If the lady who owns the property adjacent to the road is watching, remember that the only person you really hurt in being that mad is yourself. It took me years to understand that, and thanks to answered prayers I have a ton of peace and patience and the only thing that riles me is when someone is mistreating someone else.

Totally agree that the property owner was mean. But, one thing that's important to note is that AWD is not 4WD, and so the drivers definitely did not have 4WD vehicles. 4WD vehicles have a low range transfer case, which gives a lot of torque at low speeds, and lock the center differential so that both front and rear wheels are mechanically forced to rotate at the same speed. They might also have lockers on the front/rear diffs for added traction. AWD systems vary vehicle to vehicle, but don't have a center locking diff for traction and instead engage traction control by applying the brake to the wheel that loses traction. It doesn't work near as well. Also, they never have low range transfer cases, and so don't get the extra torque when driving slow. The bottomline is that AWD vehicles should mainly stay on the pavement. If you don't have 4Low, don't go on 4WD trails unless you want to get stuck.

Yes…. Go back into town and get yourself a good room Good pool…. Good food….And good parking…. Just remember to pay for your parking or else you’ll see the black tow truck again! So sad that their vacation was ruined. I vacation in Townsend Tenn at Pioneer Cabins. So peaceful. Just a skip and a jump from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Awesome job again you 2!

I have to wonder...just as Jeff said, they're not happy to have strangers coming and going, not knowing who's doing what, and the property owner must be just a wonderful neighbor... I also wonder, she said she owned one side and her dad owned the other...did they sell the easement to that property owner at the top of the road and they're sorry they sold it maybe? hoping they have a wonderful rest of their trip. Sweet gracious people, being helped by sweet, gracious people.

My Grand Cherokee Overland has several different settings by the twist of a knob that changes how the Differentials & Transfer Case work, 1 setting turns them front & rear into Lockers, additionally it raises the whole frame by air bag suspension accordingly too, it's worth the money.

The issue is you have a road that was built for a residential purpose with people coming and going to their own residence then Gatlinburg and pigeon forge got popular people decided to build cabins and now you have a road that's handling more traffic than it was ever designed to do, and that's why these problems happen. If this is a privately maintained road this problem will never go away because you'll have some neighbors that want to rent cabins and keep the road up and widen it while the other ones who live there won't spend a cent on it. Good luck

i use to be a caretaker for a man whos great uncle (who served in the civil war) owned a peninsula between 2 lakes that had a very narrow piece of water between the end of the peninsula and the land on the other side. the very end of it had around 25 property owners (very tiny lots with tiny summer cabins) , they had sued the great uncle for the right of egress and regress with a road of only 2 RODs wide. they were constantly cutting his fences because they desired to widen the road and he was NOT having any of it. they would prowl around his woods attempting to pick GINSENG and Morel mushrooms and to just walk around like it was their right to do so! at the entrance to the peninsula was a huge sign hung above the road that stated " private road, no public access, road for property owners and their visitors only, no trespassing" the road was maintained 50/50 by my employer and the 25 people at the end. where my house set there was a narrow section where the land was not much wider than the 2 rods.
snowmobilers and ice fishermen were even worse, i had 3 snowmobiles drive through my yard one night coming within 15 feet from my front door, one ice fishermen had his fish house in the bay behind my house and parked his car in my driveway, i had it towed away, when he came off the lake he came through my yard and i was ready for him, when he and his fishing buddy thought they could jump me, i just pulled back my coat to let them know that i was armed, they instantly backed off!
i made large metal signs out of a big metal gas station sign (an antique at the time) painted them hunter orange with big black "no trespassing " in block letters and placed them every 50 feet along the road, one day i saw a snowmobile cross in the narrows, he went to a fish house. he had not only cut the fence but passed right by one of my signs (within 2 feet) i called the DNR and went to the fish house with him following the tracks, he claimed he didnt see a sign and i told him the was a fucking lier!! he could only travel about 5 miles an hour across the area where he crossed so he definitely saw the signs!!
this lady property owner saw this mans car parked on her fathers property, he had NO permission to be on that property!! his renting the cabin allowed him to drive on that road and park at that cabin only! hell, YOU EARN YOUR LIVING TOWING CARS THAT ARE PARKED WHERE THEY SHOULD NOT BE PARKED! I CAME TO THIS VIDEO BECAUSE I WATCHED YOUR VIDEO WHERE YOU TOWED A VAN ABOUT 50 FEET BECAUSE IT WAS PARKED IN SOMEONES PARKING SPOT!
IF I WAS THIS PROPERTY OWNER I WOULD HAVE CHARGED THEM $1,000 FOR THE PROPERTY DAMAGE!!
BY THE WAY THE STORY ABOVE WAS FROM 1987 NEAR ANANDALE, MN , THE 2 LAKES WERE "TWIN LAKE" AND "LAKE SYLVIA" PEOPLE KNEW ME AS JOE BRADSHAW !! I WAS COVERED WITH ARYAN BROTHERHOOD TATTOOS AND HAD BEEN OUT OF PRISON LESS THAN 8 YEARS!!!
IM AN OLD MAN NOW, BUT I STILL DO NOT TAKE CRAP FROM ANYONE AND MY TATTOOS ARE NOT THERE ANY MORE!!

There is no reason for that property owner to be hateful to good people, especially when they are in need of help. I understand having rental property near you, but those kind of people are the ones you don't mind being there. If I lived there I would have driven them up and down the road to help them get their belongings and been happy to do so.

Exactly. If I’d been that neighbor I would have helped get their things. Entitled people like her think she’s perfect and does nothing wrong. She assumed the ones stuck were there because they were reckless. What’s w reckless is the condition of that road. The landlords are at fault.

If that's a 'shared road' by the property owners, it is their responsibility to maintain it. I'm thinking the renters could have taken them to court for any damage to their vehicle(s) and even the tow charges. Shame on her for treating good people like that.
