- In our first video, I want to show you around the Jesko Absolut, which was supposed to be released in Geneva together with the Gemera. The Jesko Absolut is the top speed version of the Jesko, which is the spiritual successor to the Agera RS, and was developed to break the production car land speed record and hit a speed in excess of 500 km/h or 310 mph, surpassing the SSC Tuatara and Bugatti Super Sport 300+. In this video I’m going to take a deeper look at the car, review it and tell you about our predictions for its top speed test.

The presenter needs to relax a bit, he seemed very nervous. I get it as it's their 1st YT video. Also I hoped for a startup sound clip at least. The panning shots at the beginning were choppy I don't know what happened there.
I'm not hating on you here, take these criticisms as points to improve on in the future, cheers.
It's a mockup and not a driveable car, they have a few prototypes but this isn't one of them.
Thanks, frankly, I was nervous as I was speaking in my third language in front of a very expensive car and in front of a camera. As the comment above pointed out, the "car" is a static model so we couldn't show any engine sound. Last but not least: the choppy B-Roll in the beginning. We simply forgot to change the frame rate. Thanks for the feedback!

@@tribe1234 of course they wouldn't allow it, but what if Koenigsegg failed? Then that would further cement Bugatti's record and they'll always be the first to 300 - a milestone that people won't forget any time soon.
Koenigsegg will be covered in the remains of Buggatti at the end of them straight.
That'd be cool, however, I think it's likelier that we get a Koenigsegg for a weekend than VAG allowing KAAB in Ehra-Lessien.

Yeah, I've already calculated it at 312.7 mph, assuming a 10% powertrain loss; 311.4 @11% and 310.2 @12%. :-) The SSC Tuatara, I have my own figures too.

Ive saw a video where Christian Von Koenigseeg himself says that the Jesko would be the fastest car he will ever builts, and he promised the the Jesko would go 330 mph and more , the way he tell it is the slowest it would do would be 330 mph but that it could go more faster

@@allensaunders449The Chiron didn't brake any records and wasn't first to brake 300 mph. Wait for the homologated version of the car to repeat the "record". I'm sure it would be possible to reach 300 mph with an old Agera as well if you didn't care about emissions or durability. VW obviously didn't learn anything from diesel gate. Seams cheating is part of the company dna.

Great video but I don't think that one of the reasons that Koenigsegg will break the wr is because of the autoskin.
Autoskin weighs 5 Kg
weight doesn't impact top speed, only acceleration.
AutoSkin was mentioned in the section about comfort features.

How many Koenigseggs have been produced. Iv heard that it is under 200 but I'm not sure cause there are like 4 sitting there
We are currently at roughly 200. There's about 30 of 80 Regeras left, 125 Jeskos and 300 Gemeras.
@amarjit singh it had 251 on it. The Chassis numbers don't reflect the number of cars built though. Koenigsegg excluded "unlucky" numbers and customers are able to choose the Chassis number to some extent.

Personally not, I love the massive wing which looks really cool on the track but also whenever driving around, and considering you have to pay an almost 1M euro extra for the absolute and you will probably never go over 400 km/p so i think track is more worth it😁👻

@Elias Håkansson yeah okay. You got a point there with the roof. But 1 you don't really need a lot of luggage space as it's not that you wil do shopping in this thing. And no it's not easier to drive on a track as the absolute is made to drive in a straight and the wing helps to turn easily ect. And i mean 1m euro just so you can take 1 more t'shirt 😅

When we filmed this, we were thinking of explaining this figure. However, as the video is just pure talking since the Jesko Absolut is just a static model without interior, we decided to leave it out as it would've been too dry for most of our viewers.
@@GhostSquadron I understand that this is not a "One take" on the Smoking Tire, but if you want to be taken seriously with multi-million dollar hypercars, take some queues from other successful channels and learn how they use 'post production' to "polish" their videos. There is a difference between fluid and dry... It is possible to give a bunch of statistics while also interpreting those statistics without sounding like a teenager (grammatically not literally). It is brave of you to do this in your third language, but again, that just means you have to be triple sure the ideas and information you are trying to communicate are understood by those listening in their 1st language. Otherwise, I'd recommend recording in your 1st language then letting captions translate those words.

