All these tips on highlighting, shadowing and blending are extremely valuable. I am 73 and have been using the NuFace facial toning device for 4 years now. I find in invaluable beyond estimation in lifting the browbone area. I use it twice a week on my neck, cheeks/ jowl area and finally eye/browbone/eyebrow and the “11” between brows. It definitely works. It lifts!…and opens my eyelid area. Thank you Sharalee for everything you share. I’ve learned so much from you and you’re a blessing beyond measure.
Definitely the most truly effective technique of “lifting/opening of hooded eyes” I have seen! And it looks great! Thx for sharing. I do confess I don’t like to spend a lot of time or effort on makeup, so I don’t know if I will actually do it, but I very much like your entire process.
I am catching up on your wonderful videos after a week at my Moms favorite beach, Holden Beach NC.... In her arrangements, after her death, she had wanted all of us, my 3 sisters and as many of the grandchildren to spend a week and do a service in her honor on the beach! We did... it was beautiful and emotional! So, coming back and curling up and watching you is just what I need! Great tips!! Love and blessings to you my friend..
Happy Sunday Sharalee, I will be doing my eyeshadows just as o you demonstrated as I too have hooded eyelids, with my Rt being more so. What a pretty look. Thank you so much for bringing such great tips on how to more easily apply our eyeshadows for a more lifted look. So very pretty. I continue to learn from you in makeup applications. I am loving the Reishi Concealer, brush, cream bronzer and pink setting powder. Have a blessed Church Service and restful day.
Thank you SO much for this video tutorial. I struggle with eyeshadow and putting on eyeliner often. Your tutorial made it easy (and step-by-step) and effortless. I'm DEFINITELY going to try this look. LOVE the eyeshadow pallet. ❤❤ Your eyes and the colors on you, look beautiful. Thank you for sharing this video. 😊❤🌺
Beautiful make up look and yes the hooded eye look brilliant. The highlighters you use are excellent at hiding or concealing dark circles, I’m finding as I age the circles become darker and harder to cover up. Also I have one blush palette and some days it does not give a good rich colour. Time for a couple more I think. Thank you as always 😊
After watching this tutorial I went to my Ulta app and bought this eyeshadow pallet. Looks light and soft natural color choices. Thanks for all your helpful tips. As always you inspire me.
I followed your instructions as I got ready yesterday morning. Wow! I could definitely see a difference. I don’t know if anyone else noticed since I wear glasses but I sure did. Thank you for an exceptional tutorial.
Thanks for the tutorial! I need to practice this technique on my mismatched eyes. Please remind us in other eye looks (sometimes) how to do this technique. Really beautiful look! Where can the little lash curler be found? I'm so grateful for all you do for your viewers. Blessings!
Thank you for your tutorial! I do have hooded eyes at 67 yo. I also love the doll 10 concealer, have it in light medium . The eye look, I think I can do with my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. Looks Beautiful as always, Sharalee!!❤️🙋♀️😊🇨🇦🐶
Hey Sharalee! Perfect timing! Heading to AZ this weekend which means Ulta shopping!! I really love the look of that palette so will need to check it out, Great tips as well since I am struggling with my eyes as I get older. You may it look so easy! Beautiful as always 😘 Oh forgot to mention - I alwys get that gap when I think I am finished and I get so frustrated. Thanks for the tips.
That looks like new packaging for that Ulta eyeshadow palette. It used to be square pans and standard plastic square shape packaging too. I like the round pans, but it seems like it didn't need to be that big. Great look, these are all awesome tips. ❤❤
Absolutely stunning you look fantastic. Your make up is flawless and it looks so great. I can’t wait to try all your tips and it’s amazing how it really does make a difference . as you were putting on your eyeshadows and you started doing the liners and you only had that one right eye mostly done You can totally see the difference. It literally looked like your eyes were like slanted like you’re right one totally went diagonally into your left eye. awesome tutorial. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing. And again, I can express how young and radiant you look and I don’t even personally know you but keep it up. You’re so inspiring thank you.❤😊
I use a similar technique for my unevenly hooded eyes. I dont worry too much about being messy on the outside corner. I just use a pointed qtip with micellar water to clean it up
What a great finished look !!! It’s so neat to watch you do your eyes. As I’ve said before you are the expert 👍. Oh my goodness. Sharalee and her outstanding striking eyes 👍👍 You would never know you have hooded eyes Love your whole look. 🩷🌷🩷🌸🩷
