I upgraded from an S20FE to a S24+ and some of the functions are also available for that model. I got a real WOW moment when you talked about the Dual-Video option. I just remembered it back then as a "selfie" and back camera mode, but THIS changes everything. I am gonna use this also for my sons soccer practice as well using the ultrawide and normal lense to record two videos etc. Thanks for the infos!

Go in camera settings, click Advanced Intelligence Options then change Quality Optimization to Minimum and then turn off Scene Optimizer. That should leave the photo as-is when you took it.
Great video. I did the dual record which is great but it put both recordings on the same video. Did you say that you could also make it so it shoots two separate videos and i could then edit them together later? Also, I can't find the Camera Assistant. Is that not on United States phones?
Hey mate! Yes for dual video you can press the arrow button up the top of the dual video screen and it will save them as separate videos. For Camera Assistant, go to the Galaxy Store and download it and then it will appear in the camera settings!
Hmmm good question. The only way I can imagine this working is if you enable clean preview in hdmi in the camera assistant app (downloadable through Galaxy Store). Then when you plug the phone into a computer and have it mirrored, you can stream the mirrored screen of directors view cleanly. I haven't tried it, but in theory it could work.
It was on the s4. That phone still has the most features ever. There were things on that phone that would still blow people's mind like the ir blaster, touch free control by hovering ur finger, and a barometer and thermometer.
As a S23 Ultra owner, the video camera features with the 5x camera is a major advantage. I like the dual camera mode. Now you are making tempted to get the S24 Ultra, but I will enjoy my S23 Ultra for now. Being in the UK means getting Ultra for the Snapdragon processor, or the Exynos for the standard and plus S24. I hope some of the software features filter down to the S23 Ultra.
It's not quite the same as the new feature. Directors view is limited to FHD and records from the selfie camera and 1 of the rear cameras. Dual video is 4K and allows you to select ANY 2 cameras (including 2 rear) to record from simultaneously
great hints! but one thing is not clear to me. Does the camera use the 50 or 200 mp lenses to optimize resolution according to what you are shooting at even if you maintain the 12mp resolution always on, or do you have to toggle betwenn 50 and 200 to actually take pictures at that resolution? thank you
The lens is chosen according to the zoom level (ultrawide for 0.x, main lens for 1.x and so on) and then you can also choose the resolution each of the lenses will take pictures at. Of course the main sensor, being 200 MP, is the most flexible one, but I think other sensors also offer some other resolutions, such as the 50 MP of the 5x telephoto
I truly appreciate your effort in making your videos so wholesome. I was wondering if you are going to put up another video if these features are going to be in the 23U when 6.1 comes up?
Thanks for showcasing some of these features. The dual camera mode has only been mentioned as being available for the front and rear camera, but I did not know I could select two rear cameras like the iPhone can do via an app. Also the audio monitoring via the ear buds now is a great plus. This short video of yours just opened up a lot of possibilities for me that I wasn't aware of previously.
That is really powerful. But how about overheating? Haven't tested it yet on mine, but I live in a hot climate, and even with a single camera, it gets really warm (as with previous generations)
Great video! Quick question, I just got my S24 ultra. Why does my camera and photos seem to be a downgrade from my S21? They seem more grainy that my 3 year old phone?! Any tips?
It works great. You have to be at least at 15-20cm of the subject for it to activate. The downline is you cannot uses it other than in standard photo mode and at 12MP only.
You forgot to talk about Dolby Vision photos which is one reason i upgraded from my S22 Ultra. And also that HDR10+ videos works on 4K 60fps in Video Pro mode now. Finally this vivid HDR10+ colorspace can be played 4K@60. My dream came true ! The only down-line about Dolby Vision photos is that you can see it's metadata only on HDR displays that are licensed Dolby Vision. (Well the S24 Ultra display is one but if you wanted to show them to your family through TV or Monitor you're in a pinch if it's not DV licensed.) Great video, didn't knew about Camera Assistant. I expect some update with custom zoom shortcuts because yeah the 100x i never uses it. Adding 30-60 would be okay for me. About the DOF mode, it has two purposes. The first one is related to how you fix your phone on a tripod or whatever fixing devices (drones, diving suits etc...). Depending how you fix to it and how you want your adapters and type-c port to be according to the subject and situation, you might have to fix it upside-down which this feature can correct it. The second purpose is much more to take photos of reversed subjects like (documents, phone screens) handled by someone in face of you so you don't need for him/her to turn them around just for you. (The third one would be seeing right through a magnifier but it's creator purpose, not daily use.)
@@therealdeal4492 Only HEVC, VP9 and AV1 codecs have HDR compatibility. You can also convert them from HEVC to AV1 or VP9 with HDR metadata afterwards with handbrake or ffmpeg for better processing with editors that handle those codecs. It's not a fail at all.
A great viedeo. Thank you. I have been a fan of "Dual camera" since Galaxy S5. I still think that the implementation of S5 was better than the current Director's veiw or the new "Dual rec.". Specially, because you could use it for photos as well. But I love that now two different rear cameras can be used. Regarding "Camera sharing": do you have a Samsung Smart monitor which allows to connect to external cameras? Maybe it works with it, too? It would make sense, because the tablets have already an own camera.
