Oh my goodness l!!!!! This is my hair for days!!! I have been wearing it pixie short to avoid dealing with the crown area. Or between cuts I’ll cover it up with a ball cap
Thank you! I have not one, but two more cowlicks in the back of my hair. I have a very similar haircut as yours and finally decided just mousse and a round brush wasn't cutting it, so I bought the product my hairdresser uses to tame those darn cows! I was sick of playing with it and ended up with more of a "helmet head." I always get great haircuts, it's just me. Now that I've added the other product, I do more spiking and messy look and I love it!! I'm 63 and didn't feel like I should do the spike thing, but I'm getting compliments galore! Thanks for your help Sharalee!! Love your hair! BTW...I'm almost totally gray, but my hair is turning really silver around my face. I get asked, "who does your hair?" I say "who cuts it?" and they say, "No. Who does your weave?" Ha! Cracks me up every time! Do they really think I would pay money for that?!! Ha!! I just politely thank them for the compliment! :)
I have impossibly thin and fine hair, and at age 82 it is thinner all the time. I learned about 20+ years ago to dry my hair, then wet it with about four or five palms-full of stale beer and dry it either naturally or with a hairdryer. It adds body without the build up like some products. Believe it or not when I curl it with a curling iron it keeps a curl instead of just drooping flat. Then I add other products as needed. A lot of brushing out, backcombing, hair spray, etc., I usually come out with something that is not helmet looking or two frou-frou. There is a Joan Rivers product that comes in a compact with a brush and you apply it to your scalp in the thin places. The best hairspray I have ever used is called Aerogel and you can go out in the wind and it blows around, it’s not stiff, but it settles back into place nicely.
I am a new subscriber. I am a retired hairdresser who still loves watching hair videos and learning new things. You gave great advice and instruction in this video.
I am so glad I found your videos! I have always had issues with my cowlick and although I have a great hair dresser, my hair only looks good for a few days after my haircut. I never know how to style it properly. I bought a few of the recommended products and am practicing each time after my hair wash! Keep up the good work!
I used to have long hair , after I have diagnosed with hashimoto disease my hair fall, you inspired me to cut my hair Pixie… so happy with my hair and enjoy the way it looks on my face. Never thought I will cut my hair this short. Thanks to you… love you dear and thankful to you
@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates thank you, can you please have a video about the difference hair types between Middle East and Europe/ American hair! I just found your channel,, you have given me so much excellent information. I am a visual learner and your explanation, while styling, has been soooo helpful for me. Thank you, I have subscribed.
I absolutely LOVE THIS CUT!!!! I had this cut for 5, yrs.and loved using the wax but I also used quick change ,bed head and crazy volume. All of these great products were amazing!! Now my hair is to my waist again.
love her hairstyle, have very fine hair and n ver happy with the cuts I get,it looks good only the first day, when my hairstylists does it,how can I show this style to my hairdresser
Such a Great Public Speaker. Plus you solved my problem about a cowlick in the crown area I have several cowlicks and they are so stubborn. Your hair styles are very attractive. Keep bringing us the wonderful Tips & Tutorials. Thanks Again, Madre
Your hair turned out beautiful. The foundation, the haircut helps a lot too. The products are the stars. Thank you for all your hints. p.s. your makeup is great!
Love it! I have always had fine straight hair. But now that I'm 58, I'm also dealing with some balding and I also have a cow lick at my crown. I've never known what products to use to get a lot of volume and what to use to keep curls from falling out. I hair hadn't been cut in 8 mos. So I finally decided to get it cut, but with shorter layers while leaving some length. That alone make a huge difference! Then she showed me how to add volume with products. I'm not a selfie person. But I was last week LOL So, I've learned that products has a lot to do with it, and the cut as well. This morning, I decided to try a recipe for sea salt I found on You Tube. To give my straight hair that beach look, I've missed since I stopped getting my hair permed back in the day. It really works. I also hear that sea salt in the hair can give it texture for curls to cling to. So I'm going to add curl and see it's true 🤔
ty so much for your tips!I just have a couple of other questions for you: I love your hair color so I need to know how to request this same color from my salon. Is it salt and pepper? I never know how to ask but I really want your color. Also, your lipstick is awesome....can you tell me the color?? Please let me know about both of those . Lisa Brogdon
I've noticed they have changed the package of the catwalk. The store I buy it from sold out of the old package and replaced it with a new design on the can. I don't think they discontinue it altogether. Just love your hair. I don't have cowlicks, but your demo still helped in getting volume to me thin straight hair.
