Had to share that I played on SpellTable with Naestrome last year, and had the best play experience with them and they even shared a lot of tech with me back then. I JUMPED when I saw their name on this video 😁
I have a non-competitive Tameshi landfall deck that is such a blast to play. Opens up a lot of silliness and I could easily see how that translates into a super fun cEDH version.
Agree, I understand it's a difficult balancing act between host and guests, but there were times where I wished Ian would've let Nastrome finish his thoughts first before chiming in. Overall, I'm grateful for Ian and the guests spending their time on doing these deck tech interviews. 🙏
Wow Tameshi is super interesting. I just read „once a turn“ and „sorcery speed“ and thought: Meh. But the combo lines it opens are very refined. Also the Talongates of Madora combo is just super strong.
Pretty sweet to see a new video on tameshi. Especially as I enjoy some funky creature combos, and am getting off selvala cuz rhystic pass is miserable rn.
I know mirran spy and Emry of the loc are 2 more creatures but they have great applications in this build. You can produce infinite mana of all colors with lotus petal. You are already carrying petal, Emry is redundant recursion that you can play for 1 mana. Mirran spy is only as good as the situation so it is the “deadest card”
A minor point in "public speaking" that i genuinely say in a constructive manner: in this video you were going "yeah, thats right" or "uhum" in response to a lot. That generally is not good for the listener. Great video, i loved the list. Some players were doing Tameshi Bloom combo in modern a while back. I wonder if it came from cEdh.
Crazy to say, but I wish this convo with Naestrome was a little longer, as he has the kind of mind and thought process more players should tap into when looking at deck construction and improvement.
Curious about amphibian downpour, since it is a permanent, does storm trigger when you return the card to play? With things like displacer kitten or even tameshi from the yard? From what is being said that is what I am getting but storm’s ruling says it triggers on cast. I am playing a tameshi cEDH list but haven’t been on it so I have yet to come into the interaction.
i tried , it feels limited and not consistent, very hard to get the key pieces out , only way is to stall the game with interaction, but then , eveyone else will have the equal chance to win
NGL this is the most unstructured dech tech/ deck feature I have ever seen. (And this is not the guests fault. His very cool list was just guided through rather poorly by the host. Just a tiny bit of preperation would go a long way here)
I think this is one the best guests to have on the channel. Very informative and articulate
Ive seen him at a few tourneys i was at running it the last couple months. Dude is a good player

Jason is part of my rogues gallery here in Chicago. He's been a huge push for me to improve my own skills. Easily top 10 in the world if you ask me.

Moxfield list? 👀
Decklist? :o
Tameshi is too cool to only play them in cEDH, I would love to see what you cooked up

Played with Jason at The Boil 2. Great guy and a very competent pilot.
Brilliant! Such a sick deck tech!!

I’ve been using this deck currently and find it very good since I’m not a threat in our pod until I begin assembling the wincons.
Glad you did this one!!
Amphibian Downpour is also amazing with Marneus Calgar
The sentiment around Tameshi has changed considerably...!

I would love to see someone try out a Akiri/Silas cedh deck tbh.
Also, are you planning on doing a Boil / Boil redemption tournament analysis? My boi krark-silas won the 96 man redemption tourney and im hype!

There’s also a combo with shrieking drake, defiler of dreams, aetherflux res. Less resilient in this list but it does table the table.
I been saying it since this card was released. As a former zur and aminatou player I knew right away.
Yeeeeeeees. I adore Tameshi
How does counterbalance work in the deck since you don’t run sensei?
The worst thing to sit down against as a tayam player is someone who gave up on Tayam and knows your shenanigans
awesome tech! can we glarb next?
32:20 somebody doesn't watch the Commander Clash Podcast!
Richard is the real criminal!
@@nathanwiens108 that card's price spiked almost immediately after that shark tank video
At the gym watching comedian instead of hitting legs..😅

I thought it was well done on both sides.
