@@pelfinho He definitely is, but If Stephano sends both Silence and Burden I think he has a very valid claim to being the current world nr 1. He has done a 9b+ that Adam failed (Perfecto Mundo), and also could've had a 9c claim if he hadn't downgraded Megos' Bibliographie. So doing both of the ground breaking climbs of this generation should at the very least put him in contention with Adam as world nr 1. But this is all hypothetical of course, as of now Adam is still nr 1, but Stephano is without a doubt the clear nr 2.

It's kinda funny how after years of no one even _touching_ this boulder, it seems like a whole bunch of people are suddenly rushing in for the first repeats now, all at the same time
I feel like this was considered very untouchable without the years that NH put into it, but now that there are other V17s it seems more accessible and therefore worth the trip.
A few reasons I can think of: Trees used to trap humidity around the boulder, keeping it from being dry. A lot of those trees were cleared allowing for more dry days. Other V17s have been proposed/sent, giving people the belief that they can do it. Replicas have made it easier to project the boulder without the need for travel/good conditions. Covid has delayed a lot of peoples' traveling in general so maybe some people who would have gone a few years ago waited until now to do it. Also, some people have been trying it, just with not that much press. Toru has been on it for like 4 seasons. Bosi's live streams and Shawn's videos gave it more attention.
I like how Stephano went and tried some hard boulders some videos ago and was like "No, too hard for me but this was fun" And now he's done all the moves on the hardest boulder in the world. Talk about progress damn!
I am learning so much from his try hard, expect nothing attitude. He has made so much progress as a climber just throwing him self at any style catching his interest

And the colors seem so much more natural in this video, unlike the overly dark colors often found in many other videos. Very cool work from your team

I think this video does a great job of displaying just how desperate and difficult some of the moves are. The camera angles make everything look so far.
