I am pleasantly surprised at the capabilities of the van. This video should be used as a commercial for the Revel. I welcome the evolution of the channel. Most people don't have a significant other to support their job. Especially one like yours! For the ones who have negative comments about the channel direction then don't watch. If you're not a Patreon do you even have the right to complain?
I’m so happy to see you use the Winnebago revel instead of the jeep on this trip it’s nice to be able to see you use it to its advantages and show us just exactly what this fan is capable of
You have some pretty nice gear! It shows you take good care of your things. Some people don't appreciate what they work so hard for... I'm impressed! Safe travels.
Two good recent episodes in a row. Yeah, more like the good old days of the good ol' Chris Shontz, solo Jeep adventurer taking me with him in proxy to relive the good ol' days that I'll never see again; at least not in this current life any more. Okay. Keep on truckin'! Oh, and by-the-way. GREAT on-the-move video shots! Superb editing. You're a bona fide pro now, that's for sure.
I’d go for the Taco Bell too! I have been watching you forever and binge watched the day you sold everything and moved into the keep. Congrats on the house Chris. It has been a blast watching you grow! Thanks for taking us along with the journey!
Arizona Peace Trail on Western side of state is a good choice, warmer. RTR was just going on in Quartzite recently. When winter is over you might want to consider the Great Western Trail but it does have some high elevations for winter. Great video, have fun, be safe 👍😎
Super enjoyable episode Chris. So many excellent shots, and it was interesting to see the van in the forefront exploring backcountry. Looking forward to the continuation of this series!
This should be an interesting run, looking forward to it. Give Shannon a big hello. Don’t let the little children deter her from being in the videos, she’s part of the channel now.
I'm very impressed with the capabilities of the van being able to go into what I would call hostile territory LOL. That was a great advertising piece for that van when you were showing the van going down that ravine with all that Rocky territory and it did it without any problem at all that shows me the capability of that van is pretty damn good
Thanks for the air down info. In our 2WD 2500 the factory calls out front psi @ 49, rear @ 71. Is the Rebel the same? What do you consider max speed on dirt in your rig?
I watched a youtube series where a guy rode a mini jeep over 1000 miles of Utah back roads. Of course the mini jeep is inadequate for such a trip. My question is what are more reasonable vehicles for such a trip? I immediately thought of the Revel. Are there any other RVs you can recommend that can comfortably handle long trips of backroads with below freezing to 100+F temperatures? Thank you for your videos!
Big fan here. Like anyone who's breathing I've an opinion. You skip Orangie for awhile and focus on your van. Jeeps are great( own 3 right now) but I bought them because I can't afford a van like that. There's so many jeep Utubers. It's hard to stand out. Not nearly as many Mercedes van vids. One to look up as an example: living the van life (Chad) . Again big fan been watching since beginning.
Always a great idea to air down when out wheeling. Makes it do much more comfortable. With the purchase of your house, are you guys contemplating getting rid of the Revel or the Rover Truck? Just curious.... CHEERS from Colorado
Campsite selection is not always straightforward. But if it’s relatively level and either private or you get a good vibe from the neighbors - that’s a winner.

HI CHRIS 👋 SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE LIKES THE BACK ROADS. I HEAR THE CERAMIC COATING HELPS WITH THE STREAKS FROM THE BRUSH ALONG THE BACK ROADS ? BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! That van needs a winch bumper. It’s only a matter of time before you’re hopelessly stuck and maxtrax won’t help you. I remember watching you get stuck when you first got the Revel-a winch would’ve made short work of that-but being all alone out in the desert-with no help?A winch is worth every penny it cost you.
Yep..welcome into new year..this trips focus was more on stuff n less on the land n its beauty. .food was ok too..box store n grilled cheese..two more episodes till truck..guess I'll wait n see..thanks
I’m a long time follower and still enjoy your videos, but your trips have lost a lot of the adventure feel to them. Seems like you mostly explore just outside of towns, which I understand given the girlfriend, van, house, etc. Hope you can get out for some real adventures soon.
Halfway through your video and no mention of Shannon. We love Shannon and your channel can grow to include more women watching your videos if she is included. Too bad there are some sad pathetic lonely men who do not want to see a happy couple making it work.
Now this is content! You are an artist. I’ve missed this.

Incredible what the Revel can tackle. Pretty tough trails and all the comfort of an RV. Looking forward to the rest of the adventure!
That van is very impressive offroad for its size
Revel should sponsor you! I am in the market for one in the near future and I appreciate you showing the capabilities.
Add a pickle to the sandwitch on the side. Works wonders, more than perfect!
You have some pretty nice gear! It shows you take good care of your things. Some people don't appreciate what they work so hard for... I'm impressed! Safe travels.
Great video, looking forward to the rest of the trip
So you bought your home in beautiful Arizona! Nice choice. 🏜️🙂☀️
Does anyone know if they bought Tim and Kelsey's (from Dirt Sunrise) home?

@Cougar Sand grow up ! What an immature little child. What did she ever do to you? Fool !!!!!

Excellent! vid. Surprised I sat through the whole thing, enjoyed your videography. Do you work for cinema, Hollywood perhaps.

youre my fav grilled cheese chef!
Can the van haul furniture ?
Any chance of you making a trip to Alaska this summer. Would like to see that video.
Shannon is chomping at the bit to go, but most likely 2024 - we both have commitments keeping us in the lower 48 for now.
Thanks for explaining "airing down". While driving thru back country; do most people just stop anywhere to camp overnight??
@@NigelNaughton thank you.

How do you decide a site is safe to camp for a couple days?

How do you have Texas plates on your vehicles when you don’t live in Texas?
Most states will impound your vehicle if inspection or license plates are out of date, eventually he will find this out and pay a hefty price.
