- Ever wondered what a cowdog sees when he’s working cattle?
Well, we put a Hero 8 Go Pro on Reata during a tune up session, and we thought you might enjoy watching it! Reata is one of our Supreme Hangin Tree Cowdogs.
David is also wearing a Go Pro, so you can see the story from two angles!
These calves were just brought in from the pasture two weeks prior to making this video. They had been worked by dogs as a large herd, but now are learning to be comfortable moving off the pressure of a dog in a small group.

I was watching the pitch of her ears as he was concentrating. She is a really remarkable dog
This is super. My small brain keeps getting confused on the editing and thinks that is one tall dog. Haha. Thanks sincerely for sharing..
I also really enjoyed the dogs perspective, and did not mind the tilt at all. Great video, Thank you for sharing!
Best stock-dog channel we’ve found! Remarkable handling, and always superlative footage of it! Thanks, y’all!
Thank you I appreciate it
A neat perspective. My favorite video of yours is still the drone footage of Annie bringing the herd out of the river bottom and up the hill.
That's right! That one, is a hard one to try to beat.
That is also my favorite! It was Such a large extreme and amazing to see it all from the drone above
@@CDdogg303 Right on!
Love the Reata-cam, she's quick like bunny !
So amazing you have Reata an extension of you to manage the cattle when you are incapacitated! I always wondered how these dogs can hear your voice commands while out away from you, the GoPro picks up your voice clearly n yes, love the stabilizer on the camera as she runs about!! Thanks be to God for His hand of protection on you in that accident w/ the bull!!
Yup great video shout out the kids too
Nothing like a boy in a cowboy hat different breed for sure
Go pro view makes the demonstration even more interesting. An aware person can understand so much more what the dog is thinking watching the ears.
This is a great video. Love the perspective from the dog. Helps to know where that dog is at in each action. Loved it.
Very neat video, I love watching cattle dogs work.
The video shows Reata is without any fear. Great idea
You guys make such excellent videos!! Please keep them coming! 😊 my amily love them!
That's some amazing image stabilization!!!
Brilliant video, thanks for posting.
what a great view! awesome vid thank you
Do you buy trained or you train them? That was a very neat video
Thankyou! I train them.
Good video. Praying for your leg. Question - the notch on her ear - was that from birth or did a cow nip it? Thanks.
Thanks! And Thanks for the prayers.
Her ear got notched off by another dog. They didn't get in a fight, it was just one quick bite. My guess is, she got to close to the other dogs food. It kinda surprised us when it happened.
@@dagleyranch ok thanks for the answer!
Great Dog! Can you explain the "Bare" command?
The way I'm trying to use it."There" is supposed to be a stop, and face the cattle and wait for the next command.
Is the metal building new?
Parts of it are. It's been around for around 20 years, but it collapsed under heavy snow a couple years ago and we had to replace the top, but the ends are the same.
Great dog handling, What breed are they?
Thanks! Reata is a Supreme Qualified Hangin Tree Cowdog. You can learn more about the Hangin Tree Cowdog breed here:

Oh nooo what happened to your leg👀😭
A bull ran me over beginning of January. Broke my ankle and punctured a lung. I've got a plate and screws in my leg. I am recovering well, and just now in the last few days I've been able to start walking around, still using the leg brace but without the crutches. I'm thankful to the God for his protection over me. It could have been far worse.
@@dagleyranch Praise God, you are mending well and still with your family!
@@dagleyranch Glad you survived that, they are a very dangerous animal. My friend Maxy wasn't so lucky, big Charolais did him in.
Looks like Reattach has one speed……..90mph
