Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Nice click bait!
Becky made me do it.
@@MillennialFarmer she just had to didn’t she
That’s not Clickbait because we were going to watch it anyways so that makes no sense. Good video Zach.
Dogs made you do it
@@adamLgolf air made him do it
I saw that title and I was like "He broke his leg!?" And then I realized he meant the grain leg.
Ya got me Zach, ya got me
i was there immediately lol
You mean "us".
Me too 😂
@@Atomicbrain1034 me as well I
Better to break a grain leg than a leg leg! Excellent service stepping in to fix it during harvest.
Great work, Becky.
Anna is your Safety Dog - while circling the Polaris, she's checking tires, looking for fluid leaks as well as small animals (or kids) hiding under it. Go Anna!!
The farming community is the best !!
Very creative play on words brother!!!
for once i hope its clickbait
I agree. Growing up also a farmer, my first words after seeing this were a bit …….. salty.
If it is click bait I am never going to watch another video
after watching the vid he is technically right hahaha its just not his physical leg but his grain leg 😂
Me also
Yeah, hoping it’s a grain bin leg.
Hope y’all are having a wonderful day!
When harvest is over bring back off the husk! Your good at getting sponsors have coors sponsor you!
Hey Zach hope you get that leg fixed fast so you can continue on harvest
hope you know its just a metal thing that broke? xD
@@duffy3267 oh did not know that
. Metal or mental??
@@StevenMeckstroththat reply literally says “metal”
So let me get this straight...you spend boocoo bucks on a beautiful new corn dryer and now you aren't going to need it? What a life! I SOO appreciate you sharing all of the challenges you face as a farmer. The farm channels I watch regularly all show many of the breakdowns, blowouts and broken legs also. You are just keeping it real! Love seeing that son of yours growing up and into the farm life!
Maybe, but it'll keep the propane bill way down, nothing wrong with that!
Zach you need to get some walkie-talkies I can hear you in California
Yeah, need to remember to pick them up.
I saw the comment from yesterday's video where this title came. So, I got it right away. lol
It's always good to see Jim!!! Excuse me, the actor who plays Jim.
I agree, glad to see Jim back
You can sure tell who actually watched the video and who just read the title before commenting. :-)
I really enjoy all of the details. I am absolutely fascinated at what you and the family have to do to farm!
Great show !
Got to love click bait when it is accurate and not exaggerated
I love Ana doing her pre trip of the ranger
26:02 I think it's lovely that you're taking your wife to dinner 😊 Hope she enjoyed some time to relax also. Good luck with that leg and the corn harvest.
Gas station cuisine? Roller grill steak.
Great video good to see y'all
The old George Costanza “It was Cold”. I will say it’s awesome to see your dad work with your son.
😂😂😂😂 i can still hear my dad yelling from the top of the grain leg!!! That made my day sir thank you😂😂😂😂
When you can't really understand the words but you get the gist when he's screaming OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF!
I really enjoy seeing the puppers ridding in the back.
I still love the vids after 4 years of watching the best part is when you get your stunt man to do stuff but some how allways forgets his camera
it looks like you have swinging drawbars on your tractors, that makes it easy for one person to hook up implements
Yay! Becky gets to go out!!! ♥️♥️
Balls to the wall well almost guys be safe love the videos
I started off the video thinking you slipped on the side of the silo... then i realized which leg you were talking about... nice one.
you used the title the guy put in the last videos comment😂
Sure did
@@MillennialFarmer you can always blame it on your stunt dubble
You should look into adding a platform and a way to get to that location on the leg.
It would just breakdown in another location that didn’t have a platform. At least that’s how my luck works.
@@ecleveland1 Ideally, every place that has a hatch of some sort should have a platform and a way to get to it so special equipment isn't needed when problems like this happen.
Love the videos keep up the good work
Ana with the 360 degree safety check!
She's such a good girl
@@MillennialFarmer Give her a mallet so she can check tires.
We should invent a handheld kernel detector for checking losses behind the combine. Yeah, you should definitely buy one of those. Me so funny. 👍😊
Hopper load #2 for the season and you have cab corn already...lol It happens though.
First day cab corn! Nice
In north Germany I harvested corn last day with 32% moisture. Not that dry but it dry here max 25% ist realistic. It's normally silage Mais for the cow's but this year we got the silos full, so rest is for the sale to corn. Yield is 10,9 tonnes per ha (10.000 m2) dry corn (15% dry). Sale price is here 200 € per tonne and dry costs 😢 are 2€ per tonne per % to 15%. Costs me 32% minus 15% is 17x 2€ = 34€ per tonne. So closely 500 € per hectare to dry it down.
Good luck to all farmers worldwide!
Zach Lions and Vikings on Sunday Must see Game in Minnesota.
Nice, dinner with the wife, good for you for taking a short break.
Dieter's a freaking legend. What a bloke taking that thing, fixing it up and avoiding the downtime!
nice to see jim back on the picture
I knew what you meant because of last time. Was glad you used go pro. Becky does great editing
I'm guessing Becky didn't get the memo.
Yeah come on Becky roll that beautiful bean footage so the experts in the comment section can provide exceptional guidance through experience and positivity! LOL
I lived in central Ohio for four years. I was surprised at how many farmers let their corn winter over, unharvested in the field until spring. I grew up in Idaho, helped my grandfather on his farm (yes, he grew potatoes, wheat, and alfalfa). Except for the winter wheat an non-rotated alfalfa, nothing was left in the fields.
