Trust me I know ... I'm here using the Pixel 8 Pro and what a big difference. I didn't know how spoiled I was with the options Sammy gives you over Vanilla Droid. Don't get me wrong I do like the simple version of simple but coming from a Sammy there's a lot to miss. 😢😂😢😂
To be fair, iphone does most of this stuff as well. 1. Unlock Hidden Settings In The Gallery: yes, but different 2. Read Deleted WhatsApp Chat: no (not that I know of) 3. Video Call Effects: yes 4. Answer Calls without touching your phone: yes 5. New Way To Copy Text Between Apps: yes 6. Unlock the full potential of the side key: yes, but different 7. Tap the back of the phone to take a Screenshot: yes (double or triple tap) 8. Turn ANY video into a GIF: yes, with a shortcut 9. Unlock Hidden WiFi Settings: no 10. Sign PDF Documents with the S-Pen: no S-pen. zoom in and sign with finger, or use saved signature 11. Call Recorder: no (due to legal reasons) 12. Use apps while on a call: yes 13. Document Scanner: yes Some things work a little differently of course, and some require checking a setting. But most of it is do-able.
6. Side key is limited to only 1 choice from what I can see in iPhone. 10. No S-Pen (I use it). I phone has no real multitasking such as split screen or floating icon (my favorite). Samsung and the rest of Android supports faster charging. Love the Edge Panels in Samsung. You're right though, the iphone has similar functionality but some not as developed or not done at all. Some care about the extreme customizations in Android, some not so much. There are some key functions that Samsung has the iPhone either doesn't have or is lacking functionality that keeps me away from going back to iPhone. I also dislike Apple's greedy business model which reared its head even from the first iPhone (which I owned). My wife has the 15 pro max which she really loves. I tried and didn't like it enough to switch.
You have to keep tapping when Gallery Labs enabled comes up with-1 or -2 or 3, just keep tapping till it comes up enabled with no number next to it. That took me a minute I didn't get that at first. Thank you video very helpful.
@@Behuman0627 OK I just realized what you were asking. So if you tap and hold the text, you can't release the text. You have to use another finger like your thumb to go into whatever app you want to attach the text to. So like I pressed text from the internet without releasing the pressure. I pressed it and it was highlighted. I used my thumb and flipped the bottom of the screen up to access my apps. I tapped my messages app, tapped the contact and then dragged my index finger that had the highlighted text to the text field in messages app and let it go and there it was. I think the problem people are having is they're highlighting the text, then lifting the index finger and letting the text go & using that same finger to go into an app. You can't let the text go. You have to hold it down consistently, use your other finger to go into whatever app you want to use and then drag that text you've been holding onto that word field and then lift index finger off of it. Hope this helps. 🙃
My brother had that phone and when I got this I said it was basically his. They said they would discontinue the Note20 Ultra and then the S23 comes out..ha ha Samsung 😅

My brand new S23 Ultra does not have the Gallery Labs feature. FOUND IT! Turns out you have to keep tapping after you get to -3, then -2, then -1, then it opens.
It's always interesting to me to see the things some people find important on their phones compared to me. Like the gallery stuff. I could absolutely care less about the gallery or anything related to it some obviously use it considerably more than I do.
I find it very helpful. I take a lot of pictures for work and if I'm looking for something I just search for it. Like I was looking for a document the other day so after having a look for a bit I just typed in document and it showed me all the pictures of documents. You can tell it who people are and it will find their faces and group them together in a search query. Just type in beach and it'll find them in your images. It's so cool when you try it out and really helpful.

Tapping intelligent wifi allows connectivity labs, not developer and the options inside that are different. From the labs tab you can go to wifi developer options. Call recording is not an option on my S23 Ultra.

question for copy highlighted text - once i hold the highlighted text, i try using the thumb to swipe up from the bottom to leave the current screen, it will not do it like what you show on your video @4:15 . is there a trick to do this??

