I just watched this video and I’m truly impressed!!!! Upgrades, everything you need to fish wherever or whenever!! Sir you did a impressive job, the best I’ve seen done on any pontoon boat!
Sweet boat brother! Brings back great memories. My dad bought a bass buggy 18 back in 1992 when I was a boy. My family wore that thing out! 👍😎. To this day I still can’t stand to fish all day in a bass boat. The bass buggy is so much more comfortable. I’m on the verge of buying one again. You can’t beat them for a fishing boat. Not to big, not to small. Perfect Hope you enjoy the hell out of that thing man! I know you will 👍. Cheers from Kentucky
Very nice boat brother, and enjoyed the video. I plan on one in the near future, and your upgrades have definitely got me thinking on the additions I’ll be making as well. Be blessed, and wishing tight lines!!
Thank you, and I hope yours comes sooner than later. I will be making another video soon about the other upgrades I've made, once the weather let's up.
We just got our 2022 BB18 DLX last labor day after waiting all year for our order to be fulfilled. Man you have yours set up nice good job. I'm going to do a battery charging system and plug in like yours.
Sorry for the late reply, I just got them from decals.com as they are cheap. As we all know, if you look for marine decals, you will be charged 5x times the amount for the same thing.
I owned a project boat prior to this which helped as far as knowing the type of products to use for marine purposes, but I've been very knowledgeable of electronics before that which helped as well.
Outstanding post & vid CH Brought my 2021 18' BB w/75 Merc home yesterday. Will be loading the front w/ a Riptide Terrova 80 for salt water, intercoastal fishing here in Central Fla. Nice rigging job done on yours, looks pro... Those group 31's under the seat are about 75lbs each and add up to another person's weight to carry around! I'm going w/ group 27's (still 100 ah AGM's, but 68lbs ea) w/ a Noco Genius on mine to keep 'em warmed up at nite. I'm told you can use the 12 volt Noco charger on a 24 volt series system as long as there's no load on the batteries while charging. Which Noco did you rig up- the 12v or the expensive 24v? Anyway, crappies are the ONLY good eat'n freshwater I'll eat, but saltwater fish are still my #1 Carry on bro- your way ahead on your rigging! Keep posting
Wow thanks for the feedback and I took all the wires bass pro installed and redone them myself along with all the other additions, the batteries say they're 60lbs a piece but I have the 12v 4 bank running it, i just make sure to unplug my trolling motor before charging. I would love to be where you are, will you be showing progress of your boat?
Nice boat. I just subscribed to your channel to support. I've ordered the sun tracker fishing barge 20 DLX without the fishing package. I'll be glad when it arrives (backordered). I'm looking at videos and trying to determine what package to get. I'll be setting up my youtube channel to video my fishing and hunting.
great looking rig sir! going to bass pro later this evening to check on out. Similar situation with me wanting to fish and wife and small child wanting to go along! thanks for the great video look forward to some updates as you progress.
Great video!!! Quick question.. You said you replaced the plug for your trolling motor. I am doing the same on mine but cant seem to find a box to mount the female side of the plug.. What did you use for yours??
Very nicely done. I have the same boat but 2017. I was looking to install an Ulterra 80lb with auto deploy. I have a question, do you still have the ability to close the front gate with your troller on board? I am worried about having to leave the gate open
Running 4 100ah batteries for the 80lb Minn Kota? How long long can you run? Can I get away with 2 batteries? Also why 80lb vs 55lb? Getting ideas brother, your setup is gold!
I just run 2 dedicated batteries for the 24v setup to trolling motor. (The other 2)1 is for cranking and the other is for accessories (light, radio, etc..). This setup I've used my trolling non stop 12hr straight 1 night and was still on full(according to the battery tester). Now the 80lb vs 55lb question, 1st 24v is better that 12v and 36v is better then both of them in terms of battery life, which also plays into thrust(lbs), so if I need exactly 55lb my trolling would stay on max trying to control my boat and eat my battery along with stress to the trolling motor, so get more than needed (not much just next step will be fine) to use less force and less stress on the capabilities of your equipment which in turns uses less battery power, if that makes sense. Also bring pontoons are highside wind can easily blow them around and that extra power does away with that issue easily 👍🏽Sorry for the long wind.
@@TexasKen yes group 31's but you don't have to go that size, I just wanted total peace of mind out there on the water, being I can kinda lose track of everything being in a place of comfort, I love the water.
Just got my Terrova in. Did you use the existing trolling motor plug? My terrova didn't come with a plug. Only direct battery hookups. Did you order the male end? Also, is the factory plug designed for 12v? Which means I need to rip and rewire everything.
Very nice, what size did you end up getting? They give you a male end with the boat but like you said this is for a 12v hookup, so that when I said I ripped all the wires and plug they have in the boat out amd replace them myself, 1. The wire used (#1 link below), 2. The plug is setup for 12v current flow along with the male end so I ordered a beefier 24v/36v setup for safety, this comes with males and female ends( link #2 below), and tell you what email me and I'll give you my personal # so we can go over everything thing you need and I'll help you through everything you bud. @Jerry c Up front I'm using a 93sv UHD and at the wheel a 73sv UHD, the reason for the being as you said earlier, time and money I got them both during the black friday sale for 500 & 600 dollars, and being they're compatible with livescope it was perfect for me, I myself do not need the huge 12" screens and I used the money I could've for them on the livescope setup, so everything I have came pretty fast. But I'll say this if you want something don't settle for less. 12" would be nice but at some point everyone will need to upgrade🤷🏽♂️, then I may be in a position to go bigger but these screens actually show a better color than the bigger 1's side by side, just smaller but I see them.with no probjust fine.