In the advert for galaxy book 4 laptops, they mentioned you can use your phone as a webcam. It's interesting that the phone setting you showed just mentiod tablet. I guess we will know more with time.
I just got the screen saver and case yesterday that you show (I got the case without the flipout ring..... same thing otherwise). Insane nice. VERY highly recommend them.
I am wondering if they did something new with the battery bypass feature from the game booster? Is it possible to use it globally on the phone like in dex mode? It could benefit users to turn the phone in the best desktop alternative. Imagine not having the fear to destroy the battery if your phone is plugged in to dex all day long in office...
love your videos, just got my s24 ultra switching from an s20 ultra. Everything is spot on only thing I am disappointed about is the speaker, lacks bass or midrange compared to my s20 ultra.
It won't take long for Apple to update their setup. I'm wondering if it will get to a point where it will automatically pop an option list to get the best picture. That will be cool and not have to go through all the settings. They keep adding more and more screens to adjust it. I won't be eligible for a new phone until middle of next year. By that time the 16 will be out and I'll see which one fits me better. The pen is a cool feature, but can take it or leave it. One less thing to worry about losing.
Love all these new features but would have been great if they bothered making sure the gps actually worked before launching it, the problems are so bad makes you wonder how much testing actually went on during design
Your videos are excellent. I noticed that your display on the s24 ultra is bright and vivid. I'm sure you've seen the hundreds of thousands of people with screenshots of their display looking like an old CRT monitor? Did you do anything to get your screen looking normal or are certain devices coming with a different patch level? Thanks. Just waiting for my orange S24 ultra and and preparing myself.
Unless I missed it, you going into "Camera Assistant" and not mentioning it has to be downloaded first, makes it difficult for those to follow who did not know that.
Does 5x normal landscape video work for you? It doesnt for me. Anything 5x and over will not focus and always stay blur. Portrait orientation works fine. Pro video works fine. Only normal landscape 5x video has this issue
I used to use my Samsung S23 ultra for astrophotography, more so lunar photography, since upgrading to the S24 ultra I'm not so impressed, it can't seem to capture the detail as well and seems too soft, yet over exposed at the same time. I used to be able to capture the craters etc (even if they weren't in depth detail) Do you, or anyone have any recommendations? Thank you!
Actually you can totally remove the Nav bar. Good look >> Nav star >> (enable extra gesture settings. Then go to the phone settings >> Display >> Navigation bar >> and disable (Gesture hint). And the Nav bar should be completely removed

dude your video is so confusing, i could not find camera assisstant then i learned that i have to download it from good lock labs. you must tell which app you are using and from where to access it. so confusing video.
These days you don't need really to use this feature. Capturing at 120fps is way sufficient to divide by 2 (for actual 60fps standard your footage will be 2 times longer). With actual AI interpolation models like RIFE and X4K1000FPS combined you can goes far beyond every camera has done until now without any artifacts. It's not needed anymore to have a battery draining hardware to capture at more than 120fps expect for special uses, they kept 240fps.
Hi everyone, is it worth upgrading my s22ultra to s24ultra? I mean, regarding the cameras, I've heard that s22ultra is better, but unfortunately, I can not decide for the right choice
That's why Androids are so fun!!! Every update makes you go hunt for Easter eggs in the software! Samsung is the Apple of Android. They make great top shelf phones... I'm locked in to the S series. Since S3... But I do have an iPhone 15 Pro Max as a side kick. I just order an S24 Plus for my new daily driver. Upgrading from 21 Ultra. Which has been the best phone ever. But the camera auto focus stopped working consistently, and the phone mic stopped working on calls. So I could only use the Bluetooth. I really want to keep one phone for 5 or 7 years. But they keep getting better after 2 or 3 year😂
I will say. I taken a night if the night star night omg amazing for sure and I notes when videos you can touch through screen and it slow mo so yeah it's all good best thing I ever did with this phone. I highly recommend
I've seen photos on Facebook Samsung groups of S24 Ultra pics, that look really terrible, many reporting quality not good, or is it user related I don't know. My S24 Ultra is arriving Wednesday, I'm worried now the pics won't be as good as my 8 Pro! If not I'll return the phone. I'm particularly interested in the Expert Raw camera, I've seen some amazing pics with that setting. Still a bit worried though, I believe there's a software update from 24th January regarding a heating issue and camera corrections specifically for S24 Ultra, have you had this update yet please and has it solved issues relating to the camera? ❤
I myself have had zero camera issues, and I'm really enjoying the output. Check out my s24 ultra vs. s23 ultra video, and it highlights it well. The rumoured update is apparently on it's way so I will do a video once it's here
I am returning mine, the front view camera's white balance and the quality of my S22 Ultra is waaaay better that I can't stand the ugly quality of the new S24 Ultra. It is a disgrace I had such great hope for the new S24 Ultra! You know, I was thinking why don't the phone companies make it possible for the consumers to select and pick and choose their own type of cameras and RAM and storage, and etc? Just like laptops, and computers that we can customize them? the phones nowadays are as if not better than the computer! Right?