Diana, I can relate.I have fine hair as well! It’s easy to sometimes go overboard with the products and then it weighs down my hair… maybe that’s just me!!😀😃 I do hear from a lot of hair stylists that with a short pixie , having fine hair works well with this cut!! 🙂🙂🙂
I lost count of my cowlicks. And I am so old. Thin hair I wish I could just wash it and give it a toss. Forget that. I loved watching you. It is nice to see others with cowlicks.
That was terrific and thank you very much. I’ve always had short hair and I try to let it grow in and I’m very unhappy. You did exactly what I did before and I’m going to get my haircut. Thank you thank you thank you thank you.
You look marvelous, I just had a hair cut, it does not look the way I expected. I will try to copy your technique and see what can of result I’ll end up. Any ways, hair will grow back. 🙏 again. 🌹❤️🦋
I absolutely love all of your hair tutorials, but today was exactly what I needed! It’s a constant struggle to get volume in my cowlick/flat spot in the back of my crown area. Mine is almost exactly like yours, and has a mind of its own most days! I can’t wait to try drying my hair like you illustrated to manipulate the way the hair lays. I will also try rubbing my Enjoy Wax more deeply into the roots to add volume! I love your hair and keep getting mine cut a little shorter each time! Again, thank you for your tutorials!!
Oh yay!! I'm SO happy to know you picked up some new tips to help with that stubborn cowlick area! Thank you so much for faithfully watching, sweet lady💗
My short hair that I just decided to try has me in misery. I can't even keep a part in place. I looks terrible and it goes wherever it wants to go no matter what I put in it. Next time I look at it it's back where it's ugly self wants to go. Can't wait until it grows out.
Hi! I usually wear my hair in your style, and I have now grown it out to donate for cancer wigs. I hate long hair. Can not wait to cut it ! My hair grows fast. Thank God ! I think the Australian products have a great root lift product. I hate when they discontinue a great product !
Very beautiful sweet friend! I just got my haircut yesterday. She got it a little short at the crown. So this video came at a perfect time. Your hair is always so cute. Thank you so much for sharing your videos.
I took this video clip and showed it to my hairdresser with the knowledge that I have such a hairstyle, but unfortunately I only succeeded in a similar way,but I thank you for all the help I provided in the clip, and I like your clips so on.
Fortunately, you have a really good haircut. That’s number one! I’m still looking for someone who can cut my hair like that. Not much you can do with a bad haircut. Yours is adorable.
Thank you so much. I have a cowlick in almost the same spot. This tutorial has really shown me how to work with my hair to get it to look good in the cowlick area. I have thick very straight gray hair. Praying I can get my hair to look better. I love the Enjoy wax, but I have been using to much.
What color is your hair it's gorgeous I like the dark on the bottom and underneath in the back is there a wig that I could get that looks like your hair I'm afraid my face is a little too full too drastically cut it right now but it looks gorgeous on you
I don't really think that it's by chance that everybody seems to have that cowlick at the crown and what volume at the top it's unnatural for your hair to be like that at the crown we're working against nature I like it better myself my mother my daughters and myself we all say hey we need to fix the whole in your head and someone will pick at the other person's hair right there so I think it's more mother nature look at guys you know they can wear their hair flat or whatever
This is the best tutorial I've seen. I have a pixie and very fine hair and it's difficult to get it to stand up and stay up. Rubbing it into the scalp makes total sense! Thanks for the fantastic tips!
I have cut my hair just like yours love it and get so many compliments daily! I moved to Phoenix and have not found anyone able to cut it right yet. I’m so discouraged because if it’s cut right it’s the best hair cut in the world. Now if I just looked like you I would have it made. You are so beautiful I love watching your videos.
