This cut is very similar to my own ….SO easy! In the humid summer, I let it curl. In the winter, I blow it out. Never takes more than 2 min with a hair dryer. Not all stylists can handle short hair. Love that he got the yellow out of her hair….love that silver!

Anne's new hair style is gorgeous! Made such a difference in her. I've never heard of the "Christmas Tree" method of cutting hair, but it obviously is effective! My hair is extremely thick and coarse, and I cannot find anyone who can cut and style it well; hair stylists get lost in my hair while cutting it, and they cannot even make it look good. It's so wonderful to see someone who has a talent do wonderful work. I would be interested in seeing what kind of style you could achieve for a woman who has had mid-range hairloss. It is difficult to "hide" the thin areas.
Shorter hair on older women often looks better. But it depends, some women can be older and wear longer hair beautiful too. Every time I have gotten a haircut I noticed one thing: the hairstylist can make it look a lot better than the customer at home. I was never able to style my hair like the hair stylist. But I have curly hair that just loves to do what it wants anyways. One day it looks like a poof, another day just like a mass of curls in the wrong places. I try to improvise a little, but I like to stay busy too, so often I do not spend a whole lot of time on it. When I notice a nice little improvement I am happy.
I was lucky enough to find a girl at my local hairdressers who gave me a similar cut but a little longer and clinging around the neck. I feel more pixi-ish now and would never return to long hair. After 60 it never grows the way it used to anyway but all over the place 😂 Pixi up and have fun ladies❤
Just a perfect cut!! !! You are brilliant in that you both listen to the client and to her natural curly hair in the way you both cut and style it. Natural curly hair always has a mind of its own and most stylist don't get that. They will try to cut and force it by pulling it too taught in order to make it lay the way that they want it to and be styled in the way that they imagined and it never works out perfectly because the curly hair is going to do what is going to do every time and it takes a special person to know how to cut naturally curly hair and make it behave beautifully like you have.

Since I was a little girl, I’d go with my mom to the hair dresser and I’d sit and watch while the girls (there weren’t any men back then) in the shop cut, roll, dry & style each client. My hair is extremely thick, curly, straight and wavy. So I usually get it permed. At least it stays the same all over. I also do not have very many white hairs. So lucky. BTW, I am 85.
I'm 67 and blonde, two weeks ago I had the exact same hairstyle. Over the last three years I swapped my long hair for increasingly shorter hair, until a couple of weeks ago, I said to my hairdresser, make it really short and give me a pixie cut. When I left the salon, it looked exactly like this 😊 I wasn't sure about it being so short at first but soon I loved it. The only thing is that my head gets cold now!!! It's so easy to deal with when I am washing it, and it barely needs any brushing when I get up in the morning .
I like my hair often in different lengths too, not always the same length. Depending on the seasons anyways, when I spend more time outside in the summer then short hair is surely appreciated.
I am 67 and blonde also! My hair is long, but it's getting shorter by the day. I've been cutting it a litt le bit everydau. It's so relaxing and I have been pretty happy with the results. Come spring I'll probably get a pixie cut!🤣

No, I agree she absolutely looks younger. She’s lovely to start with but the cut gives her face shape and extenuates her eyes. Her skin tone even looks brighter! It’s all in a good hair cut. I’m 80 my next birthday and I have to let my hair grow long because I can’t afford to go to a stylist (I also don’t have a car anymore). I had a fabulous cut the June before Covid…the salon closed and I haven’t found the stylist anywhere. She was like this man! She cut to my face. I had so many compliments. Where are you?

Just try anyone who is willing to give you the haircut I’ve even had my haircut by a barber, if you’re not happy with it it will grow back. Also look for pictures of hair styles that you like so you’ll have something to show the stylist when you try to explain what you want. I’ve had my pixie cut for some time now and I sometimes change the style but I always keep short.

You have to find an older stylist who will have been trained to razor cut - and ideally a male stylist because they instinctively do what best suits you rather than exactly what you say you want. Trust them - they will not let you down! I have very thick hair and layered razor cuttings - following the natural flow in my hair - works so much better than just cutting.

Wow, watching a Master at work! I love the cut. On June 21, 2023 I got a pixie cut myself. I wasn't sure that I wanted one, but the hairdresser I went to walked through options and she did a very thorough analysis of my hair, and what I wanted to cover up (one ear sticks out, and high forehead with lots of wrinkles) and what I hoped to achieve with the look (hiding thin spots as much as possible). We went through several images of hair cuts and settled on a pixie with somewhat longer top hair that I can use as swooped down bangs. She also showed me how to properly use products to make my hair appear thicker/fuller. I love the cut, it is something I never thought I'd do at this point in my life, although I did wear short hair when I was much younger and didn't have a saggy double chin and jowls! The cut works, and I feel younger, and it does make me look younger, especially since I still color my hair, I do not want to go gray. I'm 71, will be 72 in August.

Besides the exquisite cut and your lovely subdued personality, I particularly loved the camera work. At the end, the viewer often forgets the ‘before’ - so I appreciate that you review it. Also, you don’t try to make the model look dowdy before and then unrecognizably made over afterwards. Her delightful sparkle is there in the ‘before’, yet, with the hair design, you cast a brighter sparkle on her appearance. Bravo! Such a great hair cut! I've been after my stylist to cut my hair shorter and last time I was in, we got it right. When you're no longer 20 or 40 years old, if your hair is not exceptionally thick, it needs cutting to create the look of thicker (younger looking) hair.