I love the sneezing, hilarious 😆
hahaha you got me there my man! but totally fine whit it! lets got to the 2 mill subs!
The rain of shame. When you overfill your combine, and it rains corn on your cab.
less drying, more $$ good for you guys
Hope you feel better soon 😂😂
And we appreciate you.
You must be SO PROUD having Onyx being an important worker on the farm. I would be.
Self Care, good for you
I work as a millwright working on grain legs and bins we call that a spoon inside the distributor.
I guess the end of the video answered most of the question from the beginning of the video.
Dickey-John results say it’s dry!😂
You don't need elevators just a 2nd Stunt Double.
it's amazing how german shepards do the same routine every time I have shepard also n he has his set ways
Me too!😂
Me too!😂
Hopefully Santa will bring you some 2way radios for the farm .
No more yelling from atop of the grain bin 😂😂
I assumed it was the grain leg that was broken.
I swear every header trailer sounds like you're dragging a pallet of empty cans behind you.
19:30 - Ha! Took me til this point in the vid to realize what "leg" you were referencing. . . Had me worried there for a bit! ;)
As a 20 yr duck guide the only thing that stood out in your video was the box of Kent Faststeel..... we used to use kent tungsten matrix but then again the owner of the marsh was very wealthy. Another great vid Zak....stay safe cheers from Ontario
Great video
Here's a suggestion, instead of yelling instructions at each other why not use your cell phones!
I think you all could benefit from a set of headphones and mike to make it a lot easier to communicate in noisy condition like when you and Onyx were trying to see what was going on with the grain leg.
Glad to see you got some decent boots! Brunt for the win
Judging that we did not see the footage of the go pro I now have to ask did the SD card or the Go Pro get lost 😂😂
APPRECIATE Y'ALL.... IMMENSELY 😅😊😅😊🎉🎉❤❤
taking you wife out to dinner is a lot cheeper that paying for a devorce 🤣
You should add Sporting Clays to your shooting park! If you do, I'll probably give it a try. We have a sporting clay place near me where I shoot probably 2k rounds a year. I've been wanting to try more places.
Ladies and gentlemen, he got us! 😂
Cab-Corn makes youtube's algorithm go wild ;)
Don't need the click bait but love anyway. Hilarious. Hehehe. Well done Mrs millennial editing to the higjest levels as always. Xxx
Yields are going to be great, and the price probably will be low since other farmers will have the same results. Hopefully you'll make more money anyways...you deserve it!
Motherf... when the camera looked down @2:11 I nearly lost my life 😂
I knew exactly what you meant when I seen the title.. At least I hoped that's what you meant.
I sped up the whole video to see where he broke his leg then finally realized he meant the leg on his grain bin LOL I hope it gets better soon😊😂
Yes CAB CORN 2024!!! I live for this clip every season on this channel!!!
I hope you feel better soon from mcbee sc
I have to laugh at all the people saying get well soon and sorry for your health. It's obvious they didn't watch the video. Must be bots.
Honestly I bet Jim's right, in the early morning sitting in the shade vs being out in the sunlight during the middle of the day.
Enjoy dinner when you get the chance. Glad that was the leg you were talking about.
Not OSHA approved but put a power ladder on the backside or next to it and you can hit a lever and bring yourself up there for about $1500-$2000 per list probably cheaper used
If you're in Minnesota and don't know how to load your shotgun... you're probably the governor.
In Serbia we have 9-11% corn moister because of dry and hot summer (temperature goes 104+ F degree, 25+ days in August) so we harvest corn in first week of September (in normal year with lot of raining days in summer and normal temperature we remove corn in mid October)...yield was excellent for this dry and hot summer with no rain over 25+ days and it was over 160 bushel/acre or in metric units over 11000 kg/Ha.
Greetings from Serbia to all farmers in USA and rest of the world....
My boy needs bin Cams!
It took me a minute then I realized the play on words. I knew they were having trouble ls with the grain leg so that's what I was expecting. Not his leg. Very creative using the go pro to video the leak but we didn't get to see it so that sucked but I'm sure there wasn't anything to see.
He say "I don't care wats u think" 😅😅
Right on Zach. Wife's r important
I'm really surprised you don't have a platform under that turnhead. Might want to think about building one in the offseason. That's an expensive service call for a little hole.
Your dogs really like the Polaris 😂😂
you couldnt wait a few days or so to get cab corn jezze.
That is so weird my GSD does the exact same thing whether she's getting in the Jeep or the side by side gotta circle it first. I think she's just checking for muggers. Lmao 🤣😂
That bean dust makes the best of us sneeze
And here I thought I was the only guy that called their dog numb nuts😂
What happened to your stunt double Zack???? He wouldn't fall off the grain leg for you???? LOL
You should hook up 2 cups with a string style telephone for each bin so you don’t have to yell at each other.
Because there’s literally zero other options available in 2024.
Zach a couple of things, if you had one of those drive over augers like Cole the corn star could you pipe that into your air system and use that when your leg is down, to unload the trucks? And the 2nd thing, which is a bit political, If Trump becomes President again, you and all the other farmers and trucking people and anyone who drives a diesel, need to write him and get DEF banned, its red tape for farmers and truckers and its highly corrosive.
Glad you bought a 4 person side by side, because what should the dog be doing when you were driving around 😅😅
Gotta use the auxiliary tank😂👍🏼😎
