets a good business bump.
Confidence in ones skill and abilities should never be taken lightly. !
didn't even mention the treatment of the cheesesteak until after dave scored it
Disagree. Seems like a control freak who hovered. Didn't have the confidence to let the Prez step outside on his own and do his thing.
That cheesesteak looks to die for.
I’d fu*k it!
Facts
Yeah I live in Texas and even I admit that you don't get to great of cheese stakes here.... That looked so good!
@@dawnkeener9836 thanks for admitting that Dawn. I’m sure everyone around the world thought Texas had the best cheesesteaks till you admitted that. Thank you

"You guys have permission to film myself on my patio today?"
I literally thought of him during the review - the patio permission guy.
true hahahaahahaha
bahahahhah spot on
Great observation 😂
Dave having to explain an 8 and above is a great score because the last few places he gave 8’s weren’t excited, everyone knows the rules.
🎉love your moniker ( name )
I don't care that the owner was standing next to him the whole time, that pizza looked incredible. 8.2 might actually be lower than what most people would give it because it looked far above a "typical" pie that most people would be used to having. I don't like Philly Cheesesteaks, but I would totally try that because, my goodness, just LOOK at it!
Your opinion is void because you don't like cheesesteaks lol
@@sirfrancisbacon4344 I don't like sweet green peppers, and have a mild onion allergy, so to me they're garbage because they are full of both green peppers and onions. I'd have to try to get them to make it with different contents if possible.
@@aliwantizu idk where you're going where a cheeseteak comes standard with peppers and onions but a cheeseteak in its purest form is just cheese and steak on a good roll. and idiots will tell you that it has to use wiz for the cheese but they dont know nothing because american cheese is the proper way to go.
@@collapsingagain The Original Cheesesteak was made with only chopped beef and grilled onions. Cheese was added later with Provolone being the first cheese added to the Original concept. Provolone, Cheez Whiz, and American Cheese are the most commonly used cheeses. Peppers or Mushrooms or both Peppers and Mushrooms are later and very common variations, and most commonly found in "Philly Cheesesteaks" made outside of Philly.
@@aliwantizu thanks wikipedia, i said what i said. Cheesesteak = cheese (american), steak, good quality roll. the rest is extra.
8.2 No pressure from the Owner! Everybody knows the rules!
Getting mad at a 9.2 cheesesteak because you still have to eat 15 lbs of pizza after, everybody knows the rules
I don't know why, but this was my favorite review from Dave I've seen. I love how he is talking to that guy as if they were college buddies lol Great looking pizza and cheese steak 🤤
Work down the street from this place and eat lunch there at least once a week. Owner really is the nicest guy ever and pizza is unreal.
If this guy was doing ok before his business is gonna be booming now. If I'm ever up there I'm definitely stopping by that place for a pie and cheese steak sandwich
He's gonna get destroyed place is gonna be booming. Can't wait to go here.

I’m in Toronto and I want to go there. Looks amazing.
o yea, he's like a minute off 95, gonna go thru a lot of free beer this weekend
Dave has reached an age where he can learn that sourdough bread isn’t sour tasting 😂
Lol exactly. This calls for a celebration
LOL. I know, this man is the least qualified person on earth to review pizzas or any food, for that matter. And that's why it's hilarious
¿qué?
@@stanvanillo9831 I’m sure there is, but that’s not what sourdough is.
Often it is sour though...
I was there last weekend. Got the regular pie and a cheesesteak. Everybody knows the rules, this was an 8.5 pizza. Unique flavor from the sourdough, bright fresh sauce, quality cheese, great crisp. Only things keeping it from the 9s was the oil added, while good tasting, overpowered a bit of the cheese flavor and while I loved the taste of the crust, it was a tad heavy. Not dense or doughy, just filling? IDK the word. Worth a 1hr drive for sure.
The cheesesteak... hooolleeesheeeeit. Easily, by a mile, the best cheesesteak I've had outside of Philly and top 3 including Philly. Only critique I could muster is the provolone could be a bit more intense/sharp. Otherwise, perfection. 9.8.
MATT IS KILLING IT. great job, sir!!
A man handing out free Piva's. Is a man that has complete confidence in his pizza's. Everybody knows the rules 🍕🍻

That bread on the cheese steak looks amazing.
The bread took the cheesesteak to another level. I need to try that.
Its all about the bread
Clearly that dude is a man of his community ! The food looked amazing !!

I am such a fat kid watching Dave eats makes me smile. this was a great review. dude literally stood by his food.
One of the few times where the owner standing right beside Dave was actually not completely intolerable
Love the high five with the kid, that's fucking amazing. Love you for that man.
One owner who would not go back inside, everybody knows the rules.
I didn't mind it. out of all the owners who did that, he was one of the bearable ones
when you got pizza and cheesesteaks that look as good as those did you can get away with it
@@_CHRlS_ Agreed. I can see why Dave doesn't like it, and most of us here don't like it either, but Matt seemed more like he wanted to be out there to explain his food, how it's cooked, how they make their own bread etc filling in as Dave was eating it. He didn't come across ass hawkish hoping for a better score.
He did ask if it was cool if he cruised out, and postured like "I'll go back in....". And, once Dave understood what he meant he was ok with it. So yeah. It's all good by me.