Nah. The theoretical top speed is 331, but when they actually do the test, it probably won't. May go slightly past 300, but that's it.
Find long enough straight and I will drive it to the max no problem

that piece of carbon fiber at the front, is impractical when you drive that car to an entrance of a mall where the mall entrance has a decline downward. That piece of fiber at the bottom will impact the decline entrance of the mall. This is the reason other brand such as McLaren or Ferrari doesn't have that piece of carbon fiber
Literally every supercar manufacturer makes their front splitters out of carbon fibre. Some are painted, some aren't but no matter where you look, whether it's a Huracan Evo, F8 Tribute or 765LT - all have carbon front splitters. And front axle lift. I mention that in the video by the way.

Now look at the above Jesko. Show a video of this car driving into a mall where the entrance is a triangular decline.
by the way, speaking of impractical, most people that can afford a car like McLaren 720 is happy with a car of that HP and price range. This is the reason Lambo, Ferrari, and McLaren all have cars in the $220K to $250K price range. A realtor can sell 10 houses at $250K in a month, but she can't move One house at $2.5M in a year. A high HP car even above 700HP is overdone, is way more than what an average person need.
Furthermore, all 3 of the above manufacturers have retractable roof on their spider version, as most owner of these cars are middle age men or older, these men's lower back are NOT design to lift a giant roof into the back of their trunk, once again, totally impractical
@@HappyHopping11 frankly I don't think you have much experience with this type of cars. First of all the LT's front splitter is massive, just because a part of the bumper is painted doesn't mean the car has more clearance. Then there's a thing called front lifts. I've spent quite a few km in various Koenigsegg, some 400km trips even and it works. The clearance is enough if you know what you're doing.
Then to the price range... they clearly sell the cars, they don't target the mass though. Just as Pagani or Bugatti they do well enough with their hypercars. First of all the roof isn't heavy, you can easily lift it yourself and if you look at the Aventador Roadster, Hurray Roadster or 918 Spyder you'll come to find that those have the same roof type, just no storage space in the car. That's impractical.
A targa with an electric roof is heavier, less rigid and a compromise. This isn't.
You're out here arguing about practicality of a hypercar? Driving into malls? These cars aren't made to get groceries man. You say 250k and 700 hp is enough for the average man - in which world do you live? I'm not going to reply any further to the absolutely unrealistic things you complain about.

Neither has the company any experience nor is the car close to work. Considering they released it three (?) years ago and there isn't even a properly working prototype which gets close to their ridiculous claims I don't really count it.

No probably lighter cars more efficient use of hp. Frankly as a track car 800hp. Is about the most you will ever need. I mean road race courses. Will this car be faster around a track then the 690hp Porsche gt2rs or the 800hp senna maybe maybe not .

The big question is though, when will top speeds become irrelevant?,yes, irrelevant?, pointless even, these Hypercars are doing speeds which fifty years ago were done by cars specially built to do them, so 300, 400, even 500mph, where will it stop?
The company founder claims this will be the fastest car they will ever build, partly limited by the mere availability of any roads long, straight, and safe enough to achieve such a speed anywhere on earth.

I find it hard to believe that this will be the fastest Koenigsegg ever. It's in their DNA to go fast. I know Christian himself has said that this will be the fastest but imagine 10-15 even 20 years down the line, they'll surely come back to surprise everyone like they have done since they began their journey. Mark my words, there will surely be a faster Koenigsegg than Jesko Absolut. Will be awesome if it were to be called Koenigsegg Chrisvon or just Von after Christian Von Koenigsegg
