  • Using 1 inch phenolic resin ball, I made a free ball bearing gimbal.

    not sure on the weight thing - i usually want my steadicams as heavy as i can bear. more weight = better stabilization. also: your gimbal looks so much nicer in its metal casing....

    I know this is kinda old but I think that the Onmintrack that you used was just too big. I would consider using the smaller one ref 9101. Just a thought

    Seems like a string with a fishing swivel would work too.