Very cute. I like your videos! Can't believe you don't have a pull-out extension mirror, to see the back while you're styling. I've had one since the 80s, wouldn't be without it! I cut my own hair, too, when it's short, so it's a lifesaver. If I go to a cut like yours, however, I'll be finding a stylist!
Glad you found this helpful and hope the products work well for you too! 💞 The eyeshadow palette I used was one from BareMinerals and I did a tutorial on this look...I'll link it here: ruclips.net/video/4dufdJI5bds/видео.html
I have very fine hair and I Findley got that out of my mind an followed her advice...omg it works I promise...my hair is baby fine the joy wax is key use it just like instructed..
I love, love, love your hair style‼️🙏I think the hair cut makes a lot of difference also.. praying I can get your look 🙏‼️thank you for the great tips and products ‼️‼️
Thank you for your tutorials on Pixies. I enjoy all of them.I just recently had my hair cut in a pixie. Unfortunately, the stylist did not know how to work with cowlick. I now have many bald spots in the back. I’ll be trying all your tricks of the trade. Fortunately, hair does grow back.
I have soft fine hair and always looking for ways to give it volume. I tried enjoy wax and absolutely love it , it give me volume without it gunking up my hair. It does not accumulate on my hair and cause me to shampoo more often. Thank you thank you thank you.
You have fabulous hair and you are so beautiful that you would look good no matter what you do to it. I did pick up some pointers from our video. Thanks for sharing. Going to try some of the products.
so great...you're a great instructor. I actually brought your picture to my last haircut....didn't really turn out as stylish. I have super think hair and not a lot of it. I'm going to try again, I want a edgy style -- not an old lady short haircut. Will try these products , maybe it will help.
Super video, Sharalee!!! I think my cow lick is close to where yours is. If I got a perm I would have to remind them not to emphasize it. Say it ain't so about the Catwalk Root Boost!! I get it from Amazon because Walmart stopped carrying it. Guess I'll have to stock up or find the Bed Head Manipulator. I'll be trying these drying techniques and continue to practice with the Enjoy Dry Wax. Maybe I need to warm it up more. Thank you as always, my sweet friend. Take care and have a nice weekend!!!
Your highlight also helps with making your hair have more texture, I am just saying this so people don’t get frustrated if they can’t get the same look such as myself!
Omg. My cowlick parts sideways down the back! I did find a trick to tame it. I started sleeping with a super wide headband, with the wider end around the back of my head. It honestly made a huge difference, where I had this terrible cowlick for decades. It is why I cut off my long hair for a pixie. Now I got it controlled. Try it!
Love the video however, what does someone who has the cow lick, very fine hair but a lot of it and breaks out every time they use ANYTHING other than medicated shampoo on their hair. I break out in a case of Seborrhea dermatitis. Are there any products that could be used without the nasty break out that happens even if I only put a small amount of root lift, hair spray, conditioner, whatever.
I need to go back and watch your clips. I had covid last yr. And my hair started falling out. Use to be thick and had body. Now it is thinning and flat. I need a short style and volume but don't know what products would be easy to use. I also can't lift but one arm , I can only able to lift one arm. So I am working one handed
Thanks for the video. My cowlick is similar to where yours is. I have the added problem of it going in practically a circle up there. I wear my hair pretty short so I can get it spiked up. I have both the root boost and dry wax but haven't mastered either. This video has helped to know how to use those products.
Truly needed this and just wish hairdressers in my area could understand just what I mean and use things like this and help with volume in this way. Glad you have given this tutorial as it will help. Love your style!
Beauticians are like doctors they don't listen to what you say, hardly any of them know how to give a decent haircut each person has different hair and they should know by the texture what they can do to make it look fuller, I've given up, if I had the same tools as this lady I still would have s***** hair
I’m at the point of asking to see their portfolio before I’ll let them cut my hair. I doubt they’ll even have one. 😂 Plus, I like to know how long they’ve been styling hair. The younger generation doesn’t know how to style hair, they’re trained to style and cut men’s hair in under 20 minutes. Drives me crazy!
Love the cut and styling, but, what shampoo do you use to get all that product cleaned out of your hair? I also use the dry wax and i find it difficult to get it out of my fine hair.
