@@chellhouston2399 Man. It's a lot! Detangling is so important. back in the 90s when we wore those darn Brandy braids for 12 weeks ( a school term), we all knew taking them out was a full day process. One to take them out and 2 to comb through all of our hair with a fine-toothed comb!!! Lol! Now I still use a seamless fine-toothed come to detangle my one inch sections every 4-6 weeks. I start with fingers and a wide-toothed and a medium toothed seamless comb first and finish with the fine-toothed one.
I learned the hard way that it's best for me to brush my hair out as I'm taking the style down. Especially with braids. Protective styles only really work if you take them out properly. Otherwise you just end up with your hair in a worse spot than it was before you put it in a protective style. In my situation it was braided because that's what works best for my hair type. I start at the ends with a rat tail comb to get the braid out. Then I go through with a detangling brush. I also take a wide comb to get the conditioner all the way through my hair.
I have ultra-fine hair and high density. If I don't actively prevent tangles, breakage and knots at unreal levels. I can't feel everything with my fingers unfortunately so I start with fingers, then wide tooth, then medium tooth, then fine tooth and then the tangle teezer for fine and fragile hair. I do this every 4-6 weeks with my strong protein treatment on damp conditioned hair and then dust my ends. other wise my hair is a mess!
If I might suggest, never comb out natural hair that has just been loosened with a SMALL teeth comb. Using a VERY LARGE teeth comb is better as it doesn't pull out as much hair. My hair is thick and natural, and I learned this the hard way.
My hair is very fine so if I use a very large toothed comb and fingers, I will not get all of the shed hair and knots out. So my detangling starts with fingers, then a wide-toothed seamless comb, then a medium toothed seamless comb and then a fine-toothed seamless comb. I do this every 4-6 weeks along with my strong protein treatment so my hair can take the wear and tear of combing. I also detangle on one-inch sections. Much smaller than the sections she did in this video.
Before braids are out you should spray curl activator oil moisturizer OR use a detangling conditioner to take braids down and comb out. I use TreSemme Luxurious Moisture, yellow label or TreSemme Smooth & Silky blue label. It works.
@@dr.diorcardiologist Yes, it’s wrong. The hair is generally matted closer to the root. It is easier to detangle from the thinner hair at the ends and work your way up. Agreed. That’s what I’m looking for as guy is a beautician who loves what they do and is willing to do on me, for me, cause I don’t want to do it lol and I will pay well for it. But I cannot find that anywhere so far. Everyone wants to charge so much but do a half assed job and it’s so disappointing. Sometimes I just wanna go back to waves because it’s so hard to someone to handle my hair with care, time, and love.
I had medium size braids in for 2 months, I was watching a few RUclips videos on aloe vera treatments and how they can help detangle your hair. So I decided to put someone after I took my braids out I let it sit for about 30 minutes and then try to detangle my hair and OMGGGGGGG!!!!! So much of my hair fell out it was crazy, I've never lost that much hair ever. I'll never put anything in my hair until I comb it out first, maybe a little conditioner but I'm scared.
Please educate me. How long does it take to renew your client's hair? From start to finish. Is it all in one visit? Does it hurt your client's scalp to detangle this much?
I can't figure out his texture because his shrinkage is very minimal and those tangles were very easy to comb out. I have very fine, thin hair with crazy shrinkage. I try to comb my hair once a week (protective styled) and at the end of the week it will have a lot of shedded hair similar to his, just not as much. I think she's doing a great job. I'm very tender headed and I would allow her to detangle my tresses.
Always astounds me how hairdressers don’t know how to comb knotted or matted hair. You always start at the bottom and work your way up..that was you get far less breakage rather than ripping a fine tooth comb through it all. I also agree with other comments to use more conditioner and wide tooth comb.
My hair type is similar to this. And once it is tangled and matted, there is no saving mine. I think even If she would have used a wider tooth comb, or did more hand/finger detangling, they would have still lost that hair. Just my thought. It looked like it was about to start locking up. There was a lot of dead hair in there. Just my thoughts as I have similar hair type.
The kind of brush and comb that you're using to comb out his hair the hair's getting ripped off completely and you should have used a wide-tooth comb to comb his hair to brush it out
I have ultra-fine high-density hair. My hair breaks easily. Trust me his hair is not being ripped off completely. There is no way to get out matting without using a fine toothed comb. I use a seamless fine tooth comb on my hair to detangle every 4-6 weeks. my hair doesn't get ripped out. To start my hair rarely matts because I detangle every week. I start with fingers, then a wide-toothed seamless comb and then a medium tooth seamless comb. Only then on week 4,5 or 6, I will use the fine-tooth combe and the tangle teezer for fine and fragile hair. All that hair that is coming out is shed hair.
Ss Minty Fresh, Yes he is, all the prophecies pointing to the Rapture is happening now....Can't get anyone to listen though....See ya at the wedding supper!
I recently relocated to a new residence where the water quality is shit and my hair and skin has paid the price for it. I have to get a filtered showerhead whenever my tax refund arrives, as well as make a hair appointment with my stylist to get a relaxer/dye job done.
Rotation. Week 1 use moisture shampoo and deep conditioner. Week 2 use light protein shampoo and deep conditioner. Week 3 moisture. week 4 light protein. week 5 moisture. Week 6 clarify and chelate and check that hair is protein and moisture balanced. That's for the hair. For the scalp, if you have a problematic scalp, you need a different regimen. Dandruff, psoriasis, etc or sensitive scalp like me a treatment shampoo, scrub or conditioner
@@mming4351 You're welcome. i'm trying to pass on the knowledge. The sad thing is that none of my black stylists from the 90's until now told ever told me this. I read the curly girl handbook in 2010 and then I read the science of black hair in 2011 and then my white Aveda stylist with straight pink hair told me that my hair needs protein. Then I watched Ateya Rich on RUclips to learn about Aphogee. Then in 2019 my black trichologist and her mixed/bi-racial daughter told me to stop putting raw oils and butters on my scalp and hair and shampoo with sulfates more!! The trichologist also told me that my ultra-fine hair was too fragile to put in cornrows with or without extension hair! My hair had been in cornrows since I was 3 years old! that explains why it never grew past my shoulders!
