    I like that you kept original buttons. Idea for Video is using heat gun to brighten the controls.

    • @twistedfatebuilds
      @twistedfatebuilds  2 года назад

      Thanks buddy, I did you the heatgun method but didn't want to take it too far as it's a fine line between getting the right amount of gloss and colour to a melt disaster 😉 I was more comfortable using a headlight rejuvenation polish which does similar but with more control.

    Great video, went through all the steps on my k75 build, I am using a BEP 3.0 and the BOB-B. For some reason I can't pull RPM or Speed from the plug/play setup. Are you using a BEP 3.0 or Tenent? Thank you

    • @twistedfatebuilds
      @twistedfatebuilds  Год назад

      Thanks Ian, I am using a BEO 3.0 with BOB same as you buddy. Everything was pretty much plug and play and adjusting the settings on the pro to work so not sure what's going on there. Have you checked continuity of your spoed sensor cable all the way and set your wheel circumference and pulses per rotation for speed and tried different filters in the oro settings for rpm?

      @@twistedfatebuilds Thanks for the reply! Went through the harness a bit yesterday and low and behold I have a female connector that I labeled "Ignition Signal" when I redid the harness, only issue now is that I can't find the male connector. Going to jump back into it tomorrow and see if I can find the missing link... literally. Thanks again!

      @@almostordinary_motors That's a good thing 😉 it's the simple things most of the time, hopefully once you trace that up it fixes the issue and the speed signal is a similar thing 🤞

    Hi Scott, I'm in the throws of building my K100 8valve and after watching this video I have a question for you. How did you get the neutral light to come on the motoscope pro if the gear selector switch isn't communicating with the mscope? I'm running the munit blue, breakout box B ( should have bought breakout box A my bad) push button control switches led lights blinkers etc. I'm also running external fuel pump and pressure gauge. I know Mikie fro Piha installed a switch in leu of the OEM gear switch same type as a break lever switch. Any advise would be really helpful thank you. Oh I just painted the frame today tomorrow I'll fit it to the engine and reassemble the front end and then I'm basically ready to begin to delve in the abbis of wiring the bike. Once again thanks Scott.

      Hi John, I did it through using a BEP 3.0 these little boxes plug straight into the OEM lunchbox dash connector then gave all the outputs ready for your aftermarket Speedo and also take care of things like neutral detect start enable, speed sensor amplifier, rpm filter etc. Good little unit for the price. I also have a way you can do it yourself with a few relays but this may be a bit bulky under the tank. Last but defo not least I have a mate that had made a neutral detect start enable solid state board that is about the size of a pack of matches that he sells. So all you do is hook up your gear cables to this and it will give you the signal when in neutral. Hit me up on insta @twistedfate_builds if you want more info or his contact details buddy as it's easier to chat there. Thanks for watching 😉

    Hello Scott, i got a k100 1991 project with motoscope pro, BoxB, BEP3.0, i do know how to connect the neutral signal, but however i have no idea for another gears position, is that TEACH GEAR function required any conditions like RPM or Speed signal to calculate? Thanks again Scott!

    • @twistedfatebuilds
      @twistedfatebuilds  Год назад +1

      Hi buddy, unfortunately motoscope pro cannot determine gears via the OEM signal so the only way is the teach mode that you mentioned. I haven't done it myself to be honest as you need a long stretch of road and I usually know which gear I'm in but if you wanted to it's just a matter of putting the pro in teach and riding in first and pushing the cycle button you installed then hitting it again as you cycle through each gear all the way through them. When you've done this the pro will (guess) which gear you are in by calculating speed and rpm from when you hit the teach setting so it may well be a bit out I would think 🤷 would love to hear how it works if you do hack a crack at it.
      Cheers
      Scott

      hello again Scott! Thanks for your sharing my K got engine started finally, however i got no any speed signal by BEP3.0 with OEM speed sensor, i have already setup the motoscopepro, but still no any function in speed, i believe the OEM sensor works well, is the scopepro have to use the own speed sensor???

    • @twistedfatebuilds
      @twistedfatebuilds  Год назад +1

      @@cmleung8133 Hi again buddy, the OEM sensor can definitely be used through the BEP 3.0 which amplifies the signal for you. I am running mine and have checked against a car and the speed is perfect. Make sure you set your speed pickup pulses to 6 per rotation and wheel circumference on the pro set up which I go through on my video and it should work fine.

    I’m having a lot of trouble getting the Motoscope pro to read speed properly with my 93 K1100 oem speed sensor. Using your settings I’m getting close but speed jumps around to 3 numbers almost like it’s getting 3 signals. Any help would be very appreciated :)

    • @twistedfatebuilds

      Hi Mike, I have had the same issues sporadically. Sometimes it can jump from 60 to 120 😅 I feel it may be induced magnetic interference from other cables or electronic equipment close to the OEM signal cable where the digital Speedo is quick enough to pick it up and the old electronic dial wasn't? I have had it in my mind for a while that next time I have her apart I was going to try a shielded cable from close to the paralever all the way up to the Speedo connection point to see if this eliminates the issue.
      I will post a vid once I do it with the results.

    • @mikebarnett9415
      @mikebarnett9415 2 месяца назад +1

      That would be amazing, I get 3 different speeds(one of them being correctly matched with my gps). I have seen products such a signal boosters from Axel Joost(lunchbox remover) but if a simple shielded cable can fix it I would prefer it. Looking forward to the next video. Thank you

    • @twistedfatebuilds
      @twistedfatebuilds  2 месяца назад

      @@mikebarnett9415 It may be a little while Mike .and its only a hunch as the pickup in the final drive uses magnets that pass it to sense the rotation I think it's magnetic interference from other parts of the electrical system that my be giving these results. If your in a hurry you could google suppressors for this or run a length of shielded cable temporarily and ground the shield to the frame and see what you get. Otherwise I will be trying it soon over our winter here in Aus when I get some free time. 😉

      Hi Kyle, it was painted in Lexus starlight black. It's a deep black that has glass shards in the paint to give a nice metallic look that changes colour due to whatever the source light is. So can flip from grey to green to orange etc

    I bought a motoscope pro used. This one is meant for the BMW R9T. now i notice that i am having problems installing it on my bmw k100 caferacer. I cannot change certain settings. including the rpm signal. I keep getting CAN-BUS in my screen. As far as I know I can't turn this off. I'd love to hear if anyone knows a solution!

    • @twistedfatebuilds
      @twistedfatebuilds  3 года назад

      Hi Mike, All you have to do is go to settings, system, canbus and turn it off. Did you buy a break out box to allow the pro to function with your bike? You will need brakeout box A or B depending on what functions you want.

      @@mikebleeker5137 I'm at work mate so can't remember exactly but sure it's a level four push to get to settings, then to system, then scroll to can bus. Make sure your main screen is on speed or you cannot get into settings.

    • @twistedfatebuilds
      @twistedfatebuilds  3 года назад

      So to confirm Mike, make sure the main screen (big readout) is set to speed. Then hit the cycle button for 4 seconds, when you see set up hit the button 6 times and this will get you to Can Bus then it's a level 2 (2 second push) to get into can bus menu and hit the button untill can bus off appears then a level 4 push to exit 😉 let me know if that works buddy.

      I can't find it anywhere in the menu. I did what you said. I have already tried this several times. when the system was started up earlier, it indicated R9T, which it no longer does. I wonder what could be the cause of this.
