I have 4 😁a small growing yellow Variabilis, a somewhat larger redish/brownish Variabilis, a common Tenuifolia and a big Chrysantha. The Yellow Variabilis flowers with a mass of pungent smelling flowers and for a long time, the brown one has a faint coconut/custard smell. Chrysantha hasn't flowered yet
hey ynse! we already had the schunkeana division tagged for you to send when we get back. and for sure we will be taking some cuttings of the marginata, so you can have some of that too!
Hi! Have any fragrans of your Maxillarias? I have two. One of them is tenuifolia and the other one is chacoensis. Never bloomed for me yet. But I am really curious to see blooming. Great video, thanks.
hey zoltan ! so the variabilis does have a faint scent...others say theirs have a strong scent. so im not sure if its our culture or the plant. the tunfolia is supposedly also quite fragrant, but as we mentioned we don't have one of those :( good luck on getting yours to bloom! maybe try giving them a bit more light and experiment with dropping temps in the fall. generally ours seem to like to get a bit chilly?? be wary of overgeneralising, tho!!! good luck!
I really like Maxillarias. They are beautiful and fragrant. Thank you for the answer. :) Yes, a little cooler weather can affect the flowering of plants. For sure, they need a lot of light and water. Thank you very much. :)
