You are telling the straight up truth! lol I have used the Catwalk root boost ever since I started following you, also the Enjoy Dry Wax, and I don’t know what I ever did before those two products! They make a WORLD of difference! My haircut is almost identical to yours, except my hair is FINE and not thick AT ALL. So it is like the opposite of yours, but I can style it like yours because of these two products. Another trick I use is I dry my hair upside down, have for years, and that helps my fine hair a LOT. STAY SAFE! ❤🥰💐
I watched all the way through. Did what you did exactly. Great tutorial. I was gonna return the enjoy wax…i thought it didn’t work. Viewers, watch her and listen. Use the brush like she’s does too! Move your hair, rat at the root with your fingers. Wow! I used big sexy spray and stay, cuz that’s what I use. Really made a difference. Thank you
You are just precious----and so cute and young. And that's why that haircut/style looks so good on you. I could be your grandmother and I have thin hair, so I'll not try to duplicate that look. I'll just enjoy watching younger ladies demonstrate! Blessings to all of you!
I’ve been searching for a short style to look good on my round face. Obviously, I can’t wear it like hers but while searching I’ve seen older women like me with these pixies and they DO look good on us if we have the right shape face. I’m 70.-Susan
@@mikeboothe (for Susan) I'm sure you will find the cut you're looking for! I've always worn long hair, even when I was young. I have cut it off a few times, but, for me, it's much more difficult to care for; I do better if I just wear it long (with bangs) and tie it in back. When I was working, I shampooed it every day----that was the only way I could style it to suit myself! Now that I'm retired I don't have to do that, thankfully! I'm 77.
Awesome video. Thank you for naming your products. That is what makes your videos a cut above others. I need all the help I can get. My hair is weird. I've been living in Taiwan for the past 11 years and finally found someone who can cut my hair. Just met her about a month ago and her shop is only 2 blocks from my home! In Taiwan, there are no laws requiring a license to cut hair so they all teach each other how to give a bad haircut! Also, products are impossible to find. However, I have some products I've brought back from US that I can use. Your tutorial is awesome because I have baby fine, white hair, and with the products I have on hand, it should work out well. I've had short hair most of my life and I'm 73 now and I love it! Thanks, I love your hair color and style!
Have to tell you that for someone w/fine, thin hair, Catwalk ($) doesn't work no matter how little or much I've used. I get "some" volume, but IMO what someone like me w/fine, thin short hair needs is more of a thickener. I've come to swear by Simply Smooth Thickening Volumizer and/or as a second runner up, Kristen Ess Instant Lift Thickening Spray. Sometimes I follow up w/Tressemé Texture Spray but even w/o that, either of the two above-mentioned products are better than Catwalk for my fine, thin short pixie (gamin) hair. Love all your videos, btw and am an ardent fan of the Enjoy Dry Wax, too. :).
I was so inspired by your Pixie that I got one today! 😊 It's not exactly like yours because I have very fine hair. Feels fantastic! My hair was already short, but I've been so disappointed in the other places I figured I was doomed to a bad cut. Thankfully I found someone with 28 years of experience and she listens! First time to catch you. I have fine thin hair and you've confirmed the techniques I need to have any volume at all. I will look for that root boost. I like that teeny tiny puff of foam or gel it's more precise for the roots. I have a longish bob and i don't need root boost on my ends. Love your pixie. My ears stick out a lot so it's not the most flattering cut for me. Another reason I need volume. 😉
I have a haircut very similar to yours and have fine, menopause transition hair, which means I no longer have the natural curl I used to have, so volume is a challenge. Catwalk Root Boost has been such a help. Wish I could afford that blowdryer
Hi Sharalee! Another wonderful tutorial from you! My hair is a tad longer than yours, but I don’t have the undercut. I do blow dry it the same way, but in Canada we don’t have the Enjoy pomade. I’m using one from AG, but have to watch the amount I place on my hair because it can be so sticky. I do use the Redken Root Lifter ( green can). I went short about 6 months ago after watching you and also Justin Hickox and really love my short locks. Thanks again, Sharalee, love watching you!🙋♀️😊💕🇨🇦
The first time I saw you, you were using the Catwalk root boost, and I love it !!! O have very fine thin and can be done in 5 minutes with my hair. Now the next item on my list is a blow dryer like you have!!! Maybe one day.... Love the enjoy wax and the bedhead hair spray!!! Been watching you for 4 years now!!!! Woohoo And I live in South Louisiana oh the humidity 🙃
I caved and bought the Zuni, Sharalee - I like it! Right now I’m debating about leaving my natural arctic blonde as it is but I really miss the body that hilites give my hair. Great video as always. Your hair always looks nice, no matter what style.