The music is just right...a funeral for all the shed, broken and torn out hair...sectioning, finger detangling and a wide tooth comb would have done wonders.
She probably did before the shampoo bowl...but honestly a wide-tooth comb will do nothing for matting. It's basically becoming dreadlocks. If you ever see people comb out their dreadlocks, it will be with a fine-toothed comb.

Какие они густые волосы они тонкие и свалялись поэтому как мочалка
He has beautiful hair.
Wow I have never seen natural hair shed like this. It's like it's melting off. That comb😲😲😳😳 Is there a part II for results?
great job!
the braids seem to have been in getting matted pulling hair from the scalp particularly the part or is his hair naturally sparse?
You have to really love what you do to take on this battle. Well done.
I actually lost another handful more than him
Great stylist! Such patience too.
Detangle comb and Detangle Conditioner works good together
Please educate me. How long does it take to renew your client's hair? From start to finish. Is it all in one visit? Does it hurt your client's scalp to detangle this much?
Wow you are blessed with a professional hairdresser she is so good 👍 .
Girl, we need a playlist.
No problem ♥️ it’s Ethiopian old music I’m classic’s by Nadav Haber - the way to Arada
@@hairstylesbyeden1 thank you!
This is one the reasons some stylist charge extra for detangling hair before performing the requested service
Where's the wide tooth comb?
Love the natural hair.. so beautiful n thick...i wish i had thick hair, mines very long fine baby hair..😅😅
Can’t wait for part two Eden you’ve patience!!! Hope all is well.
Thank you Babe. All is good♥️ how are you?
@@hairstylesbyeden1 I’m fine thanks for asking ma’am. 😊
Yass another video from you her scalp must be feeling so much better.
Yes he said it was the best thing and he flew in from Chicago.
Wow amazing I can't wait to visit you for a fabulous hairstyle I love your work. And I apologize I thought it was a lady.
Is he suffering from male pattern balding or stress from the braids? If so, how would one combat it? How long were his 2 braids in?
I admire your dedication and tenacity. If that were my head I'd say shave that $#!& off.
I love that you showed the detangling process!!!
Please don't detangle your hair like that. She did it wrong.
I use a wide tooth comb when my hair got like that .. but I still lost some because that white mess was locking my hair
Yes that will work as well ♥️😘
When they wash and shampoo, notice how they just bare scrub the back
Watching this is very satisfying!🙂
Amharic Instrument. Makes me emotional. Nice one Eden
Me too, wishing I was in Ethiopia right now!
Always astounds me how hairdressers don’t know how to comb knotted or matted hair. You always start at the bottom and work your way up..that was you get far less breakage rather than ripping a fine tooth comb through it all. I also agree with other comments to use more conditioner and wide tooth comb.
Great selection in music and you did that
Thank you so much hun ♥️😘
THIS IS WHY I PRE-POO MY HAIR AFTER BRAID STYLES
I pre-poo every week and detangle because I have a lot of ultra-fine strands that like to interlock with each other. Lol! I'm a loose natural.
Should’ve pre-pooed first.
Detangle then shampoo.
Get a denmin brush work tangles out from end to root.
That is insane amount of hair that he lost
Yesssssss I. Just like
Yes it is
I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO STYLE MY HAIR 🥰
Any time. Thank you so much for your support ♥️
God Bless everyone Jesus is coming back sooner than we think you can turn to God Before it's to late you have free will!

Oh wow…I can feel that scalp massage all the way here in Detroit! Great job!
I'm glad I watched this because this is exactly what I have to do with my Mother's hair! Can't wait to see part 2!😍👍🏼❤
Yeah, I always get the shed hairs out first before I shampoo my hair. If not, it would be a disaster! 😳
Wow! Can't wait for part 2!
❤🤗🌹
Thank you so much beautiful. Part-2 coming soon. ♥️
HAPPY HEALTHY THURSDAY LOVELY EDEN💛⭐👑
Thank you so much beautiful. Healthy hair Thursday indeed ♥️😘
Awesome video..... can't wait to see part 2....
I LOVE watching your videos.
Always start on the ends as work your way upward toward the roots
I recently relocated to a new residence where the water quality is shit and my hair and skin has paid the price for it. I have to get a filtered showerhead whenever my tax refund arrives, as well as make a hair appointment with my stylist to get a relaxer/dye job done.
Thanks for your comment, I now know what I have been going through. I experience the same thing and was just crying about it.
HE KNOW THAT FEELS AND LOOKS HELL OF A GOOD 👌🏼🙌🏼❣
What is better for washing/ taking care of recently detangled curly hair... moisture/deep conditioner or clarifying?
@@marleyhill34 wow, thanks you so much this is very informative
Tan fácil que desenreda el Suave de coco.🤔
Thanks from Brazil, i love your vídeos 🥰
Também sou brasileira louca para comprar esses produtos 😁
If you are a hairdresser you would know to use a wide tooth comb first
She probably did before the shampoo bowl...but honestly a wide-tooth comb will do nothing for matting. It's basically becoming dreadlocks. If you ever see people comb out their dreadlocks, it will be with a fine-toothed comb.