As someone who lives where Lionshead is brewed, .35 is a very accurate price lol
What are you trying to say that it's not good or something? Oof
I've seen beer like that at like Walgreens or a (reduced price!) shelf at a grocery store. 😂
Selling like single cans of some b.s you never heard of that taste like straight piss.
@@shaunwolfe7665It’s not bad, but it’s 100% a college beer
Lol that's true
When i lived in Clarks Summit (2001-2) i used to drink Lionshead like water. There used to be a woodfire pizza joint at the end of Shady Lane that used to do $8 bar pies or you could get a pie and a 6pack for $10. The beer is better than budwieser products for sure and if you get the bottles you have the puzzles under the cap which was kinda dope.
Dave was in love, he was trying to "make him come so he can see how hard it is!" 😂
Dave, your integrity for what you do is unheralded universally. You are the best.
This guy knows how to run a restaurant. The prices are pretty steep, but considering where it's at, they're probably still cheaper than the competition
Greenwich is an obnoxiously overpriced area.
Check out Zurich A SLICE of pizza and beer was $ 35. Ice cream cone $15
Not a big cheesesteak person but that looks ready to devour.
I actually want that cheesesteak. Most of them are so large and just way too much. That looks super slim and edible without feeling like trash afterwards.

Love that Matt just stands there talking while Dave has his hands full opening the door and doesn't hold it for him
A couple great reviews recently with the Italian sunbather and this dude. Gotta love it.
Both of that looked great, can see that owner knows how to do proper food. Good on him, hope his business thrives !
The pizza guy is Daves doppelganger
That guy was great and he totally reminded me of Donald Sutherland in one of my all-time favorite movies “Kelly’s Heroes”; both that pizza and the Philly cheesesteak looked amazing and if I wasn’t so full from my dinner, I could go for both of those right now!! 😋
I bought the cheesesteak today (not the pizza, that was a cooked score), but OMG the cheesesteak was WELL worth the 9.2 score. Unreal.
Matt is doing a HARD sell and Dave is just fucking with him.... everyone doesn't know the rules

Two amazing reviews in the last week! hell yeah!
Great vibe, Great start to the day
He was in Brooklyn for like 3-4 days.
Got 1 8 score pizza. Day 1 up north, 8.2 and could’ve been higher.
Tbf he did most of the Brooklyn pizza places already. These extra ones in Brooklyn were the mediocre ones that some people overrate cause it their childhood pizza so they give it a higher score in the app.
No shit. He’s always bias to CT. When he was shitting on the pizzas in Italy, he lost all legitimacy as a reviewer
$18 pizza with a "free" beer that adds $4. Everyone knows how they do it.
$22 is pretty average for pizza places like this.
@@chessrust Yeah, I'm half joking. I think a pizza is like $14 or $16 at my local place. I don't live in the ghetto, but I also don't live in like the richest place for the country either. A lot of places are charging $35 these days, which is bonkers.

Omg that cheese steak made me hungry
One Irish guy who owns a pizza shop, everybody knows the rules.
In the realm of pizza reviews, a moment unfolds,
As the pizza owner ponders, the score takes its hold.
An 8.2, a solid rating, an achievement to claim,
But the owner feels awkward, not fully embracing the fame.
He scratches his head, perplexed and unsure,
Why doesn't he see the score's allure?
An 8.2, a mark to be proud of, indeed,
But the greatness eludes him, like a fleeting seed.
With furrowed brow, he contemplates the taste,
The crust, the sauce, the cheese's embrace.
Yet the magnitude of the score fails to sink in,
Leaving him questioning the judgment within.
But let us remind him, with gentle embrace,
That an 8.2 is not a score to erase.
In the realm of pizza, it stands above the rest,
A testament to flavors, a pizza journey blessed.
For an 8.2 holds greatness, a slice to savor,
A culinary creation, leaving no room for waiver.
Each bite, a symphony of flavors so fine,
A pizza experience, worthy of the divine.
So, pizza owner, embrace the 8.2 with pride,
Let go of awkwardness, let doubts subside.
For in the realm of pizza reviews, it's a commendable feat,
An acknowledgment of excellence, a culinary treat.
Let the score be a beacon, guiding your way,
To hone your craft, day by day.
For even in awkwardness, there's a lesson to find,
To celebrate the greatness, in an 8.2 score entwined.
In the realm of one-bite reviews, scores come and go,
But the passion and dedication, they forever bestow.
So, pizza owner, stand tall and embrace,
The greatness of your pizza, with an 8.2's grace.
The Connecticut pizza reviews begin. Godspeed all, see you on the other side.
