I can confirm what you saying M.B.E. that Starburst solo X 12 box is getting low...I got folks asking what I have in the trunk, one or two 15's I just laugh at them and say nah not even close😂
Take it from me when he said the box will come apart. I bought a prefab box for my solo baric 15s and I was happy to be beaten down the block, but those speakers tore that box up 😂😂😂
In 29 years of bumping I've never had a sub fail. In that time I've only had one amp fail. It was only three months old. Never over heated or clipped. The full bridge amps aren't very robust in my opinion. The last four subs I've purchased were all kicker. The ones I've sold as I've upgraded are still going in friends or families trunks.
I'm 100% with you on this trend of reconing woofers. I've been building systems and boxs for over 20 years myself and I've only blown maybe 5 subs in my entire life. Something is wrong if you are blowing a sub or having to recone every couple years or sooner😅
I have a 10inch nvx v2 vcw and it pounds pretty good but I feel like it can pound louder and clearer with one of your boxes how can arrange you making me a box? , btw these subs are beast you should do a video on them in one of your boxes!!
I been looking for any video that explains how to come up with port size. For example if the sub requirements call for 2.5 then you need to build the box bigger because of the port but the port size changes every time you change box size
Hi MB, what are you thoughts on building a powered box, with amplifier installed inside the box? so so just led connections on the sides of the box. What effect would this have on bass sound? I'm wondering if this could still be tuned to 33hz? but would this sound good? I didn't specify sizes, just wondering your thoughts at the moment
One thing you spoke on i totally agree on and always wild to me.. someone will be so proud of something they had to recone🤔.. i understand things happen and age of a sub .. but most likely user error if you have to recone a sub thats under 10 yrs old

Clip city everything full tilt and they think these subwoofers today are bullet proof I don't like tearing up my equipment for nothing