Oh my.....I hit the send button by accident!!!!!!! I was just thanking you and wanted to say your hair cut and style are gorgeous 😍 You are especially talented in the styling and I wish I could find a stylist that could give me that cut!!! And..... your makeup is always beautiful ❤
I am usually the first picture you showed. My hair is very fine. I am sending my son out this week-end for some of those products. you used. You look very pretty in that top......that is your Color.
Another fabulous tutorial, my dear friend! Thanks to you, I’m enjoying my pixie with the Catwalk root boost and Enjoy dry wax. The wax took some getting used to, trial and errors, but what a game changer! One of these days, I’d like to get the Zuvi hair dryer! As always, you look gorgeous!!💗
Hi, Sharalee--You are so incredibly talented with both makeup and hair! Thanks so much for sharing these tips which I definitely need to try. I've never been one who has felt comfortable using products in my hair. I'm just wondering if you wash your hair every day due to adding these product and then do the steps you showed in the video every day--or, do you go one or two days without washing and tweak your hair with some of these products in between washings. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, my friend.
Hello, dear friend!💗 Great question...since my hair is so easy and quick to style, I usually do wash everyday as I love the feel of clean hair. However, I can easily go two days and I literally just scrub my fingers in the roots of my hair to reactivate the product and volume and then add a little hairspray. Voila!😘
@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolatesThanks so much for taking the time to share your process, Sharalee. I'm glad to know you can also go two days without washing and then just reactivate the product and volume. You've truly inspired me to give it a try. Sending warm good wishes your way!
I would love to see you attempt a hot air brush instead of the blow dryer to get volume, using products, to see how you style your pixie cut. I love your hair and have been taking many notes.
I definitely admire your look but choose to get volume for my more old school/vintage (?) short haircut with a couple of plastic curlers on the top and sides most nights, lol. I hate blow drying, hate washing my hair every day, don't want a lot of product and am more into a casual look as a retiree (thank you, Jesus!) who is outdoors walking almost every day here in Ohio no matter what the weather is. I do some teasing and spraying, and if there's too much curl, it always calms down sooner or later. I keep it cut myself and have always been afraid to actually shave my head. I do use good scissors and a Tinkle Comb hair razor thing I found online a couple years ago for the lower back of my head and neck.
I attempted for the past 12 weeks to grow mine out but no no no!! Call my stylist up and she fit me in the next day? I’m also not doing all over bleach, just high lights Lo lights. I wear much like yours , have for years. Hope your day is going well!!!
Hi Sharalee, great hairstyling tutorial. I have very long hair, fine and will not hold a curl. I use the Kendra heat protection gel ( when I am going to use my Revlon oval dryer brush) but I decided to apply Rosehip cold pressed oil in my hair and am shocked at how my hair is not falling out. It was falling out in such a horrible way that I was getting concerned that I would for sure go bald. My hair use to be so so thick. But after applying Rose hip oil to the length, I have pretty much zero fall out, and am not having to blow dry. You look adorable with your pixie cut, but I will always have long hair. lol. Thank you.
My twin sister and I had cowlicks, but I continued to fight against it, while my sister did not. I would always comb/brush it the opposite way for a few decades, then it gradually "disappeared"! It totally went away, while my sister's did not. Was it the constantly working it away the "secret"? I swear that cowlick has not come back in over 2 decades now! 😊
I knew I was missing something for volume! Thanks so much. Now the question of the day (because you are beautiful!).. Can you share your lip color with us??
