    Nice videos, can you tell me about the little 6 torx on the back of the cluster. Are torx 9 or smaller? Thanks.

    Great video, love the calm and pragmatic approach you take, which is needed with bikes and electrical stuff, so thank you for this, and your other videos.
    It is perfectly timed as I picked up my Motoscope Pro this week after waiting 2-years to get on with fully customising my 2015 RnineT.

    Clusterf**k :) new clocks look much better

      Yeah, I don't disagree. It does look a lot better with clup-ons as the standard cluster sticks out like dog's balls and ruin the profile. Only put this one on because it'll be behind a screen soon with a data logger which would get in the way.

    Useful video! Does the bracket come with the display or did you buy it separately?

    • @thatrninetguy
      @thatrninetguy  3 года назад

      Sold separately unfortunately, mate.

    noticed you have OEM heated grips on the bike. I have read some stories that they don't work after the Motoscope install? To me this doesn't seem right, I would imagine they still work, but don't display on the dash? Have you had any issues after the install with them?

    • @thatrninetguy

      Hey, Wesly. The OEM heated grips work just fine with the Motogadget. And you're right, the only thing is they don't display on the dash.

    Editing magic on the wiring part... how did you figure our which wires went where?

    • @thatrninetguy
      @thatrninetguy  3 года назад +1

      G'day, Heath. There is only one connector. Take the plug out from the back of the original unit and plug it into the Motogadget and that's it - too easy!

      @@thatrninetguy So... it seems that there is a motogadget that is made generically, and one with a plug made for the R Nine T... which wasn't made clear to me before I bought mine, which is the generic one with a bunch of exposed wires and no handy plug.

      @thatrninetguy  3 года назад

      @@blondeambition84 Yep, my Motogadget is specifically made for the R Nine T. But only for the 2014 - 2016 models. Best to contact Motogadget for a possible solution, mate.

    Hi mate, great informative videos.
    My R9T has a Motogadget display which just stopped working today. I checked for voltage on the Supply (red) and IGN (brown) wires to Earth (black), these were okay. The wiring plug was dry and clean. Do you have any ideas why my display has died? I am thinking a Canbus problem?

    • @thatrninetguy
      @thatrninetguy  2 года назад

      G'day, Todd. Ooh, you've got me there. I've never heard of a Motogadget having an issue. Could be a Canbus issue I suppose but how about ahooting the Motogadget guys an email. They may have dealt with a similar issue and offer you a solution.

    Can you still change into your ride modes after installing this? Like if i wanted to put it on sport mode will that still work? Will it indicate that i did

    • @thatrninetguy
      @thatrninetguy  2 года назад +1

      Hey, Spacey. No selectable modes on my model, mate. That must be a later model thing. These plug and play gauges are only for 2014-2016 models.
