So cool seeing another person brew nashi. There’s actually more than just the reanimate there’s all three of the enchantment ones so you can “draw” them off of nashi hitting. You’re also able to do a doomsday pile with animate dead thoracle and three other cards where you can mill thoracle and get the reanimation spell from him connecting
The samut list the way I understand it as a mono green player is that samut gives haste to the big mana tappers so you don't have to expose them to removal before the time you want to use them. Ashaya quirion ranger and many other pieces make me think this is has a combo line with captain sisay somehow. It is a very interesting take. If you could bring the pilot on the show to talk about this it would be really interesting, because the idea of sammut solves the fear of playing your piece and hoping to untap with it.
I was one of the kinnan players that didn't make the cut I have been messing around with things and I was thinking about taking out endurance as it felt dead a lot of the time for me. What makes it so great I see a lot of people talking highly about it
To hear you mention that Pollywog was on the fence because you catered hands too heavily to it is super reassuring, because I've been feeling the same thing. Cool to hear you talk about Sphinx. Love that people are trying new stuff out.
Saw in half enables loops with endurance or ewit post infinite mana and also has the value interaction with ewit of pay 2B get a card from graveyard and a 1/1 body (don't really know if that's why it's in the list though)
Meanwhile, at my LGS there's a father/son group that always end up in pods together and constantly help each other win. Case in point, last week the son counterspelled a person's Rhystic Study when that person only had one card in hand, but did not counterspell his father's Necropotence cast just before the Rhystic player's turn.
@@fitnesshunter6302 if they had a friend in bracket in pools at the same table one of yall should win and move on. Like that's just homie rules my man.

That dualcaster is actually super spicy in samut. Kiki + dualcaster + emerald charm is an infinite dualcaster (+Haste) set up without those mostly dead duplication spells now. it also doesnt force an ordering. you can just drop a dualcaster into anything and still have it function later.
also legolas's quick reflexes to untap the kiki tin response flash in dualcaster for infinite untaps with kiki and damage from tapping him to make another dualcaster
I'm new to cEDH and trying to navigate through it all. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos because they have been helpful. I am actually trying to build the new Storm, Force of Nature as a cEDH deck. I actually managed to get her secret lair!
I Love Magda, and the magda list is so interesting to me. I am use to alter of the brood or grinsing station as a win con and a more stax aproach. This one has very little to none of that and just loops things like lightning bolt. Impressive and interesting to see where the deck had gone after the ban.
The shorekai was there when I was testing unwinding clock which seemed underwhelming. Kept it there to draw cards during grindy games but overall will be cut for either verity circle or another hate piece.
At first GZ Ian. Just to watch out the Sissay (Chatterfang / Soultrader Line). Just these two on board no Mana available from other sources: Then the minimum I calculate = 17 life. Does someone have a way to do it with less? 3 life to get Sissay out. 5 life tutor Tyvar, Jubilant Brawler, 5 life tutor Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, 1 life activate Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, 1 life + 4 Mana from Selvala, Heart of the Wilds tutor Kinnan, untap Selvala, Heart of the Wilds with Tyvar, 1 life activate Selvala, Heart of the Wilds tutor Emiel the Blessed 3 mana left for blink Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, 1 life to activat Selvala, Heart of the Wilds = infinite Mana . 3+5+5+1+1+1=16 one life for still not die = total of 17. Someone has a better line?
Have you ever thought about Morphling in Kinnan? If you're running enduring vitality and thinking about cryptolith rite it goes infinite and can protect itself. And can be a moderate flying beater or blocker.
I am the Magda pilot and tarnished citadel is only there for warping wail lol 😂 great playing with you maybe I’ll learn to time my removal properly next time lmao
I'm actually competing in a tournament end of the month where the top prize is a judge promo gaea's cradle and the the other top 3 get a gaea's cradle. I'll be running korvold
Wizards pulling stuff like that ban makes Magic more annoying. I did develop a better appreciation for Myr dorks afterwards. Good to know people can still make interesting builds despite WotC's bad decisions..!
Maybe there's something you can do to clear up the weird cracking/popping sound your mic makes when you talk. You voice sounds super smooth otherwise but the cracking noise is kinda annoying if you listen with headphones.
Enduring Vitality is great Ian and now that you're running it, can you spare a moment to hear about our lord and savior HORSESHOE CRAB? This guy Kinnan and EV is infinite simic mana, and you can just flip into both, and if you only have kinnan + Crab you can instant speed tutor EV and win on the stack! EMBRACE THE CRAB IAN
@@ComedIanMTG Because crab is easier to tutor, harder to counter, and has both Agatha Soul Cauldron synergy and MGE synergy (MGE entering as crab is infinite blue with Kinnan). It's also a non-human so now you can now make infinite mana by ONLY activating kinnan because if you hit both crab and EV it's over as soon as it gets to your turn IF crab is summon sick otherwise it's over as soon as kinnan's ability resolves. If you're on EV and kinnan you can endstep Chord for crab and people have that single endstep to interact with you. At first when you cast a harmless crab with nothing but kinnan people won't batch an eye but then every single creature tutor in your deck is a win attempt because EV coming out of anywhere is game over. Having Kinnan floodcaller and EV/Crab is also super deadly because no one knows when you'll instant speed a sorcery tutor and win. CRAB HAS LEGS IAN!!!
Love to see it!! I also pilot a mean kinnan deck. Can only afford one solid Cedh deck at the moment and Kinnan was my BEST shot and doing that. It’s my most expensive deck, with all real cards and no proxies currently. But as you guessed it, NO Gaea’s cradle. At least not yet.
@ComedIanMTG that it does. Doesn't seem the best, tho. To be fair tho I'm not the one jamming tournaments. Lol. Congrats on the win. I've been trying to get to a foil cradle for a while now.