@@gultekindemirbas4317 Set the same setting as before first. Close up. Open it again and set the Legacy video seekbar. After that close the app again completely and it should be good to go. In case it doesn't work just restart your phone and try again.
I just recently got this update for my S22, but it took away my up and down scroll for apps, and I have to scroll side to side now. Is there any way to get the up and down back? Love your videos!
depends on what you mean. If you're talking about app menu on Homescreen, then no. Instead Try to group similar apps within by folders, so no need for scrolling anymore. If you mean apps in task manager then install GoodLock and module HomeUp. There you can select different styles, from mini mode (great for one hand) to simple vertical list. In HomeUp you can further change grid size of Homescreen, Homescreen folders or the mentioned app overview as well

That video player mode on filmstrip tweak is a godsend! I've always hated that they switched it down there and I've been frustrated many times trying to search through videos just to have it think I'm trying to move to the next video/photo and pull me out of the video I'm trying to watch. The copy paste feature I demonstrated was introduced with One UI 5.1.1. The S23 Ultra is still on 5.1 so we will have to wait until Samsung comes out with 5.1.1 or One UI 6 for the S23 Ultra.

Subbed Wtf bro. I knew half, but was frickin blown away by the rest. Switches to the Burgundy S22 Ultra and Pixel 7 Pro from my XS Max last year. Am literally blown away by how good Android is. Only qualms is that both the phones have shit OS Updates Support. Fucking 3 & 4 years? Apple has been giving solid 6 years minimum. Had I not dropped my iPhone from the 42nd Floor, I would've recieved OS Updates even till now ig. Glad that Google upped the ante with 7 years. Samsung should follow suit.
Agreed and I second this! Considering how expensive these phones are, we definitely need longer support/update cycles. You know, If I wasnt doing RUclips i'd probably still have my 4 year old Note 10 plus as my main phone.

Hi! Thanks for awesome video) #5, - about copy pasting, - when I copying something like in the video, I can't navigate by using gesture to main screen or another app, so I can't paste it. Just nothing happend, like phone is ignoring gesture. By the way, taping on navigate bar buttons are also ignored while copying. Same also in gallery, - when you copy the object from photo and can't send it by just moving to another app, like on IPhones. But in your video that thing is working as is must to. How did you dod that?
i have note 20 ultra exynos,android 13 and one UI 5.1 and same problem with you, no multi gesture for copy/paste.... also there is no "talk to bixby without wake up" option in bixby settings .
Same here for the copy/pasting. I'm able to move the translucent text away as he showed but I can't make my way to opening another app to paste it into because none of the navigation buttons (recent/home/back) work while I'm holding down the copied text. How is he doing it? It's such a cool feature and I really want to be able to do it. What am I missing?
The level of customization from Samsung is just mind blowing. It makes the iPhone look even "more boring" than "boring."

Agreed and I second this! Considering how expensive these phones are, we definitely need longer support/update cycles. You know, If I wasnt doing RUclips i'd probably still have my 4 year old Note 10 plus as my main phone.

#5, - about copy pasting, - when I copying something like in the video, I can't navigate by using gesture to main screen or another app, so I can't paste it. Just nothing happend, like phone is ignoring gesture. By the way, taping on navigate bar buttons are also ignored while copying.
Same also in gallery, - when you copy the object from photo and can't send it by just moving to another app, like on IPhones. But in your video that thing is working as is must to. How did you dod that?
i have note 20 ultra exynos,android 13 and one UI 5.1 and same problem with you, no multi gesture for copy/paste.... also there is no "talk to bixby without wake up" option in bixby settings .
Same here for the copy/pasting. I'm able to move the translucent text away as he showed but I can't make my way to opening another app to paste it into because none of the navigation buttons (recent/home/back) work while I'm holding down the copied text. How is he doing it? It's such a cool feature and I really want to be able to do it. What am I missing?