I love your haircut-style. I have very thin, fine hair, thinning too as I'm almost 69 years old. Do you think I'd be able to get volume like yours if I use all of these products? I'd so love to see a video with somebody with very thin, fine hair.
Cut is Key!! I too had a full head of hair yrs ago, but due to meds my hair has gotten very thin and was already fine. A good razor cut does wonders and u can go 3 days without washing.
@@debiarmstrong1361 After the covid vaccine, I noticed major hair thinning. But I could never go 3 days without washing my hair because I have a VERY oily scalp. lol I wish I HAD a cowlick as that would make my hair look fuller. lol Your hair looks better than my hair in your `before' video. lol
Would you please make a video showing how you add volume to and style the back of your hair? I've watched as many of your styling videos as I can find and have figured out how to do the front, but am still having trouble making the back of my hair do anything except lay flat. Thank you! :)
I love your pixie haircut; I've been thinking about one for a long time because I have such thin hair. Just a bit nervous about going that short. Yours looks very feminine!
The only root boost hair product that works for my hair is root boost catwalk. I’ve tried high end to low end products and still go back to catwalk. I also use a volumizer brush.
I was going to let my hair grow as well then after two weeks, I’m going back in to get it cut shorter. Love this style so much better and it so easy to achieve.
You don't get the BEST results. I would suggest that you blow-dry after applying the Catwalk Root Boost Spray as it may feel too sticky if you were to just let your hair air dry.
Oh man love your cut. I had super long hair then cut it short bob style in sept 2023 , now it’s April 2024 and I want to grow it out again but seeing your hair cut is making me rethink. Only problem is I’ve got curly hair but I straighten it chemically once a year, not sure if my hair will do what yours does
I just love your haircut!. I have tried so hard to get something like it as I know it can't be exactly, but the young girls I have gone to just don't understand how to do it.
I’ve worn a pixie cut for years and always get compliments. People stop me and want to know who cuts my hair. I don’t like the way product makes it feel. I love soft, touchable hair. Luckily my hair is thick, course, and has enough body that I don’t have to do much except wash and wear.
Love your hair. Mine is very thin and fine so much so you can see my scalp slightly. Will try this but i dont have much hope of getting anything near your style. Thanks for tutorial.
I'd SO love to find a hair dryer that has a cool button that STAYS on, not one where you have to hold it down. When you're older and have arthritis, holding that button down is killer. Thank you for this video. I found it helpful and fun to watch.
OH I totally understand that! Actually, my previous dryer, the T3 Cura had a cool shot button that you just press and release and it would stay in cool mode until you pressed it again😘
@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates I found a portable hair dryer that has a setting for cool dry. It was only $20, special price, usually $40, got it on Amazon. I'll let you know if it is worth it. lol I just can't afford the fancy hairdryer you have as I'm retired.
I wish I could afford the hair dryer. Even with the discount it’s out of my budget. I do love the Catwalk and Enjoy dry wax. These are great products!!
Love your hair tips!! You must have quite the following as the Zuvi is currently sold out!! I will keep checking back and order when the stock is replenished. Many thanks. Denny
I watch you video repeatedly and I have been cutting my own hair just a little at a time to get your pixie it’s almost there I had to use a frosting cap because I can’t foil it myself I did get my undercut a little short but it will grow out now I need the right products to use in it and one more trim I’m not afraid to mess with my hair because I’ve paid for a lot worse than I can do it’s just hair it’ll grow out anxious to see if the right products work and my hair is thinner than it used to be
I love your videos. You have helped me do my hair better!!! I could not find the Catwalk but found a good one at Sally's. I did get the Enjoy dry wax and love it !Thanks so much ❤
After watching this episode, I purchased the Zuvi hair dryer. My cut is similar to yours and finer. Now , after trying it for 2 weeks I can say I Dislike It a great deal. I have boxed it up and have gone back t my old one. Many of your suggestions have been useful and I love following, but boy and I sort I put so much money into this one.
