What I love about Koenigsegg is just the way the company presents itself. Even though the cars are sick as hell and expensive too, they still seem down to earth and Christian is someone that I could easily imagine just drinking a beer with while talking about cars.
He's just giving the company a face and he just seems passionate about what he does.

I mean the part when Christian feels the gear shifts, and seems to be directing it like an orchestra, and the v8-engine symphony just falls in line...beautiful. I'm sold!
And did you see how instant the engine response was. I can't find any indication it's turbocharged at all.
@@srinitaaigaura I believe the car has a 20l tank filled with compressed air to feed the engine until the turbo spools up. Pretty neat trick to eliminate turbo lag :D
@@MiixDJ with no flywheel attached meaning it doesn't need that big amount of force to rotate it with a direct-drive to the clutch which bringing u that instantaneous shift. what a marvel of an engineering it is.

Get yourself down to Koenigsegg HQ in Ängelholm, Sweden. I visited a few days ago and they have a Jesko sitting in reception (alongside a full-scale model Gemera). Having said that, full tours are currently off because of COVID, so you might want to delay your visit a few months.
I just love seeing how excited he is to show off what his cars can do.
We HAVE to appreciate and admire and thank Koenigsegg for making a longer "mundane" video with no rapid cuts, music or over the top production. Having a video where the engineering and construction choices are described by one person that really knows the car inside out in a natural and not scripted way is so rare, and SO much better than what most brands think is the "coolest"and "engaging" and "best" way.
Seriously, thank you for makimg a video in this style. It is what nerds want to see and appreciate.

I think that if tech geeks had infinite money, Koenigsegg would be the brand of choice for 99 %. Except that there would be nowhere near enough Koenigseggs. No other manufacturer even comes close in the technological marvel and the way it is presented in informative way.

I may not be a full fan of hypercars but I'd say that this is most authentic, raw, and genuine passionate video I've ever seen especially from the man himself who made this masterpiece, Christian von Koenigsegg!! (sorry if the spelling of his name is incorrect). To witness the man who created this glorious machine and testing it personally including the documentaries and reviews is truly a bliss!!! He's not just your rich luxury/supercar/hypercar owner or even a CEO, but rather a genuine car enthusiast as well. May his passion for car may be passed onto us and be inspired by it especially for many people out there as well!! Sir, you have my absolute respect for this one!!! We may have our own differences or preferences when it comes to style about cars but there will be always a connection to it and that is the same passion, dedication to these machines!! Enjoying their authentic feeling, the connectivity that we have to these pieces of engineering!!! This isn't just a hypercar to me but rather the symbol of our dreams that we turn to a reality. This thing symbolizes the true reason why we love these machines, what makes us captivated. This is the literal answer to "why do we love cars?". Christian has inspired me to create my own hypercar/supercar because why not. I'm taking inspiration from all koenigseggs because they are pieces of art on wheels. I cannot describe in words how humble Christian is,reviewing his cars like a normal person and no salesman games. Most car companies would call this done. That's why Koenigsegg will ultimately win whatever contest they are aiming at, becuase they never stop trying to improve their product.
When owners come back with their cars for servicing, Christian is always eager to put the latest upgrades on them.
most car companies use trickle down tech - so they never put the finances into R&D for their normal consumer vehicles.. Same as VW w/ Bugatti... it takes 5+ years for that tech to come down to the next gen and is not even close to what can be offered

I just remembered I had koenigseggs as Screensavers in my profiles on the school computers throughout primary and high school, to say that it is my dream sports car brand, is an understatement, you trully created a masterpiece, no other car makes my heart race like this.

There was a Agera RS recently brought home to Sweden from Singapore to be re-work on the chassis, engine and replacement of the aero wing from Agera RS wing to the One:1 wing and new paintwork scheme.

Coming soon to the dragstrip! At 1600 hp and 1380 kg kerb weight, I'd say an under 9 sec at 174 mph trap speed could be possible (Regera did 169 mph) . I won't be surprised if the Absolut is as fast as an F1 car at the trap.
It's the half mile where this thing will really destroy every other car. Evija and Nevera will beat it to the 1/4.
I've been following this company for about 15 years, and it's the first time I've seen the main man behind the wheel of one of his amazing creations. He was grinning like a schoolkid.
I have to add, for me, Christian is by far the most exciting and innovating auto engineer of the last 20 years.
I think it was his son doing the camera work. How cool is that.
I love the way Christian introduces the new cars himself, and knows every technical aspect and detail. That's the way to grow a company.

I am by no means a car enthusiast, or spend a lot of time watching videos on supercars at all. I sat here watching the whole video entirely engaged. Christian is an amazing frontfigure for the company, it's so refreshing how personal and knowledgeable he is, listening to him talk about his cars is a delight!

Me neither. I actually prefer classic cars and think that supercars are more like for Arabian princes, kids to hang posters up on their wall, or generally people with no taste. However, I can appreciate the engineering and love that goes into these cars and Christian Koenigsegg is an incredibly likeable guy. And supercars also always push the technological boundaries of what is possible to put into a street car, which is amazing.

It's so mesmerizing listening to the different approaches they took to clutches the transmission etc. Every other manufacturer doesn't really innovate and only does it to follow others for profit. Koenigsegg is the best.
Mr JWW has recently posted a Jesko factory walkthrough that includes the wiring harness and wire making stations... its an incredible watch... highly recommend.

@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks Well, I don't see any other car that can't hit it's top speed because there isn't a plane on Earth for them to hit it, other than the Jesko Absolut.
@@lucanjansen338 Top speed of the Jesko track is what 405kmph est and and the low drag is what 500kmph theoretical. There are numerous cars that match the former on the straights, where it will prove itself is on the track and where the Absolut will prove itself is on the straights.
Loved that you used Sebastian's (Christan Von Koenigsegg's son) song in the beginning and he was filming the track scene, true family business!

This thing shifts like it has a bonafied race sequential gearbox! And that sound! I am in love 😍
Sir did you hear the instant booster when he did the fancy down shift its like the car was already running at full boost from 6 to 3 that sound that accelaration & that shift I shed a tear for all my years of racing & watching races ive never seen a bigpower car down shift like that & get all the booster immediately that car is beautiful 🥲
A sequential cries over the shift time of a 7 clutch light speed transmission.
I really like how the shifter is reminiscent of the older Koenigseggs with downshifting by pushing forwards and up shifting by pushing backwards
And the benefit of that is that the gear level can work like the thrust lever of a jet fighter. Push it forward and you blast off into hyperspace.
It's great but it's literally how most shifters work when you drive them manually O_O

@@CorvetteFTW I think he means its not sequential as you can skip from any gear straight to the perfect gear and rev, like a manual if you know the car./ its also time saving as split second and quite fool proof for a novice. As most people who can afford these cars are sadly not all very good drivers.
