What great footage. It takes me back to a time in this country when a childhood didn't consist of gadgets and the I want I want attitude. Thank you for this. It removes the horrible anxious feelings that go with this so called modern day society. Back to a time when life was at a walking pace and people were so much nicer to each other.
Superb, especially the final part , Peterborough. We used to watch from the former loading bay underneath Crescent Bridge, or crossover the bridge to River Lane. Alas, the City of Peterborough , like the railway merely a shadow of its former self.
60002 Gateshead A4 never normally asclean as that Gateshead engines normally pretty grimy ,could be ex works ,can anybody tell me where 60535 Hornets Beauty is being turned on turntable ,looks like it could be in Scotland some where ,it’s place of residence ,saw it at New Southgate onLCGB special in the early 60,s are rare cop indeed!
AMAZING. A VISUAL MESSAGE FROM ANOTHER WORLD.

Cliffs to Uddingston cement train with double headed class 33Diesels this film full of memories,
never thought I see Thetford on film

9F Going light engine north through Retford and I think that was another 9F towing a diesel shunter going east towards Worksop ?
Excellent footage there, especially of the A1s around York.
That 05 shunter is bricking it,
Lots of interesting stuff here but it needs locations identifying.
62005 now preserved.
60002 looks a bit clean for a Gateshead engine.