Just a fyi: I ordered the Catwalk Root Booster from Amazon after I watched your video. So, today I get a message that my order has been cancelled. No explanation. Other items in my cart were fine, so I am really disappointed about not receiving this product.
I use the catwalk root boost and the enjoy dry wax on my hair … I love them. I also have coarse think hair and mine is heavy so those products help me get and keep volume. Thank you again for the great tips. What shampoo and conditioner do you use since your hair is like mine dark on the bottom and light on the top. I appreciate your tips ♥️
Hi Sharalee... I have been watching your videos for a long long time and love them! I have a question... what size brush do you use when styled your hair today?....I need to purchase one and would love if you could let me know what you use... Everytime I go to my stylist I take pictures of your hairstyle and have her style it like yours and I love it everytime so thank you for being such a wonderful inspiration, not only for hair but makeup as well! Love your channel!! ❤😊
Your hair is a dream - it's straight, a living miracle! Try thick, coarse curly hair which goes frizzy with humidity and looks ratty! I like it straight and professional looking. Add to this A/C issues with the car, randomly coming on, and a/c issues at home! I have to awake at 6.00 am ea. morning to spend 1.5 hrs on my hair prior to work, and it looks great until I step outside to get to the car. Add to this humidity, car window open so as not to arrive at work looking like a boiled lobster and it looks like crap. I have to repeat this nightmare ea. morning. Hours of work.. washing and drying takes 7 hrs.
I hear you! I envy these girls with that lovely straight thick hair... my hair is very fine and super curly. Plus, I live in South Texas by the coast, so it is super hot and humid here! So, I might be able to get my short pixie to look "good" for an hour or so, and by the next time I look in the mirror, it looks like "Granny's short bob." LOL! Oh, well, it is what it is... love your videos! Still going to try the products... never give up!
Hi my dear, I have been trying so hard with my stylist to get your color. Needless to say it’s not going well. It is soo hard to find a good hairstylist, I soo agree!!
You are so sweet🥰 Thank you! I've told Kristen we either need to clone her or take her out on a road tour!✂️
Count me in if you take her on a road trip.
Me too!
Darling! You look fabulous - everything works. As I often say, we gotta work with what we got and you're doing it perfectly!
I am usually the first picture you showed. My hair is very fine. I am sending my son out this week-end for some of those products. you used. You look very pretty in that top......that is your Color.
My hair is thin/fine. I want to try some of the products that she used in the video. Hair is a big challenge for me. 🪻🌼🪻
The Zuvi Halo Hair Dryer is AMAZING!!! A total game changer and I absolutely LOVE mine!!! ❤❤❤
It made me happy when you cut your hair short again it looks so good on you. I have my hair cut like yours and your right it's so easy.
I have this hair too but i just use the stiff gel and a little spray and don't blow dry and it's great!
Your blouse is gorgeous in this video!
Thank you! These tips have helped me a ton with my pixie!
The catwalk root boost has been my favorite. So easy and does the trick. I mentioned it to you a while back. Glad you love it too.
I attempted for the past 12 weeks to grow mine out but no no no!! Call my stylist up and she fit me in the next day? I’m also not doing all over bleach, just high lights Lo lights. I wear much like yours , have for years. Hope your day is going well!!!
Yes it is sooo easy to style-- but you are so darn beautiful with this cut, so beautiful. Love your hair!!!
Products are a must for sure!!! I have to use root boost. Always looking super cute! 😘
You look so adorable with this hair style. Very Chic. And I have this hair dryer and love it.
Products are the answer!
You look adorable with your pixie cut, but I will always have long hair. lol. Thank you.
How cute you are! I really enjoy watching you dry your beautiful hair! You ard so energetic too.!
I have a fine that's cut just under my chin-length hair. Most products leave my hair feeling greasy. Any suggestions for longer fine hair?
Hi again, Sharalee! I have cowlicks too. Every time Peter hears me talk about them, he says, "MOO!".
Sweet Sister, I have a pixie cut and a lot of cowlicks.