When i switch to 4k 120 fps it's upside down do you know why?
In Camera assistant there is a setting that's called DOF adapter correction! Turn that off
@@techwithbenefits Thank you very much!
So where was the frame from the thumbnail?
Dual recording in new video features. Did you watch the whole video?
Thanks for the reply. Must have skipped it
Unless I missed it, you going into "Camera Assistant" and not mentioning it has to be downloaded first, makes it difficult for those to follow who did not know that.
not jsut samsung...other content creators havent talked about these features and you went in-depth . thanks!
great video with very useful info. That dual recording looks very interesting
Tried the long exposure and gallery crashes.
You can hide the NAVIGATION BAR already with NavStar
After years with an iPhone I switched to the new Sansumg Galaxy s24 ultra and I'm loving it. ❤
Mate! Great video once again :)
Thank you 🙏
Does your display has grey uniformity and grainy problems? More or less visible - 99% of them has some display problems...
Great video! Thanks
Another banger of a review!
Love your a Toon fan up the mags! And I enjoy your videos, it’s hard to get good mobile tech you tube stuff from Australia
Gotta represent my team! Thanks, trying to represent us Australian mobile tech fans!
Keep up the good work. I returned my pre order S23 Ultra. Just not sure about it yet, it arrived today but sent it back.
Does 5x normal landscape video work for you? It doesnt for me. Anything 5x and over will not focus and always stay blur. Portrait orientation works fine. Pro video works fine. Only normal landscape 5x video has this issue
Dude, I love your tech videos but even more when you're in a Newcastle United shirt! Get in Lad! Toon Toon, Black n White Army!
How good is it when worlds collide! Howay the lads!
Noticed some apps run slower on s24 ultra than on my s21 ultra
Can't fault your choice of football top.
I used to use my Samsung S23 ultra for astrophotography, more so lunar photography, since upgrading to the S24 ultra I'm not so impressed, it can't seem to capture the detail as well and seems too soft, yet over exposed at the same time. I used to be able to capture the craters etc (even if they weren't in depth detail)
Do you, or anyone have any recommendations?
Thank you!
Galaxy S24 ultra after 5x zoom image become blurry can you please help
Amazing. Saved video
Actually you can totally remove the Nav bar. Good look >> Nav star >> (enable extra gesture settings. Then go to the phone settings >> Display >> Navigation bar >> and disable (Gesture hint). And the Nav bar should be completely removed
Yes you absolutely can. That change happened literally the day after I published the video 😅
That halo effect 6:59 is still there
Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra ❤❤❤
I watched this video thinking you were going talking about galaxy zfolz5 smh I was looking for a hint as her why my camera on my zfold 5 sucks so badly.
What about the thumbnail and title made you think this was a z fold 5 video 😅
I have multiple Fold 5 videos already on the channel
dude your video is so confusing, i could not find camera assisstant then i learned that i have to download it from good lock labs. you must tell which app you are using and from where to access it. so confusing video.
I absolutely said that Camera Assistant is downloadable from the Galaxy Store.
I had the same idea with dual record, but with my daughter's Tae Kwon do
It's literally going to be perfect for that
Super slow-mo IS in there. If you set slow motion to FHD you have the option to record in 240fps. Much better than before!
I think Daniel is refferring to 720p@960fps.
24MP mode is broken it lowers back to 12MP checking the details
Only on the other cameras. It only works on the main camera
What about zoom everywhere that they talked about?
i would want to record straight in ssd or usb c pendrives in my s23, yeaaah
You do such a great job 👏 in your videos everyone should subscribe to you ❤️🙌⚡️🤙🤙🤙
Bravo Daniel
But they keep getting better after 2 or 3 year😂
Plus the S21 Ultra didnt have the free S Pen with Bluetooth and a place on the phone to put S Pen
So cute you an your son❤😮😊
What camera app is he talking about from Samsung store?
Hey there! It's called Camera Assistant!
The one he said Camera Assistant
If you put a screen protector on the s24 ultra wouldn't you lose the reduced anti reflection on the phone.
There are new protectors from Samsung that use the same special coating. Otherwise yes
The rumoured update is apparently on it's way so I will do a video once it's here
S22 and S23 ULTRAS way better than CRAPPLE
HOW TOTURN ON CAMERA ASSISTANT. NOT SHOWING IN MY S24 ULTRA PHONE
As stated in the video, you download it from the Galaxy Store
I like your toon top! Toonarmy!
I have the Note 20 ultra and S8 Ultra. I mainly use them to watch RUclips. Will the S24 Ultra give me better viewing?! 😊😝
I don't know why but i think that titanium frame actually made the phone durability weaker.
Yeah, it's no better than the aluminium really, it still needs a case
NUFC fan here 🥰
I'm sad that super slomo got ditched. Loved this mode. Happily , I still have my s23U
Didn't hear of that
I am returning mine, the front view camera's white balance and the quality of my S22 Ultra is waaaay better that I can't stand the ugly quality of the new S24 Ultra.
Right?
