I’m so glad you addressed this issue. Many women don’t realize how often they need to get trims if they have gone short. A half inch of growth can really modify the style and also make it hard to maintain the style. Thanks for all your good tips!
I agree. I get my pixie trimmed every 4 weeks. A friend of mine gets her's trimmed every 3 weeks. And ask for lots of texture, blunt cuts are not a pixie cut's friend. Also using the right hair products for your hair and what style you are going for. That's my 2 cents 😊. I've had my hair cut in a pixie of one form or another for the last 20 years. Long hair is not my friend, It drags my face down, which makes me look older and frumpy.
Thank you Sharalee for all your styling tips! I too have a pixie cut and have cowlicks. I also use the Zuvi and the Enjoy dry wax. I love both of them!
I think the thing I like best about your stylist, besides being talented, is how knowledgeable she is. Now, she may not be knowledgeable, but she convinces me that she is, in fact and deed, very wise. That quality would make me comfortable putting my hair in her hands. 🥰
Master Sharalee at her finest!! 😁 Even if I have worn my hair short for many years, I have learned so much from you. From styling my hair to using the right products (I have fine hair and ❤ Enjoy Dry Wax), every video made with the right amount of details has been a blessing. Thank you and Kristen for sharing your talent!! 😊🫶🏻❤️
Adorable as always! Your style in the shots with Kristin was so cute with the bangs. Hope we get to see that salon visit! Merry Christmas to you and Pastor Guy!🎄😘Roberta
You are the cutest Little Girl I have ever seen. And you look great in a Pixie haircut! I am amazed at how really good you are at styling your hair and doing your makeup as well. Thanks for sharing it all with us. Wishing you and all you Love, a very Merry CHRISTmas and a Blessed and Prosperous New Year!❤ 👍 🙏
Hi Sharalee, thanks for the video. Your shaved pixie cut is always on the cutting edge with Kristen's hands. And the hairstyle with the products at home turned out great. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Great step by step. It is always good if you have the same hair dresser all the time. I haven’t found one yet. Take care and God bless. Merry Christmas.
Wonderful video! Great explanations for sure. I DO use almost everything you recommend and love em all! Thanks again and hope you have a very Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 ❤️
My short pixie is a challenge due to my thinning hair (inherited from both sides of family), especially receding by left temple. I struggle to find the right combination of products for my situation, and love getting hints from you. Am going to try the Bed Head Queen for a day thickening spray. I have other products by them that work well for me. Thanks for sharing your expertise in styling with us.
Oh and by the way a couple of months ago I went from shoulder length hair to a pixie cut after watching one of your videos and folks say I look younger now so not to shabby for a 71 year old. So now maybe for 2025 I should wear makeup and blow dry my hair. Heehee
Great tips, great products , I will add if your hair is a little wavy or has some natural curl it might not spike as well because of its natural bend, you could use a straightener to help it but it might not spike as it begins to bend again or gets longer. Your stylist could help with that.
I have fine soft hair and I use a mousse gel extra firm by AG and there Dry Lift Texture volume paste or sometimes the Bedhead matte and the BeadHead Hard Head hair spray , that’s the only thing that will keep my hair it place and not go flat. Thanks for the video.
All your tips are always helpful 👍. Love your pixie cut. I have a couple cowlicks also in the back crown area. Yuk. They’re tricky to control. I watched closely how you dried your hair Drying in the reverse direction on the top area is what I need to do Thanks for that tip I learned a lot of good ideas in your video. Thanks a bunch always love hair tutorials 😍💗🎄💗😍
Oh yeah, I don't dare allow my hair to stay in a towel very long b/c I too have cowlicks, several...it's easier for me to keep the hair from getting funky. Since I went to a layered bob from a non-layered I find it harder to get the back to look nice..I find it works best for me to go for a messy or 'chunky' look back there.
I'm sorry you didn't quite get the cut you wanted! If I were you, I'd take some scissors and cut up into the bangs vertically to break up the straight line😘
I have to get my pixie trimmed every 3 weeks. My hair gets full/bulky pretty quickly between cuts, so I’ve come to realize that 3 weeks is the magic number. Anything beyond that and styling becomes more and more difficult.
I had a pixie back in 2017, and loved it, I am wanting one again. But I don't live near the old stylist, please ask your stylist if a female barber would be a good choice if you can't find someone who feels comfortable with this pixie.
Hi Sharalee! I just got my bob cut back into a pixie. I go back and forth. Lol! When it was a bob I was able to wash my hair every other day. How often do you wash your hair? Does it depend on how much product you use?
It's so difficult to find anyone who does a great pixie haircut anymore where I live (Wisconsin). I have lot of hair that seems to mushroom up into a boxy, helmet look very quickly and needs point cutting and texturizing. I'd grow it out but it's also almost impossible to grow out without looking like a wild, unkempt mess.
Hi Sharalee! I have already been able to tell that I got a really bad cut for the fourth time! Now I’m on a mission to find the right stylist. So, I have a favor to ask you - is there anyway that you can find out if your stylist networks with any other stylists that live in the Surprise, Peoria, or Glendale Arizona area? Is there any way to help find a stylist? I have taken pics of your hair to show her and she’s got the problem of not being able to speak up and say that she doesn’t know how to do it, instead she just grabs the clippers and shaves it too short! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

@ Completely agree, Cindy. Texture is the pixie cut’s best friend!
The pixie suits you very well. You are very talented in styling it!
Thank you so much😘💖

Me too! Love them both!

I wear a pixie cut. And wanted my bangs choppy looking and the ended up straight not choppy at all 😢
Mine too! 😮

Hello beautiful Sharalee 😍
Sharalee, how long would you say your crown is? I love the way it spikes up. Need to tell my hair dresser. Love your hair!
Your stylist cuts your hair so beautifully that styling is almost A BREEZE
Hello can you do a tutorial on your makeup for this video???❤❤
Yes!! Already filmed it...coming soon!🥰