I just wanted to say your makeup is gorgeous!! ✨️
Awww, thank you!!🥰
@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolateswhat color lipstick just love it on you
What color is your lipstick? So pretty
That’s what I need , a makeup class lol
Absolutely amazing such an artist with the scissors so quick so fascinating
I love your hair style so much I now wear mine that way for a coup,e of years now . Love your videos!
I was going to let my hair grow as well then after two weeks, I’m going back in to get it cut shorter. Love this style so much better and it so easy to achieve.
What colors and make up do you use??!! Love it!! ❤
Curious but if you just spray the root boost and let your hair air dry…same results? Have you ever tried it?
You don't get the BEST results. I would suggest that you blow-dry after applying the Catwalk Root Boost Spray as it may feel too sticky if you were to just let your hair air dry.
You look absolutely beautiful with short hair❤
Love it! I’m glad you cut it. It’s perfect!
Do you have another video tutorial on how you did your eye makeup for THIS video ? It is so pretty without being overdone ❤️
Love your hair tutorials Sharalee as always!! 🥰🥰🥰
Oh man love your cut. I had super long hair then cut it short bob style in sept 2023 , now it’s April 2024 and I want to grow it out again but seeing your hair cut is making me rethink. Only problem is I’ve got curly hair but I straighten it chemically once a year, not sure if my hair will do what yours does
Wow, you make it look so easy. I will definitely try what you have shown us. Thank you.
I love your earrings, too! Love the movement. Looks great with your hair style.
I love your pixie hairstyle!! It's absolutely beautiful!! Love the color!! 💖💖💖
Thank you, sweet lady💖
@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates You're very welcome!! 💖💖💖
I love that dryer w. magnetic styler. Haircut is Great
Great info. Thanks! I’m thinking of cutting my old-lady frizzy kinky thinning hair into a pixie! I hope I can achieve a “straight” hair pixie look.
The Dyson does that
Thank you very much for the video Sharalee, looking forward to what summer look you are going to surprise us with this year....
I wish I could afford the hair dryer. Even with the discount it’s out of my budget. I do love the Catwalk and Enjoy dry wax. These are great products!!
Beautiful as always, thank you for sharing your tips! 😊
You make it look so easy! Beautiful
I just love your cut😊
♥️♥️♥️
Love your hair tips!! You must have quite the following as the Zuvi is currently sold out!! I will keep checking back and order when the stock is replenished. Many thanks. Denny
I love your hair so much! The cut and color are just beautiful
Got my Zuvi today!!!! Love your videos.
Wahoo!!😍
I watch you video repeatedly and I have been cutting my own hair just a little at a time to get your pixie it’s almost there I had to use a frosting cap because I can’t foil it myself I did get my undercut a little short but it will grow out now I need the right products to use in it and one more trim I’m not afraid to mess with my hair because I’ve paid for a lot worse than I can do it’s just hair it’ll grow out anxious to see if the right products work and my hair is thinner than it used to be
I love your videos. You have helped me do my hair better!!! I could not find the Catwalk but found a good one at Sally's. I did get the Enjoy dry wax and love it !Thanks so much ❤
Found Catwalk on Amazon❤
I was too impatient to wait lol
After watching this episode, I purchased the Zuvi hair dryer. My cut is similar to yours and finer. Now , after trying it for 2 weeks I can say I Dislike It a great deal. I have boxed it up and have gone back t my old one. Many of your suggestions have been useful and I love following, but boy and I sort I put so much money into this one.
Just a fyi: I ordered the Catwalk Root Booster from Amazon after I watched your video. So, today I get a message that my order has been cancelled. No explanation. Other items in my cart were fine, so I am really disappointed about not receiving this product.
A great haircut is key to volume for short hair.
Your hair is so gorgeous, love the style
Absolutely love the hairstyle❤❤❤
Hi my dear,
I have been trying so hard with my stylist to get your color. Needless to say it’s not going well. First time around looked very golden and now I have a blonde “cap” in front 🤪 You have thick course hair correct? How does your stylist get that awesome dark/light contrast? I love watching your videos 🤗
Love your hair & great tips for all hair types!!
Great tutorial and a great job styling (awesome haircut helps) comment is from a former hairdresser.
