Simply the best instructor out there. Wish I had known to look no further a couple years ago. Do yourself a favor and use this channel often as Jennifer is simply the best instructor out there. She even takes the times to mention that you will be working stitches on the side as well as the corners. Wish I had known that many months ago .... 🙂

Hi Jennifer from Fiber Flux! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your video on how to make a granny square! You're teaching tutorial was perfect for me and how I learn. I have no experience and I literally started yesterday and followed your video pausing and playing back and forth until I understood how to make mine and for a very very beginner it came out good. always room for improvement for me but your tutorial was amazing and I look forward to more that you teach! Thank you very much again!

I have watched many tutorials about the solid granny square and yours is the BEST! I love the way you do the join at the corner so that the join really doesn't show! Many of the others have a chain join going up the middle of the solid section which is really very ugly. Thank you so much for this!

I have to give you a HUGE thank you for this video! I learned to crochet as a preteen, but then lost interest for 40 yrs (+/-) Now as a grandmother I'm trying to refresh myself. I have watched at least 5 different tutorials & had just about resolved myself I'll never be able to make this square, then I thought " Okay, you give it one more try" & I found you. HALLELUJAH! I finally did it!! Why no one else could teach me I don't know, but you did & I thank you. Now I can proceed w/my grandsons afghan. THANK YOU!!

I just looked at 4 different videos and this was the best. Also love your CH3 with stitch which makes invisible. I should have known better since your shawls are always my go to. Autumn skies is favorite. List count of amount I have done. Also the VSTITCH rectangle. Do you find if I do a large square it slants? Some will change direction every other row. I was thinking maybe every 2 or 3 or not at all if it will not slant. What is your opinion? Thanks

Hey Jennifer, compared to other tutorials for the solid granny square, yours does not have the visible seam that is noticed in the middle of one of the sides. I do my best to avoid those ‘appearance of a seam’ , so that the square looks flush. Thanks for this tutorial, I love it.

Thank you for this tutorial. Is there a written pattern for the solid granny square? I'm sorry, but I'm a little confused. Jennifer did a slip stitch to the corner at the end of a couple rounds 2 or 3 times in the pattern, but not every time. I don't remember where to put the slip stitches (to the corner) unless I watch the entire video again. Are these slip stitches critical?