Sharalee, I just love your hairstyle and you’re makeup is always absolutely perfect. About how long is the back spiky part of your hair? I showed a picture to my hairdresser and she nearly scalped me. 😮
Just another great hair tutorial. Your haircut is simply to die for. I love it! Two great things you have going for your hair is a great hairstylist who is amazing and the your weave as this always adds a lot of volume to the hair. Simply stunning.
Got my haircut, butchered, and the owner came over and said there wasn’t anything she could do to fix it. Wore a hat for 3 months (which was over the holidays last year). I really want short hair, but need to find a stylist i trust. Yours is perfect!
I have very fine hair...what do you recommend?? I have been following your tutorials but sometimes Enjoy doesn't work well with my fine hair!! Any suggestions?? I Love your hairstyle and Love following you!! Also what is the kind of lipstick and shade do you use?? Thanks Shirley!
My other favorite pomade at the moment is the Bed Head Manipulator Matte. It's a much lighter texture but doesn't get greasy and has a decent hold. On my lips in this video, I'm wearing the Wayne Goss Essential "Sepia" Lip Pencil and a combination of MAC "Whirl" & "Creme Cup" Lipsticks😘
I so wish there was a way to style an undercut pixie when you have silver hair. Every time I get to where I think it will work the front part gets discolored due to the flat iron and you really need that part to be done. Sharalee, have you any suggestions?
I Absolutely love your hair style. I have a calic pretty much the same spot as you. I have to ask you though, do you have thicker hair? My hair is getting super thin like my mothers. You did a great job explaining everything‼️‼️ Wanted to also ask you if you were a hair stylist? Great job❤
Still trying to get the cut right for this look...can you tell me on a day to day basis, do you wet your hair and add more product? What do you do to get the look when its not hair washing day?
Just discovered your awesome tutorials and will try some of the techniques. Hopefully they will help my baby fine, not so thick hair. I use to use the Catwalk products and still have some around. I thought the Great Manipulator was awesome. Thank you.
I love your hairstyle. it's very beautiful and looks absolutely amazing on you, especially how it flaunts how pretty your face is. I love your attention to detail in explaining things and also I noticed you're a natural at posing like a model. Do you do any modelling?
Excellent and very helpful!! I style my hair the same way you do, and I also have a cow lick that goes the same direction as yours does, so this was super helpful to me!! Thank you beautiful lady and have a blessed day!! 🌹🥰🙏🏻❤️
So good to see videos on short hair. So many are about long hair.
I’m so envious of your thick hair. Mine is short but fine and thin!! Thanks for the tips!!
Mine too. It creates SO much misery!
When one has good hair like she does, it's easy to fix. It's those of us with fine hair that have the challenge.
Yea
True. My hair is thin and needs volume. I never get it quite like I want it. I make do.
First you need a good cut.
Yep, mine is like silk. It would never stand up like hers.
Right?!!
Your hairstyle is absolutely perfect.

What about a lifting spray please thanks 👍♥️🌹
Thank you for your tutorials on Pixies. I enjoy all of them.I just recently had my hair cut in a pixie. Unfortunately, the stylist did not know how to work with cowlick. I now have many bald spots in the back. I’ll be trying all your tricks of the trade. Fortunately, hair does grow back.
I have soft fine hair and always looking for ways to give it volume. I tried enjoy wax and absolutely love it , it give me volume without it gunking up my hair. It does not accumulate on my hair and cause me to shampoo more often. Thank you thank you thank you.
Wonderful! So happy to hear that!😍
You have fabulous hair and you are so beautiful that you would look good no matter what you do to it. I did pick up some pointers from our video. Thanks for sharing. Going to try some of the products.
Love your videos, but I'd love to know what hair dryer settings you're using.
I have also used a manipulate d:fi...use very little and apply as Sherilee does joy wax
Starts with a good cut.
Good hair+ good cut, and you style or not style becomes just an option
Me, I love spikes everywhere! Your hair looks so cute, I love the color too!
so great...you're a great instructor.
You have thick hair which makes a big difference in the outcome. I love your hair.