In Magda, Tarnished Citadel and a few other lands are only there to pay for Warping wails colorless cost.

for me I never adore the card but in here it enables a lot of the instant speed looping post-infinite mana

Hi so I just came across this and I love it so much but can you please explain why do you run Valley Floodcaller I just don’t understand why run it?
Long time malcolm kediss player. Love that they are back up there!!
Hell yeah! Well done man! Grats!
Outro song was heat! Anyone know the name of it?

Nice!
I was wondering who had won.
Congrats Ian.

That last sentence seems...out of place?
Kinnan is an old pet deck and I loved that one as my favorite 😊
The background commanders are underexplored. Scramble Reality is a cool card that can be used to turn a nothing background into a splinter twin.
Thanks for the hour of distraction on this totally uneventful day.
a turny with no Ufarm seems crazy to me
What are your thoughts on the new Koma and 7 drop eldrazi that are coming in Foundations? Will they have a home in Kinnan?
@@RustySh4ckelfrd Koma has the most chance of the 2 but realistically neither will likely stick
You going to fishbowl San Diego?
Before watching, i really wanna know if that sphinx did good
Certainly not a card i expected to see after its initial reception way back
I kinda feel like marath + zirda MIGHT be a better combo for naya midrange, but idk if dranith and sentinel are worth it for 6 one-card-combos
Congratulations!
Isn’t Cradle a RL card and they did not do foil printings back then so how did you get a foil cradle?
Judge promos back in the day were the exception. Folks didn't like the loophole so they have since stopped
It’s a judge promo foil
Can you win a tournament without using a top tier deck?

So sad to see tnk not make it to this top 16, wonder if I should hand up that deck, deconstruct it for rog sai or tnt? Already have kinna built too 😢
It won a tournament the week before, tbh I would not be worried about it
@ thanks for the reinforcement bro bro
wait marven gives haste?
KINNAN BEST DECK LET'S GOOOOO
Could’ve been two Gaeas Cradles if you did the Midwest Mash also 😂😜
Maybe there's something you can do to clear up the weird cracking/popping sound your mic makes when you talk. You voice sounds super smooth otherwise but the cracking noise is kinda annoying if you listen with headphones.

depends .. sanctioned events are nit but otherwise depends on the store/event and many times can be
Almost always

So weird rules, but relic of legends doesn't work with kinnan. Kinnan cares about the actual tap symbol being given to the creature.
the relic itself does add 2 :)