Wow, what a difference this technique makes! How did your hair dresser do your color? It’s beautiful on you! Thanks for sharing 🙏. So glad I ran across your video!
Oh Sharalee between the hooded eyes, wrinkles and folds I'm not sure that I have room for this! 😂 But seriously, I have been using a cotton bud for years to "lift" the outer corner of my eye make up and give a lifted look. My girls used to laugh but as they are both early middle aged now they understand why I did it. Thank you for your tips and tricks. Hope you have all had a glorious Sunday. God bless xx
@@AlwaysStampinUp sorry I am in the UK. It's what we call a QTip. I just swipe up the corner of my outer eye, similar to Sharalee when she is cleaning up her under eye area. It pulls everything up and makes a faint line similar to Sharalees tip xx
I currently do this and agree helps with hooded aged eyelids, I use glitter glue and love it as it keeps mu shadow where I want it to stay , I will have to try the sticks used in lower lash line. I stopped putting shadow or using mascara on lower lash line as it smudges and hate it lol TFS xoxo. New to you today
Hi Sharalee! New subscriber here - love your videos!! I saw a couple of videos recently of people doing very brown smoky makeup looks. I would love to see you do one and find out how the look appears on us blondes.
Welcome!! I'm so happy you are enjoying my videos💕 I do love a good brown smoky eye! I'll link the "Espresso Girl Makeup" that I did several months ago....might be time to do another one though😘
Very nice! Good job! Your technique really works on your lovely skin. But you have no wrinkles. Not sure all the procedures would work on an old face...😊❤
Hi Sharalee, Great tutorial dear, I am a hooded eye gal as well and the struggles are real. Love your top in this video, please share where you found it, I looked in the description and didn't see it listed there. Thanks so much, Gale The Happy Stamper :)
When you do that touch-up on the outer corner, would it help if you sprayed your brush with setting spray and then tap in some shadow? Would that help to make the shadow adhere better? I'm thinking of trying that with first application of shadow so that there might not be any reason for a touch-up. What do you think?
I would like to purchase the Laura Geller Kohl shadow sticks that you used; however, I'm not finding them on line. Can you tell me where I might find them?
I also have them linked below the video on Amazon or you can buy directly from Laura Geller's website😊: www.laurageller.com/collections/eyes/products/kajal-longwear-eyeliner
Putting the brown pencil under your eye on the lateral edge, immediately lowered the look of your eyes. Your eyes lower there as it is, so emphasizing that doesn't make sense. If you feel you need to put color there, use something a few shades lighter and don't take the pencil all the way to the edge of your eye. Stop just short
I sincerely think women over 29 look better without eye makeup. Eye makeup on a 20 something can look beautiful but after that eye makeup is aging to the woman, IMO.
Twenty-nine is an odd number to choose. Why not 28 or 30? For women that don't have hooded eyes, eye makeup can be used indefinitely. It's very much up to your eyes. I couldn't imagine stopping eye makeup when I was in my 30s, 40s, and beyond. The right brushes, the right eyeshadow (no cheap crap), the right eye primer (an essential step so your shadow doesn't migrate above the lid, and the shadow is more vibrant and smooth), the right color, the right technique, are all part of the end result. Book an appointment at Mac Cosmetics for an eyeshadow makeover. They have great brushes. One very important tip: once you get close to 40, use only matte shadows.. Mac has some great ones.

These look great, but I don't have 20 minutes in the morning to do my eyes!
You can do it in five once you get used to it. 😊
I love your tutorials. Is It mascara your favorite mascara?
Yes, it is!😘
Thank you beautiful ❤
Hello beautiful Sharalee 😍

I'm thinking of trying that with first application of shadow so that there might not be any reason for a touch-up. What do you think?
Yes!! I think that could totally make a difference! You may have to soften the edge a bit but I think that's a great idea to try!😍
Hi… you do a great job
Thank you!😘
Please tell which brushes (who makes them?)
What is the reason for applying the powdered shadow on top of the pencil/crayon?
Do you have an eyebrow tutorial

I have hooded eyes due to my age.
I wished the pencil cream eyeshadow would offer thinner tips. All are too thick and difficult to apply thinly on the eye lid.

Respectfully but totally disagree. It all depends on correct technique
Respectfully also, but if you don’t think makeup over 29 is appropriate, why are you watching this channel? Are you under 29 y/o?