Your highlight also helps with making your hair have more texture, I am just saying this so people don’t get frustrated if they can’t get the same look such as myself!
What kind of skin cream or makeup do you use. your skin is beautiful 😍
I agree. We have thin fine hair with cowlick
Please list the name of the spray on hair stuff you used. could not read on can.
It's Catwalk Root Boost and it is listed below...if you click "more", it will show the products and links😘
Love the video! What is the name of the product you used in the beginning?
Thanks for the video. My cowlick is similar to where yours is. I have the added problem of it going in practically a circle up there. I wear my hair pretty short so I can get it spiked up. I have both the root boost and dry wax but haven't mastered either. This video has helped to know how to use those products.
You are so talented! Thank you for these tips! I am going to master Enjoy wax if it's the last thing I do! 😂🤗🥰
You can do it, I know you can!!🥰💗
Me too! I just got mine and I'm at a loss🤷♀️
@@ursulamullikin4723 It can be frustrating.
@@mollypaintscows Agree! It would be a good idea. They should have to have a card of their license posted right near their mirror with picture ID!
Pls tell me about the lipstick you have on. Thanks.
The more I use my Enjoy Dry Wax the more I like it. Thanks for such a informative tutorial.
You are so pretty! I love your hair!
Your hair looks amazing 👍♥️🌹
Love the cut and styling, but, what shampoo do you use to get all that product cleaned out of your hair? I also use the dry wax and i find it difficult to get it out of my fine hair.
I'll link a recent video I did on tips to help😘

Sharalee, I just love your hairstyle and you’re makeup is always absolutely perfect. About how long is the back spiky part of your hair? I showed a picture to my hairdresser and she nearly scalped me. 😮
Sharalee, did I miss the shine product you were trying today? Love your videos-great hair, and your make it all so easy and doable. Thank you!
Sorry, I missed the Malibu Blonde part.
So glad you are enjoying my channel!❤️
Just another great hair tutorial. Your haircut is simply to die for. I love it! Two great things you have going for your hair is a great hairstylist who is amazing and the your weave as this always adds a lot of volume to the hair. Simply stunning.
You are a sweetheart, thank you!!♥️🥰 You're right, my hairstylist's amazing cutting and coloring skills make all the difference!!
Got my haircut, butchered, and the owner came over and said there wasn’t anything she could do to fix it. Wore a hat for 3 months (which was over the holidays last year). I really want short hair, but need to find a stylist i trust. Yours is perfect!
As usual, very great video. I have cowlicks much like yours. I also have almost the same haircut
New subscriber. You look so good in this style actually I think you would look good in any style you are so good looking you are blessed
I love your style
What are the hair products used?
Just watching your videos has helped me so much with my hair
A great tutorial again and I love the eye shadow colours. Could you do a video on how you created this look please?
I have very fine hair...what do you recommend?? I have been following your tutorials but sometimes Enjoy doesn't work well with my fine hair!! Any suggestions?? I Love your hairstyle and Love following you!! Also what is the kind of lipstick and shade do you use?? Thanks Shirley!
Yes, absolutely! Thank you for the request💖
You are just one carazzy lady. So cute and funny. Love your hair ❤🎉😂
Girl.... Your biceps 💪❤️❤️❤️
😘
Just discovered your awesome tutorials and will try some of the techniques. Hopefully they will help my baby fine, not so thick hair. I use to use the Catwalk products and still have some around. I thought the Great Manipulator was awesome. Thank you.
Beautiful as always! I have my hair cut like yours but my hair is curly so I have to use a round brush when it starts growing out.
I love your hair! Also what brand of makeup and lipstick do you use?
I love your hairstyle. it's very beautiful and looks absolutely amazing on you, especially how it flaunts how pretty your face is. I love your attention to detail in explaining things and also I noticed you're a natural at posing like a model. Do you do any modelling?
Excellent and very helpful!! I style my hair the same way you do, and I also have a cow lick that goes the same direction as yours does, so this was super helpful to me!! Thank you beautiful lady and have a blessed day!! 🌹🥰🙏🏻❤️
Wonderful!! So glad it was helpful♥️🥰 Blessings, sweet lady!!
What a precious style !