Did you have wavy hair like hers?? Razor cuts are most successful on wavy or curly hair. Also: Not too many 21st century hair cutters even know how to do a razor cut. At least not in the USA.

Where in Birmingham, Alabama, USA is an expert hairdresser who uses the razor to cut hair. Most use ✂️, my hair does not lay like I want. I have curly hair like this lady.

Your are right - that was what I thought while watching this video. This lady´s hair is a good basis for nearly every hair style - naturally wavy, but not too curly hair which even does not need a hairdryer or a styling brush to look beautiful. Nevertheless, this talented hairdresser surely would also manage to make the best of every hair type🙂!

It's so wonderful to see someone who has a talent do wonderful work. I would be interested in seeing what kind of style you could achieve for a woman who has had mid-range hairloss. It is difficult to "hide" the thin areas.

Shorter hair on older women often looks better. But it depends, some women can be older and wear longer hair beautiful too. Every time I have gotten a haircut I noticed one thing: the hairstylist can make it look a lot better than the customer at home. I was never able to style my hair like the hair stylist. But I have curly hair that just loves to do what it wants anyways. One day it looks like a poof, another day just like a mass of curls in the wrong places. I try to improvise a little, but I like to stay busy too, so often I do not spend a whole lot of time on it. When I notice a nice little improvement I am happy.

I was lucky enough to find a girl at my local hairdressers who gave me a similar cut but a little longer and clinging around the neck. I feel more pixi-ish now and would never return to long hair. After 60 it never grows the way it used to anyway but all over the place 😂 Pixi up and have fun ladies❤

Just a perfect cut!! !! You are brilliant in that you both listen to the client and to her natural curly hair in the way you both cut and style it. Natural curly hair always has a mind of its own and most stylist don't get that. They will try to cut and force it by pulling it too taught in order to make it lay the way that they want it to and be styled in the way that they imagined and it never works out perfectly because the curly hair is going to do what is going to do every time and it takes a special person to know how to cut naturally curly hair and make it behave beautifully like you have.

I subscribed the first time I saw your video…about 3-4 yrs ago. I just love watching you create your magic on each client. Since I was a little girl, I’d go with my mom to the hair dresser and I’d sit and watch while the girls (there weren’t any men back then) in the shop cut, roll, dry & style each client. My hair is extremely thick, curly, straight and wavy. So I usually get it permed. At least it stays the same all over. I also do not have very many white hairs. So lucky.

I'm 67 and blonde, two weeks ago I had the exact same hairstyle. Over the last three years I swapped my long hair for increasingly shorter hair, until a couple of weeks ago, I said to my hairdresser, make it really short and give me a pixie cut. When I left the salon, it looked exactly like this 😊 I wasn't sure about it being so short at first but soon I loved it. The only thing is that my head gets cold now!!! It's so easy to deal with when I am washing it, and it barely needs any brushing when I get up in the morning .
I like my hair often in different lengths too, not always the same length. Depending on the seasons anyways, when I spend more time outside in the summer then short hair is surely appreciated.
I am doing the opposite. I had a short pixie that I loved, so easy but I was always cold. Now it’s bob length and thinking of a perm??? I’m 60….
I am 67 and blonde also! My hair is long, but it's getting shorter by the day. I've been cutting it a litt le bit everydau. It's so relaxing and I have been pretty happy with the results. Come spring I'll probably get a pixie cut!🤣

Just try anyone who is willing to give you the haircut I’ve even had my haircut by a barber, if you’re not happy with it it will grow back. Also look for pictures of hair styles that you like so you’ll have something to show the stylist when you try to explain what you want. I’ve had my pixie cut for some time now and I sometimes change the style but I always keep short.
Barbers are often better at cutting hair than a hairdresser

Hot damn! That's the hairstyle I've been trying to achieve for 20 years! I wish I could find a stylist like him. I love the silver tone spray, it just took down all that yellowish color and made her hair a brilliant looking silver. Loved the video.
You have to find an older stylist who will have been trained to razor cut - and ideally a male stylist because they instinctively do what best suits you rather than exactly what you say you want. Trust them - they will not let you down! I have very thick hair and layered razor cuttings - following the natural flow in my hair - works so much better than just cutting.

Wow, watching a Master at work! I love the cut. On June 21, 2023 I got a pixie cut myself. I wasn't sure that I wanted one, but the hairdresser I went to walked through options and she did a very thorough analysis of my hair, and what I wanted to cover up (one ear sticks out, and high forehead with lots of wrinkles) and what I hoped to achieve with the look (hiding thin spots as much as possible). We went through several images of hair cuts and settled on a pixie with somewhat longer top hair that I can use as swooped down bangs. She also showed me how to properly use products to make my hair appear thicker/fuller. I love the cut, it is something I never thought I'd do at this point in my life, although I did wear short hair when I was much younger and didn't have a saggy double chin and jowls! The cut works, and I feel younger, and it does make me look younger, especially since I still color my hair, I do not want to go gray. I'm 71, will be 72 in August.

Such a great hair cut! I've been after my stylist to cut my hair shorter and last time I was in, we got it right. When you're no longer 20 or 40 years old, if your hair is not exceptionally thick, it needs cutting to create the look of thicker (younger looking) hair.

Your are right - that was what I thought while watching this video. This lady´s hair is a good basis for nearly every hair style - naturally wavy, but not too curly hair which even does not need a hairdryer or a styling brush to look beautiful. Nevertheless, this talented hairdresser surely would also manage to make the best of every hair type🙂!
